20: I don't accept my leader

Wang Shufen glanced at the work badge on the man's chest.

Her expression straightened, feeling a sense of being flattered.

Being in the catering industry, one had to deal with the Health Bureau to some extent.

However, most of the people she knew were just ordinary staff; she really didn't have the status to interact with someone of this level normally.

"The director praises me too much; in the catering industry, maintaining good hygiene is only to be expected."

The man nodded in satisfaction upon seeing Wang Shufen's calm and composed manner, saying no more.

Meanwhile, the expressions of the onlookers were as if they had just eaten shit.

They had been looking forward to a joke, only to find that they were the joke themselves, while she had taken the lead.

In this way, even if Changle Restaurant failed later and was shut down for rectification, they had still gained some prestige today.

"Pah, what's the big deal? They just benefited from being inspected later. Look, the water stains on the floor haven't even dried yet!"

Second Wu, whose shop had just been shut down, saw this scene as soon as he stepped out. He spat on the ground and spoke in a sarcastic tone.

The others around him immediately looked convinced, glancing at the damp floor with envious expressions.

Inside the shop, the inspection continued.

Amidst the crowd's focused gaze on their phone screens,

the inspectors had already entered the kitchen.

The scene inside left everyone slightly stunned.

They looked at Wang Shufen again, their faces filled with astonishment.

As fellow caterers, they could tell at a glance that this kitchen was much better than their own.

Even the stove, which was the easiest part to get blackened by smoke, was actually as clean as new.

"Impressive!"

"How did she do it? She must have hired a professional cleaning team. You can't even see the most basic years of accumulated grime in this kitchen."

"Boss Wang, you're not being fair. You kept this information to yourself. We're all doing business in the same area; you could have at least given us a heads-up."

His eyes shifting, Second Wu looked at Wang Shufen sinisterly and spoke with displeasure.

Wang Shufen looked at the equally unhappy gazes of the others, her expression turning cold.

"Boss Wu, what do you mean by that? What do you mean by 'keeping it to myself'? Didn't you all receive the notice yesterday?"

"We..."

"'We' what? The authorities were kind enough to give a reminder a day in advance. You chose to ignore it and treat it as wind passing your ears, and now you have the nerve to blame me?"

Wang Shufen, having grown her business to such a scale, was clearly not a pushover; she gave Second Wu no chance to fight back.

As she spoke, she glanced at the director beside her out of the corner of her eye.

The director understood Wang Shufen's underlying attempts to please him perfectly and let out a cold snort in cooperation.

His gaze swept across the crowd without a word, yet it made everyone as silent as cicadas in winter.

Offending Wang Shufen was nothing since they were competitors anyway, but the man before them was a figure of real authority who directly managed them. If they offended him, it wouldn't just be a matter of closing for rectification.

In the silence, the inspectors finished taking their samples.

Moreover, the sampling process once again left the livestream viewers unable to find a single thing wrong.

Because compared to the casual and perfunctory sampling at Second Wu's place, the two inspectors here were truly leaving no stone unturned.

They scraped the chopping boards, the stove, the walls behind the stove, every crevice, and even the burner outlets.

Everyone watching was terrified.

They had thought the previous inspection was excessive enough.

But now, they realized what 'Hell Mode' truly meant.

This was clearly a rhythm of not stopping until the shop was shut down.

Whose kitchen cleaning could cover so many nooks and crannies? And could places like the burner outlets and exhaust ducts really be free of dust?

Under such strictness, the result was as expected. The previously clean white tester turned noticeably black after being rubbed against the burner outlet and exhaust duct.

The two staff members finally showed looks of satisfaction.

Returning to the camera, they transferred the results to the comparison disk in front of everyone.

As the needle rotated downwards, it slowly passed the Grade A zone and then continued down through Grade B.

Finally, it stopped just as it was about to leave the Grade B zone.

"G-Grade B! How is that possible!"

"Nonsense! With so many tricky spots checked, how could it still pass? Did these inspectors not eat? They definitely didn't use any strength, otherwise there's no way there wouldn't be dust."

Second Wu jumped out once again, his face full of defiance.

"Are you questioning our inspectors?"

The director's face darkened, his sharp gaze making Second Wu break into a cold sweat instantly.

He stammered, trying to explain: "Di... Director, don't misunderstand. I just meant that everyone's strength is different, so it might affect the results. For example, in my kitchen just now, is it possible they used too much force..."

"Shut up! You're still not convinced? Your kitchen turned pitch black on the very first wipe. Where do you get the nerve to question them? How about we go back and check your kitchen again right now? Same specifications, same spots, and I'll let you use the tester yourself. If you can pass, I'll clear you immediately. How about that?"

The director looked at this senseless idiot with a cold face and spoke in a low voice.

"This..."

Second Wu was clearly tempted.

But in the next moment, he heard the director let out a cold sneer.

The director casually had someone bring over a testing rod.

In front of everyone,

he pressed it against the wall.

Then, he pointed to a red light that lit up on the testing rod.

"Our testers only light up red when the force reaches a certain level. And our inspection standard is that the red light must be lit every single time. The previous inspection process was recorded; you can go watch the replay to see if there was a red light every time they checked a spot!

So, what right does someone whose kitchen hygiene couldn't even survive the first wipe have to question others?"

After speaking, the director didn't care how ugly Second Wu's expression became and directly called over his subordinate.

"Since Boss Wu feels our inspection might be unfair, we must make people fully convinced. The re-inspection of his shop in seven days must be fair and strict; not a single corner is to be missed!"

"Yes, Director Zhang!"

The subordinate glanced coldly at the now-drenched-in-sweat Second Wu and nodded knowingly.

"Di... Director, please don't. I was wrong."

Second Wu's heart trembled with terror as he tried to beg for mercy.

"No, you weren't wrong. What was wrong was that our work wasn't strict enough! Rest assured, we will certainly be strict from now on."

"This... Director, I Object!"

Seeing that things were beyond repair, Second Wu began to speak recklessly in his desperation.

"What else are you not convinced about?"

The director's face showed he was doing his best to suppress his rage, his voice incredibly low.

"When my shop was inspected, they even moved the refrigerators and freezers to check underneath. Why didn't they do that at her place?"

Second Wu blurted out.
