128: I'm really grumpy when I wake up!

That voice was lazy and raspy, like a piece of aged wood forgotten in a corner, carrying a heavy displeasure from being disturbed after a thousand-year slumber.

The voice wasn't loud, but it was like an invisible iron chisel, instantly piercing through Thousand Jun of Thunder's Golden Immortal Domain and reaching the Origin of his Divine Soul.

"Buzz—!"

Thousand Jun of Thunder's mind went blank.

The sweeping drowsiness materialized at that moment.

The world before his eyes was no longer a valley or ancient trees.

Instead, it was an incredibly soft, warm bed, seemingly woven from all the concepts of "tranquility" in the Universe.

A quilt embroidered with stars was slowly covering him.

A pillow condensed from moonlight was kindly approaching the back of his head.

"No!"

Thousand Jun of Thunder let out a roar from the depths of his Divine Soul!

He was the Thunder Envoy of the Purple Cloud Sacred Land! He was a Golden Immortal who wielded thunder punishment and walked on behalf of the Heavens!

How could he possibly be trapped here by such an absurd power!

"Ten Thousand Thunder Heavenly Prison! Open!"

He frantically circulated the immortal essence in his body, and his Golden Immortal Laws erupted!

Thick bolts of purple lightning burst from his body, weaving into a thunder cage made of pure destructive power, attempting to tear this eerie "dream" to shreds!

But those violent bolts of lightning, which could normally annihilate stars, were like flames meeting their nemesis the moment they touched that "quilt," silently extinguishing.

The Law of Thunder had failed here.

His Domain, his immortal essence, and everything he took pride in appeared so pale and powerless before that bed.

It was like a three-year-old child waving his ridiculous little fist at the sun.

"Who is it..."

Deep in the valley, that figure finally sat up slowly from the rocking chair.

He rubbed his bleary eyes and let out a long yawn.

It was indeed Chu Xuanjin.

He looked toward the valley entrance with sleepy eyes at the Golden Immortal, who was covered in chaotic electrical light but held down firmly by an illusory bed, and his brow furrowed even deeper.

"It's early morning, are you at a disco?"

He complained, his voice full of resentment for having his peaceful sleep disturbed.

"Are you going to let a person sleep or not?"

Hearing this, Thousand Jun of Thunder almost spat out a mouthful of blood.

Early morning?

It's clearly noon right now!

And who the hell is at a disco! I'm fighting for my life!

But he couldn't say a single word.

The suppressive force of that "bed" was getting stronger and stronger.

He felt his consciousness being dragged into a bottomless abyss called "Deep Sleep."

“Sen... Senior...”

To the side, Xuan Er and Xuan San struggled to stand up, their faces full of guilt as they looked at Chu Xuanjin.

“Your subordinates are incompetent and have disturbed the Sect Master's quiet cultivation.”

“It's not your fault.”

Chu Xuanjin waved his hand, his gaze falling back onto Thousand Jun of Thunder.

“He's at the Early Stage Golden Immortal Realm; it's normal that you two True Immortals couldn't beat him.”

As he spoke, he stood up and stretched, his joints making a series of crisp "crackling" sounds.

[Ding! Detected that the Disciples' cultivation Realms have increased, rewarding a cultivation empowerment!]

[Congratulations Host, current Realm increased to—Early Stage Immortal Lord!]

In Chu Xuanjin's mind, the System's cold notification sound arrived late.

He paused in his tracks, his expression somewhat helpless.

“Upgraded again?”

His appearance, in the eyes of Thousand Jun of Thunder, became the ultimate form of contempt.

“You... who exactly are you!”

Thousand Jun of Thunder used his last bit of strength to squeeze out a few words from between his teeth.

“Who I am isn't important.”

Chu Xuanjin walked up to him and looked down at him.

“What's important is that you woke me up.”

“Do you know that 'waking up on the wrong side of the bed' is a very serious illness?”

As his voice fell.

He slowly raised his hand.

There was no immortal essence fluctuation, and no Laws appeared.

He just pressed down lightly toward Thousand Jun of Thunder in an ordinary manner.

“Sleep.”

“Boom—!”

At that instant, Thousand Jun of Thunder's consciousness was completely swallowed by darkness.

His final thought was:

He... he isn't a Golden Immortal!

Then what is he?

An Immortal Lord? Or... The ten thousand feet of thunder light on his body instantly extinguished.

His whole body, like a puppet with its strings cut, fell straight down.

With a "thump," he hit the ground.

Then, under everyone's gazes as if they had seen a ghost.

Beside Thousand Jun of Thunder, a slight, rhythmic... snoring sound began to ring out.

He, the dignified Golden Immortal Thunder Envoy of the Purple Cloud Sacred Land, had just fallen asleep at the entrance of his enemy's valley.

And he was sleeping quite soundly.

Chu Xuanjin looked at the soundly sleeping Thousand Jun of Thunder on the ground and nodded in satisfaction.

“Right, what problem can't be solved by a nap?”

“If it doesn't work, then let him sleep a little longer.”

Just as he finished speaking.

In the distant sky, atop that magnificent Thunder Flying Ship, several powerful Auras erupted!

“Lord Thunder Envoy!”

“Audacious madman! How dare you lay a hand on the Lord Thunder Envoy!”

The guards on the flying ship finally reacted, each one with eyes nearly bursting, turning into several streaks of light as they charged toward the valley!

Chu Xuanjin didn't even bother to look at them; he just blew a light breath toward the Void Realm.

“Hu...”

An invisible breeze, carrying a heavy sense of sleepiness, brushed past.

Those aggressively charging Immortal guards all stiffened in mid-air.

Then, like dumplings being dropped into a pot, they fell from the sky with a series of "plops."

They hit the ground with several muffled thuds.

Immediately after, snoring sounds rose and fell in unison.

Outside the entire valley, it fell into an eerie, peaceful silence.

Only those rhythmic snores remained, making anyone who heard them unable to resist yawning... "Law-Following Speech: Sleep Edition?"
