50: Demonic Secret Technique, the Third Level of the Profound Spirit Dao Seal!

The sixth year of Huang Tian, early in the fourth month.

A certain plain within the Lin Kingdom.

Looking down from high in the sky, the dense crowd of people moved slowly like ants.

Thousands upon thousands of Mortals had their hands and feet bound by coarse hemp ropes, tied into long strings. Under the pained gazes of the iron-armored soldiers, they were driven toward the center of the plain.

These were the citizens of their own country; naturally, they did not want to commit such an atrocious act.

But the Immortal Masters had given orders, and they had no choice.

Immortal Masters were watching over the perimeter of the crowd.

If anyone dared to delay or escape, a few fireballs would come crashing down, and dozens of nearby people—along with the guarding soldiers—would all perish!

In the center of the plain was a massive, bottomless pit nearly a hundred zhang wide.

Looking down from the sky, one could only see a vast expanse of dark red slowly churning.

Densely packed severed limbs floated to the surface—pale fingers or half a human face—only to be stirred and sink back down.

More corpses were piled around the blood pool, constantly being tossed inside.

In the center of the blood pool stood an altar built from white bones.

Crouched upon the altar was a "Golden Eagle."

With a wingspan of nearly twenty zhang, its feathers should have been a brilliant gold, but they were now covered in blood and filth.

Its eyes flickered with an eerie red light. With every surge of the blood pool, red mist rose up and was inhaled into the Golden Eagle's body.

"Goo..."

A low growl issued from the Golden Eagle's throat; it wasn't a bird's cry, but more like the roar of a wild beast.

Its originally magnificent golden feathers began to fall off, revealing a layer of dark red skin growing rapidly underneath, covered in hideous vascular patterns.

Massive tumors bulged at its wing joints, its talons became exceptionally thick, and its claws grew long like scimitars, embedding deeply into the bone altar.

Its aura was climbing at a rapid pace.

"Reporting to the Sect Head, there are already a hundred thousand people!"

A Thousand Spirits Sect Disciple reported.

"Not enough, continue!"

"Yes!"

"The blood sacrifice is almost complete. When the time comes, I will immediately ride it north and slay True Man Huang Tian before it collapses and dies from exhaustion."

The Sect Heads and Elders of the three sects stood by the edge of the blood pool, watching the Golden Eagle's transformation with satisfaction.

Although the secret technique the Thousand Spirits Sect Leader brought out, called "Blood-Transformed Demon," looked extremely eerie, they could no longer afford to care.

They cared even less about the scene beside the blood pool, which looked like a Hell on earth.

As more corpses were added, the blood pool churned even more violently, as if it had gained life, greedily swallowing everything.

The Wind-Chasing Golden Eagle threw its head back and shrieked, its voice filled with obvious pain and madness.

Its eyes turned completely blood-red, and all the feathers on its neck fell off, revealing skin crawling with black veins.

A powerful demonic aura erupted from it as the center, forming a physical shockwave that swept in all directions, even kicking up waves several zhang high in the blood pool.

"It's done! It's almost done!"

Everyone shouted in excitement.

However, at that moment, none of them noticed a yellow figure standing amidst the clouds high in the distance.

This person was none other than True Man Huang Tian.

"Catalyzed by a secret method, eh..."

"Quite a clever trick. If I hadn't arrived in time, it might have actually cost me a bit more effort."

The Yellow Heaven Cult had hundreds of Cultivators and had long since brought these areas of the Lin Kingdom under surveillance.

What he had to do now, of course, was to go down immediately, interrupt the secret method's progress, and kill this Golden Eagle directly.

Wait until the secret method was complete and then have a head-on confrontation?

How could that be possible? He wasn't stupid!

...In the center of the blood pool, the demonic aura was about to reach its peak.

The "Golden Eagle's" wingspan had already exceeded thirty zhang. Its skull gradually deformed, its beak grew to six or seven zhang long, and its split mouth revealed layers upon layers of jagged teeth.

The originally dazzling golden feathers had all fallen off, and its body was covered in strange dark red scales. Its wings were covered in bone spurs and tumors, and its tail had turned into a long whip covered in barbs.

Its eyes were two bottomless blood pits, within which burned wicked flames.

But at that moment, golden light suddenly flashed in the sky. The "Golden Eagle" abruptly looked up, instinctively letting out a strange, uneasy roar.

"Goo... Roar..."

"What's the situation?"

"What's wrong? What happened?"

The Elders and Disciples of the three sects finally noticed something was wrong. In their panic, they all looked up at the sky.

They saw a burst of golden light suddenly erupt, accompanied by profound Daoist sounds that rolled like thunder, pouring down from the high heavens.

"Huang Tian Talisman Law!"

"Nine Heavens Decree!"

"Profound Spirit Dao Seal Third Layer — Open!"

A terrifying pressure surged forth majestically, accompanied by visible ripples of golden light that spread outward frantically.

"Above to the Jade Firmament, Golden light in ten directions."

"Azure Heaven and Yellow Earth, my body rises as the sun."

Boom—

The Heaven And Earth Spiritual Essence within a ten-mile radius rapidly converged toward him, forming a massive vortex.

The Elders and Disciples of the three sects below all widened their eyes, their footsteps instinctively retreating out of fear: "This, this is... the Cult Master of Huang Tian Cult!"

"He's here!!!"

Terrified screams rang out continuously.

High in the sky, shrouded in dense golden light, True Man Huang Tian's body began to grow rapidly.

One zhang, two zhang, five zhang... until ten zhang!

The brilliant golden light condensed into physical runic armor, covering his entire body. His towering figure looked just like a Heavenly God.

"ROAR!!!"

The "Golden Eagle" seemed to sense the threat and let out a deafening roar, taking the initiative to attack.

It opened its giant mouth and spat out a pillar of blood-flame several zhang thick, crushing through hundreds of zhang of air and charging straight toward the golden armor giant in the sky with an explosive boom.

True Man Huang Tian raised his right hand.

His golden palm suddenly expanded to dozens of zhang, slamming down hard against the blood-flame.

"BOOM!!!"

The moment the two collided, an earth-shattering explosion occurred, and a massive mushroom cloud of interwoven gold and blood-red erupted in the high sky.

However, when the blood-flame dissipated, everyone was shocked to find that the golden armor giant was completely unharmed.

"Is this the power of a Dao Foundation Stage Cultivator?"

A Disciple muttered to himself with a terrified expression.

"A beast is, in the end... a beast!"

True Man Huang Tian did not give it a second chance.

He took a step forward, like a sky-propping giant suddenly beginning to dive. He descended from the heavens with the explosive sound of air being crushed, trailing a hundred-zhang-long golden wake behind him.

Wooo—

"Die!"

BOOM————————!!!

Accompanied by an explosion that felt like the heavens were collapsing and the earth was rending, it was as if a golden meteorite had fallen from the horizon. The ground rose and fell like waves.

A mushroom cloud two to three hundred zhang high rose slowly, and a golden storm swept across a five to six-mile radius.

When the commotion subsided slightly, only a charred deep pit remained, along with bits of golden flames still burning.

The crimson blood pool, the pale corpses, the roaring demon, and the dazed Cultivators... all had vanished.

Not even ash remained.
