114: Chapter 114 Big Brother, please don't mess with me! I didn't have to work so hard to find this job!
An Ke watched Qin Xun quietly. She hesitated for a moment, then asked seriously, "Mr. Qin, are you serious?"
Qin Xun nodded, answering quickly, "I am serious."
An Ke pursed her lips, a bitter smile appearing on her face, but in the end, she said nothing.
However, she was now certain that Qin Xun's understanding of the milk tea industry was insufficient.
It takes at least half a month to a month to develop a new product, and that's after having the company's tasting team try it first.
After passing the company's internal tasting, it would then be test-marketed in a few stores.
Only after the results were good would it be promoted nationwide!
Take the pearl milk tea commonly seen on the market, for instance; it's everywhere.
Yet behind its successful development, at least a hundred other milk tea variations were "sacrificed."
This classic milk tea fought its way out of a sea of blood!
To develop a new milk tea product in just one afternoon? And several of them at that? Plus finishing the product mix?
An Ke looked at Qin Xun, feeling somewhat worried.
Although Qin Xun made it sound like child's play, the task An Ke had received was to fully cooperate with his work.
As long as he didn't randomly put his hands inside her clothes, everything else was fine!
An Ke searched for Dudu Tea on a map app, selected a store that might be less busy, and asked the driver to change the route.
Half an hour later, the trio of Qin Xun, Xia Ning, and An Ke arrived at Swan Plaza commercial street in Flower City, Lingnan Province, dragging their suitcases. They stood at the entrance of the milk tea shop.
An Ke explained with a smile, "Mr. Qin, the foot traffic at this Swan Plaza hasn't picked up yet."
"This is a Dudu Tea shop that doesn't do much business; it's quiet all day long. If you conduct... research and development inside, no one will disturb you."
Qin Xun was very satisfied. "Good!"
Inside the milk tea shop, the young clerk looked at the man and two women at the door dragging suitcases and commenting on the place. She was completely bewildered, thinking something big had happened.
An Ke smiled, walked in, showed her ID badge, and said with a smile, "Hello, I am An Ke, the newly appointed supervisor for the Lingnan Province subsidiary of Dudu Tea."
"I need to borrow your shop to conduct... product research and development."
The young clerk was stunned. She glanced at An Ke, walked to the corner, and lowered her voice to call the store manager for confirmation.
"Manager, three scammers came here claiming to be the new subsidiary supervisor. What should I do?"
"But her ID badge looks real."
"It's a headquarters ID badge!"
The store manager was equally bewildered and called his superior, the regional supervisor, to confirm.
"Supervisor, three people arrived at the Swan Plaza store claiming to be the Lingnan Province subsidiary supervisor. Do you think... they could be roaming criminals?"
"They have headquarters ID badges."
The supervisor was also bewildered and, following the reporting protocol, called the regional manager.
The weather in Lingnan Province remained scorching. A glaring fireball hung in the sky, roasting the workers on the ground until they were sizzling with grease.
At the bottom of an office building in Flower City, a group of fifteen people stood at the entrance, all wearing shirts and ID badges, anxiously waiting for An Ke and her group to arrive.
This morning, the company had issued a task requiring them to fully cooperate with An Ke's group to complete the pilot marketing for Dudu Tea.
The administrative supervisor had originally wanted to go pick them up at the airport. However, General Manager Li Honghai had said coolly, "Do they not have feet of their own?"
As a result... he was fired! He was so angry that he threw down his ID badge and left the company.
At this point, they all knew the headquarters' determination. Everyone was treading on thin ice, waiting in line downstairs with trepidation. They waited for a long time, but no one showed up.
Suddenly, a regional manager received a call. When he hung up, he had a bitter, sorrowful smile on his face.
He said to the others, "No need to wait anymore!"
"That... new Ms. An has already arrived at the Swan Plaza store."
"The staff thought they were scammers!"
Everyone looked at each other.
What the hell is this? How could they have already taken down a subsidiary supervisor before even getting off the plane or meeting anyone?
They stood downstairs for so long with anxious hearts, almost tanned black by the sun, only to be told the people had already arrived at the store?
Damn it! Are they here to cause trouble?
Although they were full of resentment, none of them dared to show it, fearing they might be caught in the crossfire of the inexplicable "killing intent" that An Ke brought with her!
This matter was too abnormal. Abnormalities always imply something sinister!
What was even scarier was not knowing where this sinister wind was coming from. Everyone had to lay low and not be the first to stick their necks out.
A dozen or so core company staff from Dudu Tea rushed toward the Swan Plaza store.
The news passed down layer by layer. The young clerk realized that the woman with the gentle smile in front of her was actually the newly appointed subsidiary supervisor and immediately became very nervous.
An Ke comforted her, "It's okay, go on with your work."
"Don't worry about us!"
But she heard Qin Xun suddenly say, "Little sister, you don't need to worry about them, but you have to worry about me."
"You need to teach me how to make milk tea."
An Ke: "..."
She looked at Qin Xun, and the smile on her face finally couldn't be maintained.
"Mr. Qin, do you... do you really not know how to make any of it?"
Qin Xun said righteously, "What kind of thing is that to say? Who is born knowing how to make milk tea?"
An Ke: "..."
She couldn't smile anymore! Her heart was so tired!
Xia Ning stepped forward, looked at Qin Xun, and warned him seriously, "Mr... Qin."
"You took down the subsidiary supervisor the moment you arrived, so the others in the company are probably holding a grudge."
She paused. "For the sake of the work proceeding smoothly."
"I suggest you be more serious; after all, you came here by stepping on Li Honghai's head."
Qin Xun was a bit unconvinced and looked at Xia Ning. "Is it my fault?"
Xia Ning was surprised by his tough attitude and retorted, "Could it be my fault?"
Qin Xun raised an eyebrow. "Otherwise?"
Xia Ning was stunned. "..."
Uh... that seemed correct too. If Qian Yunfa didn't know his identity, he wouldn't have easily removed a subsidiary supervisor. A company's colleague relationships are tangled; firing someone so forcefully is very unwise.
Xia Ning and An Ke sat in the lounge area of the milk tea shop, watching Qin Xun learn how to make milk tea from the young clerk.
"Mr. Qin, the ratio for one cup of original milk tea is 5g of tea leaves, 80ml of water, and 200ml of milk. Of course, the tea base needs to be brewed in advance."
Qin Xun was surprised. "There's actually milk and tea leaves?"
The young clerk smiled and explained, "There wasn't before, but didn't we have a product upgrade six months ago?"
"Slowly, we started adding some tea and milk to it."
Qin Xun shook his head and sighed. "The quality is neither high nor low; no wonder it's going bankrupt!"
The young clerk was surprised and quickly looked up at An Ke in the lounge area, only to see her giving an encouraging smile.
She then felt relieved, though she felt some resentment toward Qin Xun in her heart. It wasn't easy for me to find such a laid-back shop; you, with your loose tongue, don't make me lose my job!
Suddenly, the young clerk heard Qin Xun ask, "Little sister, do you still know how to make that milk tea from before, the one made with milk tea essence and various additives?"
The young clerk was shocked again. Big brother, don't mess with me!
Selling old products as new ones violates company regulations; if caught, I'll be fined!
The young clerk secretly looked at An Ke again, but unexpectedly discovered that she nodded.
