121: Sorry, I've bought this mountain.

The Laws of the Xuantian Immortal Domain were like an incredibly heavy blanket woven from mercury, pressing down ruthlessly on every newcomer.

Ye Chenfeng and the others sat cross-legged, struggling to circulate the newly transformed Immortal Essence within their bodies, trying to adapt to this crushing weight that felt as if it would grind their bones to dust.

Every one of their faces was filled with gravity and novelty.

Every breath here carried a pure energy that was incomparable to the Lower Realm.

But it was precisely this energy that made them feel like drowning men; surrounded by water, yet unable to drink a single drop, instead being choked by the discomfort.

Only Chu Xuanjin remained in his usual state, looking as if he had just woken up, leaning against an unknown ancient tree and letting out a yawn.

His Late-stage Golden Immortal cultivation allowed him to disregard this level of Law suppression as if it were nothing.

To him, the air of the Immortal Realm was merely a bit fresher than that of the Lower Realm.

He didn't bother with the Disciples who were struggling to 'learn how to walk'; instead, he slowly closed his eyes and allowed his terrifying Golden Immortal-level Divine Thought to spread cautiously toward the surroundings, like a drop of ink falling into clear water.

He was very cautious.

This was not the Azure Cloud Continent; he was no longer that invincible existence who could cover the entire world with a single thought.

The waters of the Immortal Realm were deep; heaven only knew which remote corner might hide an old monster at the Immortal King or Immortal Venerable level.

If his Divine Thought swept over and disturbed some big shot who was napping, the consequences would be dire.

His Divine Thought was like a silent drizzle, quietly brushing over a hundred-mile radius.

Soon, a three-dimensional scroll filled with vibrant life slowly unfolded in his mind.

This was a vast and boundless primordial mountain range, with ancient trees reaching the sky and vines like dragons; the age of any random tree was longer than the oldest Imperial Dynasty in the Lower Realm.

In the mountain streams, giant pythons a hundred zhang long with single horns on their heads were breathing fire.

On the cliffs, Immortal birds with thousand-meter wingspans and feathers like gilded gold were grooming their plumage.

Their Realms were at least at the Earth Immortal level, and there was no shortage of powerful Heavenly Immortal-Rank Yao Beasts.

In the gaps between the territories of these powerful beings grew countless Immortal Plants and Spiritual Roots that did not exist in the Lower Realm.

He saw a three-thousand-year-old jade marrow ginseng stretching its leaves, greedily absorbing the Immortal Qi.

He also saw a patch of mushrooms shimmering with seven-colored light; each one contained pure medicinal power sufficient to make even a Heavenly Immortal envious.

"Tsk, even a backwater place is this rich. If we get to a main city, won't it be incredible?"

Chu Xuanjin smacked his lips, feeling like a country rat that had entered a treasure vault.

Just then, his Divine Thought captured a faint human aura.

In a valley about eighty miles to the east, several Cultivators were besieging a Late Stage Earth Immortal Variegated Tiger.

Those Cultivators were wearing uniform green Daoist robes, and their cultivations ranged from Early-stage Earth Immortal to Middle Stage.

They coordinated tacitly, clearly coming from the same Sect.

"It seems this place isn't a no-man's land."

Chu Xuanjin withdrew his Divine Thought, having a general idea of the situation.

He opened his eyes and looked at the Disciples who had basically adapted to the Law suppression and were standing up one by one, then cleared his throat.

"Ahem, players, welcome to the Newbie Village."

He pointed to the surroundings.

"The scenery is nice, and the monster levels are okay, but there's just a lack of user-friendly guidance."

"Now, we have two paths before us."

He held up one finger.

"First, find a cave and Cultivate while AFK. Once you've all become True Immortals or Heavenly Immortals, we'll go out and roam."

He held up a second finger.

"Second, we go straight to the nearest Sect and discuss things with them to see if they can transfer their territory to us at a friendly price."

Upon hearing this, Zhao Wuyou's Battle Intent immediately soared.

"Revered Master, I choose the second one!"

"Agreed!" Ye Wushang licked his lips, the Devilish Qi all over his body stirring restlessly.

"Get lost," Chu Xuanjin laughed and scolded. "All you think about is killing. We are a proper Sect; we must win people over with virtue."

He paused, a kind smile appearing on his face.

"So, I've decided that we'll first find a place to settle down."

"Then we'll send someone to have a good... exchange of feelings with the neighbors."

"For example, ask them if they're interested in merging into our Myriad Dao Divine Sect to become a glorious branch."

Everyone: "..."

How is that any different from outright robbery?

Just as Chu Xuanjin was preparing to take everyone to 'invite' that jade marrow ginseng back as the Sect's first fixed asset in the Immortal Realm...

In the distant sky, several streaks of light were rapidly flying toward them from afar.

The light was extremely fast, arriving before them in the blink of an eye.

The light dissipated, revealing five Cultivators dressed in green Daoist robes.

The leader was a middle-aged man with triangular eyes, whose cultivation was at the Early-stage True Immortal level, his face carrying an indelible arrogance.

Behind him followed four young Disciples of the Earth Immortal Realm, each also looking quite haughty.

They had been passing through while hunting a Yao Beast, but they hadn't expected to see a group of 'natives' with mixed auras and strange clothing here.

"Hmm?"

The triangular-eyed man's gaze swept over Chu Xuanjin's group, and his brow furrowed slightly.

When he saw Su Linger's peerless beauty, a flash of undisguised greed and amazement crossed his eyes.

Then, he sensed the aura belonging to the Lower Realm on them, which had not yet fully fused with the Laws of the Immortal Realm.

He smiled.

It was the kind of smile full of superiority that a hunter has when seeing prey.

"I wondered who it was; turns out it's a group of Ascenders who just crawled up from the Lower Realm."

The triangular-eyed man's voice was full of contempt.

"Your luck is really not that great."

"This Qingming Mountain Range is the territory of my Qingmu Sect. You ants from the Lower Realm, do you know what crime you've committed by trespassing here without permission?"

A young Disciple behind him immediately took the hint, stepped forward, and shouted harshly.

"Crime?" Chu Xuanjin picked his ear, as if he hadn't heard clearly.

"Trespassing on the territory of an Immortal Sect, according to the Laws of our Immortal Domain, at best results in having your cultivation crippled and being relegated to a mine slave. At worst, your Divine Soul will be extinguished!"

The more the Disciple spoke, the louder his voice became, as if he already controlled everyone's life and death.

"Oh," Chu Xuanjin nodded, realization dawning on him.

"So this place is called the Qingmu Sect. The name is nice, quite environmentally friendly."

His indifferent attitude caused the smile on the triangular-eyed man's face to gradually turn cold.

"Kid, it seems you still haven't figured out the situation."

His gaze landed on the jade marrow ginseng emitting a faint Immortal light under the large tree not far away, and the greed in his eyes grew even stronger.

"This jade marrow ginseng is something my Qingmu Sect has nurtured for hundreds of years. It's about to mature, and you lot dare to covet it here?"

"Now, I'll give you a chance to live."

He reached out and pointed at Su Linger.

"Leave that woman behind."

"Then, all of you break one of your own arms and hand over all the storage Magic Treasures on your persons."

"If you do this, I can decide to spare your lives and let you enter my Qingmu Sect as servants, which can be considered a great fortune for you!"

He spoke these words as if they were a matter of course, as if letting Chu Xuanjin and the others become slaves was a great blessing for them.

The several Disciples behind him also revealed playful smiles, looking at Ye Chenfeng and the others like a flock of lambs waiting to be slaughtered.

In their view, what resistance could a group of 'country bumpkins' who had just ascended and hadn't even fully adapted to the Laws of the Immortal Realm possibly offer?

However, just as his voice fell...

An incredibly cold Sword Intent instantly locked onto them.

Ye Chenfeng slowly stepped forward, his gaze terrifyingly calm.

"Say what you just said one more time."

Zhao Wuyou also tightened his grip on the dragon emperor halberd, his knuckles turning white as a domineering and peerless Battle Intent rose into the sky.

"A mere True Immortal dares to be disrespectful to my Revered Master?"

Ye Wushang was even more direct, his lips curling into a cruel arc.

"I haven't tasted a True Immortal yet."

Locked on by three terrifying auras, the triangular-eyed man and the Disciples behind him all changed their expressions.

They were horrified to discover that each of these seemingly ordinary Ascenders actually brought them a sense of fatal threat!

Especially the youth with the sword; that pure Sword Intent actually made him, a True Immortal, feel a trace of palpitations!

How was it possible!

How could a group of guys who just ascended have such strength!

"You... what do you want to do!" the triangular-eyed man shouted, his voice harsh but lacking confidence.

"I am an Outer Sect Deacon of the Qingmu Sect, Zhang Tao! If you dare to touch me, you will be an enemy of the entire Qingmu Sect!"

"Qingmu Sect?"

Chu Xuanjin, who hadn't spoken, finally sat up slowly from the tree.

He brushed the dust off his clothes and looked at the man named Zhang Tao with an extremely brilliant smile on his face.

"Do you know that you've interrupted my contemplation of life?"

Zhang Tao was stunned, not understanding what he meant.

"Contemplation?"

"That's right," Chu Xuanjin nodded as if it were obvious.

"I was just thinking whether our Sect's first territory in the Immortal Realm should be bought with money or directly robbed."

"I was originally hesitating, since we are a prestigious and upright Sect that emphasizes winning people over with reason."

He sighed and spread his hands.

"But after what you said, I suddenly figured it out."

"Figured out what?" Zhang Tao asked subconsciously.

The smile on Chu Xuanjin's face became even kinder.

"Thank you."

"It was you who helped me make the decision."

As the words fell...

He didn't even make a move.

He simply gave Zhang Tao a plain, indifferent glance.

In that instant, Zhang Tao felt as if his Divine Soul had been deathly gripped by an invisible giant hand formed from the convergence of the entire Universe's stars!

Time, space, and Laws all came to a standstill at this moment.

The world in his eyes lost all color, leaving only that youth and those golden pupils that were calm to the point of indifference.

What... a terrifying gaze that was!

In that gaze, there was no killing intent, no anger, only a kind of absolute disregard, as if looking at a pebble or a grain of dust on the roadside.

Golden Immortal!

No!

Even more terrifying than a Golden Immortal!

A thought flashed like lightning through his nearly collapsing consciousness.

He wanted to beg for mercy, wanted to scream, wanted to run.

But he could do nothing.

*Puff.*

A soft sound.

Under the horrified gazes of the other four Qingmu Sect Disciples...

Their Junior Martial Uncle, the True Immortal Realm powerhouse Zhang Tao, simply turned into a handful of the finest ash out of thin air.

Not a single trace of blood or a wisp of a remnant soul was left behind.

A gust of wind blew, and he completely disappeared from this world.

The entire forest fell into a deathly silence.

The four Earth Immortal Realm Disciples stared blankly at the place where Zhang Tao had disappeared, their minds blank, their bodies shaking like sieves.

Dead?

Deacon Zhang of the True Immortal Realm... was killed just like that... with a single look?

"Ah—!"

Finally, one Disciple couldn't withstand the extreme terror, let out a shrill scream, and turned to flee as a streak of light.

But just as he turned...

A pitch-black blade light silently swept across his neck.

Ye Wushang's figure appeared behind him like a ghost, sticking out his tongue to lick the blood from the corner of his mouth, an unsatisfied expression on his face.

"The taste is too bland."

The remaining three Disciples' legs gave way, and they knelt on the spot, kowtowing frantically to Chu Xuanjin.

"Senior, spare our lives! Senior, spare our lives!"

"We failed to recognize your greatness! We were blind! We beg Senior to give us a way to live!"

"We will tell you everything! Just please spare our lives!"

They were incoherent, tears and snot streaming down their faces, no longer possessing even a hint of an Immortal's arrogance.

Chu Xuanjin didn't even bother to look at them, simply waving his hand at Su Linger.

"Linger, ask them."

"Find out everything about this Qingmu Sect and the surrounding hundred thousand miles."

"Don't miss a single word."

"Yes, Revered Master."

Su Linger nodded slightly and walked slowly to the three terrified Disciples.

She didn't even use any soul-searching techniques.

She simply stood there quietly, and the cold pressure originating from the depths of her Divine Soul made the three Disciples spill everything they knew like beans from a bamboo tube.

Half an hour later.

Su Linger returned to Chu Xuanjin's side and reported the information she had just obtained one by one.

This was indeed the East Region of the Xuantian Immortal Domain, a remote place called the "Hundred Thousand Barren Mountains."

And the Qingmu Sect was a second-rate Sect in these Hundred Thousand Barren Mountains that could barely Rank in the top ten.

The Sect Master was a Late Stage Profound Immortal Cultivator.

Within the Sect, there were several Profound Immortal Elders and nearly a hundred True Immortals.

As for Earth Immortal Disciples, they numbered in the thousands.

"Late Stage Profound Immortal?"

Chu Xuanjin rubbed his chin.

"Not bad, not too strong, but not too weak either."

"It's just right to serve as the first stepping stone for our Myriad Dao Divine Sect to establish ourselves in the Immortal Realm."

He stood up, stretched, and waved his hand at the three still-shivering Qingmu Sect Disciples.

"Alright, you can scram now."

Upon hearing this, the three felt as if they had been granted a massive pardon and scrambled to escape.

"Wait," Chu Xuanjin's voice rang out again.

The three froze, the color draining from their faces.

"Take a message back to your Sect Master."

Chu Xuanjin's voice was flat, yet it carried an unquestionable dominance.

"This Qingming Mountain Range, along with that jade marrow ginseng—I've bought them."

"Tell him to name a price."

"If the price he names isn't right, or if he doesn't want to sell..."

He paused, a kind smile appearing on his face that made the three Disciples feel as if they had fallen into an ice cellar.

"Then tell him to wash his neck and wait in the Sect."

"I will personally come to collect them."
