209: Chapter 209 I am but a mortal, teaching physics to a fairy.

Lin Waner was intimidated by Su Changge's aura and didn't dare to say much.

She nodded hurriedly, stumbling as she climbed up from the ground and stretched her stiff limbs.

"Senior, please follow me."

"The path to the Ancestral Hall is deeper within this grotto, but... it's a bit strange there."

As she spoke, there was a hint of lingering fear in her voice.

Su Changge remained expressionless, only giving a faint "Mhm" to signal her to continue.

Internally, however, he was complaining wildly. Strange? What part of this ghostly place isn't strange?

Lin Waner didn't dare delay any longer, turning to limp toward the depths of the grotto.

Su Changge activated a light orb, following behind her at a moderate distance.

The two moved one after the other through the deathly silent underground grotto.

Aside from the sound of footsteps, there was only the occasional drip of water from the cavern walls.

The further they went, the narrower the path became, and the air grew increasingly cold.

The decaying scent of blood actually faded, replaced by a hollow, deathly silence.

After walking for about the time it takes an incense stick to burn, Lin Waner suddenly stopped.

"Senior, it's just ahead."

"Passing through that stone crevice is the only way to the Ancestral Hall; it's called the 'Abyss of No Return'."

Su Changge looked in the direction she pointed.

On the rock wall ahead, there was a long, narrow crack that only allowed one person to pass at a time.

Inside the crack was pitch black, and nothing could be seen; even the light from the orb was swallowed by the darkness upon entering.

Su Changge's heart was thumping; no matter how he looked at it, this didn't seem like a good path.

But his face remained as calm as a still well as he simply stepped forward.

Seeing this, Lin Waner bit her lip and was the first to squeeze sideways into the crevice.

Su Changge took a deep breath and followed her inside.

The path inside the crevice was short, only about ten paces long.

As Su Changge took his final step, the solid feeling beneath his feet suddenly vanished.

His entire body felt as if it were being lifted by an invisible giant hand, instantly losing all weight.

The sensation of weightlessness seized every inch of his nerves.

He couldn't control his body, his limbs flailing wildly in the air.

"Ah!"

A terrified scream rang out, but it wasn't from him—it was from Lin Waner beside him.

Her situation was no better than Su Changge's, spinning in the air like a fallen leaf.

Su Changge forced his mouth shut, preventing himself from crying out.

But in his heart, he had already cursed the builder of this place a thousand times.

What kind of ghostly place is this!

With great effort, he stabilized his posture, floating in mid-air.

Aided by the light orb still glowing before him, he saw the surrounding scene clearly.

This was an indescribable space of nothingness.

Above, below, left, and right—all was pure, endless darkness.

No rock walls, no ground, nothing at all.

He looked down; beneath his feet was an abyss capable of swallowing everything.

That bottomless darkness made his scalp tingle, and his heart nearly leapt out of his throat.

A word flashed through Su Changge's mind.

"Void."

Could this be the "Void" recorded on that broken stone tablet?

He hurriedly sank into his Sea of Consciousness, attempting to contact the System.

"System! System! What's the situation? Quickly, let me exchange for a Flight Special Effect!"

However, there was only dead silence within his Sea of Consciousness.

The pale blue panel had actually turned grey at this moment.

A line of cold text appeared in the center of the panel.

[Warning: Entered a Strong Law Interference Zone; System temporarily disconnected.]

Su Changge's heart instantly sank to the bottom.

It's over; his biggest backup had failed him at the crucial moment.

"Senior! Senior, save me!"

Not far away, Lin Waner was tumbling in the Void Realm, frantically calling out to him for help.

Her spiritual power seemed to have lost its effect here as well, leaving her unable to fly.

Su Changge watched her drift further and further away, as anxious as an ant on a hot griddle.

He was like a clay bodhisattva crossing a river—barely able to save himself—so how could he save her?

Wait...

Weightlessness? No resistance?

Suddenly, the face of his high school physics teacher flashed through Su Changge's mind.

He looked at the ribbon-like corners of his clothes and then at Lin Waner, who was drifting further away.

A bold idea emerged.

Su Changge bit his lip and untied his outer robe.

Then, using all his strength, he threw the outer robe in the direction opposite to Lin Waner!

In the next moment, a reactionary force pushed his body, causing him to drift slowly toward Lin Waner.

Lin Waner had already closed her eyes in terror, waiting for death.

Suddenly, she felt her wrist being grabbed.

Opening her eyes, she saw Su Changge's face right before her.

He remained expressionless, his gaze calm.

It was as if everything inconceivable that had just happened was merely a trivial matter to him.

Lin Waner looked at him, waves of shock surging in her heart.

In this eerie Void Realm where spiritual power was useless, Senior could actually control his movements!

What kind of heaven-defying method was this?

Her voice trembled, filled with endless reverence and shock.

"Senior... could what you just used be the legendary... Space Law?"
