Liora gritted her teeth and thought to herself, This system is more like a bank, constantly pushing me into debt and taking ten times more from me.

The system was definitely taking advantage of her innocent nature.

But still, she gritted her teeth and decided to take help from the system because she had guessed that the warehouse was really deeply hidden. Finding it would not be easy, and she could definitely not leave this rare item behind.

Okay, I will take another loan from the system, Liora said with a choked voice, trying hard to stop herself from lashing out at the damn system.

The continuous notifications popped up from the system, making Liora's head dizzy from the sound. As the last notification rang, an arrow appeared in front of Liora.

"Whoa? What is this?" Liora tried to touch the arrow, but the arrow twisted its length and jumped sideways, avoiding her hand completely.

Liora had a baffled expression on her face and couldn't help muttering, Like master, like apprentice.

The arrow twisted its body, and Liora felt it was actually making a face at her.

"You rascal," she tried to grab it once again to beat the crap out of it. But the arrow dodged again and bent its body inward like it was laughing at her.

[I wouldn't take responsibility if the arrow decided to disappear, and the survival points used to initialize it will not be refunded,] the system's voice rang indifferently, as though it didn't care about the world.

"Then tell this rascal to lead the way, or I can't guarantee I won't make it disappear from the world."

"You are no longer a princess, host."

Liora: "..."

The arrow suddenly started moving. "Finally, its conscience has awakened that it has to do work," Liora thought in her heart and followed the arrow with a roll of her eyes.

The arrow continuously moved from shelf to shelf at full speed, which made Liora grit her teeth and curse this damn arrow again.

It could move so fast because it was just floating in the air, but for Liora, it soon became a headache. The supermarket floor was not clean, and many paths were blocked by overturned racks and spoiled items.

There were also many blocked areas where she could not go directly. However, the arrow, without a care, just floated above any obstacles.

Here she was, running like a character in a Temple Run game. It was fortunate that the supermarket was big and no one noticed Liora's strange behavior, or she wouldn't know how to explain herself.

Liora was busy cursing the arrow, but soon it stopped in front of a massive portrait and motioned towards the portrait again and again. Liora came closer to the portrait and panted slightly. She looked at the portrait and immediately realized that the door to the warehouse must be hidden behind it.

It was very common to hide something behind portraits in her world. The portrait was not hanging on the wall but was instead tilted against it, and its front was blocked by many heavy racks. To open the door, she had to remove the portrait.

So, she started dragging the racks away from the front of the portrait. The racks made screeching noises against the ground, but she didn't care. It would be better if the trio came and started helping her.

It wasn't like she was too greedy to hide it from them. She would just take the rare item for herself, and the rest would be divided among them.



Liora removed all the obstacles by herself and still saw no one coming. So, she decided to open the warehouse by herself. After removing the portrait, a gate appeared in front of her. She twisted the knob and opened it. But as soon as she opened the gate, something heavy fell to the ground with a thud.

Instinctively, Liora screamed, but her scream died in her throat when she saw what it was. She could not help but cover her mouth and gag.

It was a decayed body, almost rotten. She could tell the man had been dead for a long time.

Liora stood frozen, staring at the decayed body sprawled on the ground. Her mind raced as she tried to piece together how someone had ended up like this in the warehouse.

"Could he have been the owner of the supermarket?" she wondered, her gaze shifting to the stacks of items neatly organized despite the chaos outside. "Or maybe the manager... It looks like he was trying to store these supplies to survive."

Her eyes darted back to the heavy racks she had dragged away. "He must have hidden the door from everyone's view, maybe to keep others from finding his supplies. But what if..." Liora's heart sank as a chilling thought crossed her mind.

"What if the person who helped him hide this never returned, because someone has definitely helped him to hide the warehouse by placing such a large portrait in front of the door? But only to never return again, maybe they have met their end somewhere."

She glanced at the portrait, tilted so casually against the wall, and the racks piled in front of it. "If his partner was killed or never made it back, he would have been trapped in here. Unable to move the racks from inside, he must have realized no one was coming."

Her chest tightened as the scenario played out in her mind. "He probably waited, hoping someone would find him. But with no way out and no one to hear his cries, he must have suffocated in here, slowly and alone."

Liora shivered, her gaze fixed on the decayed remains. It was a grim reminder of how fragile survival was in this world. "He must have believed this place would keep him safe, only for it to become his tomb."
