Selling all those noodles in a single morning was exciting but also exhausting.

Liora collapsed against the wall of the alley, letting out a long breath. Her heart was still racing from the rush earlier. Her hands ached from handing out the noodles one after another. Her back hurt from crouching for so long. And her voice—gods, her voice—was so hoarse it felt like she’d swallowed sand.

She had never done something like this before. Not in her past life. Not in this one.

Being in the middle of a shouting crowd, getting shoved around, trying to keep track of payments—it was too much. Too chaotic and too exhausting.

And the worst part? She knew this was just the beginning.

Her system factory would definitely produce more items in the future. Cup noodles were only the first step. Once she leveled up more, there would be medicines, food, and daily-use goods... so many things. Was she supposed to go out and sell them all by herself like this every time?

No. That was definitely not going to happen.

There had to be a better way.

She dusted herself off and stood up, her expression calm but thoughtful. It was clear now—she needed to stop thinking like a street vendor and start thinking like a supplier.



"Then I’ll be the wholesaler," she murmured to herself. "Let others do the actual selling."

It made perfect sense. She didn’t have time to run stalls. She had missions to go on and become powerful, as the system always said. And in the future, when her factory produced larger batches, she would need multiple sellers anyway.

It was better to set up the foundation now.

That meant getting acquainted with small-time sellers and maybe even bigger merchants. People who already had their own stalls. People who understood the market and had regular customers. She could sell the goods to them in bulk and let them handle the rest.

She was even considering the black market. The prices there were higher, but demand was always high, especially for food and medicine. Still, her factory was only producing a limited number of goods right now, so there was no need to rush into that yet.

One step at a time.

For now, she looked over at the boy from earlier. He was still folding up his cloth and packing away his unsold power banks.

He had stepped in to help her without being asked. No hesitation. No demand for anything in return. In a world where everyone did things for benefit, that kind of kindness was rare.

She watched him for a moment.

He was quick with his hands, polite when answering customers, and he had a sharp eye for spotting trouble. More than that, he had a certain calmness. He didn’t look older than fifteen or sixteen, but he handled the crowd better than some grown men.

Maybe she should consider this teenager for her future goal. After all, she needed reliable and trustworthy people, and definitely not a greedy one or Liora doubted before she could start earning, the greedy ones chew her bones and spit them out. And last, she had to make sure about her protection. What if someone snitched on her and some started targeting her? The possibility was never zero.

But all of this is for the future. She would build something bigger than anyone imagined.

But for now—she would start small.

Just like her factory.

Just like her first cup of noodles.

Liora walked deeper into the dim alleyway, glancing around to make sure no one was following her. Once she was certain she was alone, she pulled off the wig, letting her real hair fall back into place. She removed the mask next, then wiped the dirt from her face with a damp cloth she had prepared earlier.

Her disguise was gone, and her true self had returned.

She reached into her bag and pulled out the thick stack of EUs she had earned from selling the cup noodles. As she counted the money, her lips curled into a smirk.

"90 cups at 100 EUs each... that’s 9,000 EUs."

Her fingers ran over the crisp bills, and for the first time, she truly understood why so many people in the base preferred selling goods over taking missions.

A low-grade mission usually earned between 500 to 1,500 EUs, and it could take a full day or even longer to complete. Some of the harder ones paid a little more, but they also came with higher risks.

Yet, in just half an hour, she had made what would take six to seven missions to earn.

She hummed a little tune as she tucked the money away. With this, her factory system was already proving its worth.

Satisfied, she made her way back toward the base to find the trio. When she spotted them, she almost laughed.



Zhou Yinuo, Chen Wei, and Liang Zihan sat on a bench near the marketplace, looking completely dejected. Their shoulders were slumped, and they had identical looks of regret on their faces.

"They seriously look like they just lost a fortune," Liora muttered under her breath.

As she approached, she overheard their conversation.

"I can’t believe we missed it," Zhou Yinuo groaned. "100 EUs for a cup of actual noodles? That’s a steal!"

"And it was delicious too!" Chen Wei added, practically mourning. "I heard people say it tasted even better than the ones before the apocalypse!"

Liang Zihan sighed. "We have enough supplies to last a month, but that was too good to pass up. We should have bought more while we had the chance."

Liora raised an eyebrow. They had plenty of food stocked up, yet they were still upset about missing out?

She resisted the urge to laugh. If only they knew the "old lady" selling those noodles was actually her.

But she wasn’t about to reveal that secret.

Instead, she put on a thoughtful expression. "Is it really that good?" she asked, feigning curiosity.
