Chapter 172 Foresight Team

Finally, Hakkeran, the leader of their foresight team, has blonde hair and blue eyes and has a healthy skin color that has regularly been exposed to sunlight. He wears chainmail, in which a metallic jingling can be heard coming from beneath his clothes, which sounds like it is caused by the friction of chains."The Foresight Adventurer Team, this time let's see where you can hide Overlord." Eero muttered playfully, then walked toward them,

"How may I help you, Mr." Hakkeran turned and asked curiously, looking at Eero, who appeared beside them.

"Can I sit here? I want to talk to you about something," Eero asked politely.

Imina frowned, but Arche nodded and signaled to a chair on the side. Eero nodded, sat down, then glanced at all four of them and said, "I want to hire you for a task; it is related to the individual inside the ruin you are going to explore next."

All four of them frowned, then glanced at him solemnly. Hakkeran also asked solemnly, "How do you know? "

"It doesn't matter; how do I know and why do I know? I just want to ask, Can you accept it? If you nod, then I will give you something in return that you can't get your entire life." Eero spoke, raised his hand amidst the surprised eyes of four adventurers, gold coins condensed in his hand, and fell on the table. 

Hakkeran took a deep breath, glanced at him, hesitated,

Eero then shook his head and said, "Don't misunderstand; I just showed a slight hand; look at my eye's."

Instantly, they saw four blue vertical pupils; all of them appeared in the middle of the space with stars glittering around. 

"Here." Instantly, they heard a voice. They turned around, looking at Eero standing beside them. He said with a smile, looking at them, "Imagine anything you want."

Arche raised her head in surprise, looking around, then glanced at Eero, who slowly became alert. The other three also became alert and nervous.

"Don't worry, if I want to kill you, you will die instantly," Eero said calmly. Instantly,  a huge pressure fell on all of them.

After a while, they started panting with sweat soaking their whole bodies, looking at Eero with fear and horror instead of alertness.

"You, excellency, what do you want? "Hakkeran then said nervously,

Eero nodded, then raised his hand. A simple woody staff appeared in front of Arch; a bow appeared in front of Imina; armor appeared in front of Roberdyck; and a sword appeared in front of Hakkeran.

"These four items are divine artifacts, known as wish staff, destruction bows, unbreakable armor, and annihilation sword," Eero introduced, then said, 

"These artifacts are sealed; in order to use them properly, you have to complete the first task with them, and the task is the one I assigned you."

Grabbing the items floating in front of them, all four of them were shocked and excited because they felt their strength had increased a lot, as if a buff had been added to their bodies.

"This is also the main feature of these artifacts; the longer they stay by your side, the more you will gain strength." Eero then revealed a trump card playfully.

Imina then asked with a frown, "Can you tell us the task you want us to complete? I bet the price of these artifacts is unimaginable."

Other people beside her were startled. A cold water splashed through their hearts; all their excitement disappeared, looking at Eero frightened and alertly. 

"It's an easy task; when you reach the ruin you are going to explore, you will encounter a skeleton inside with a red orb, a dark elf and a female with horns and wing's." Eero then told them their future encounter calmly.

"Roberdyck, your task is to take all attacks with this armor on your body and save your companions; Arche, your task is to wish for that skeleton weakness; Imino, your task is to aim at the red orb in the middle of that skeleton body and shoot an arrow with this bow when Arche wishes; and finally, Hakkeran, your task is to slash at any creature with your sword beside that skeleton." Eero told them their tasks solemnly, then his figure disappeared.

Outside, all four of the Foresight Adventurers were startled, looking at the empty space. Eero is nowhere to be found. Looking at the sword, bow, armor, and staff in their hands and bodies, their expressions became solemn.

"It seems we encountered a higher being or even that," Arche said, looking at the wooden staff in her hand and feeling strength in her body.

Next, their expression became firm: 'We have to complete the task at all costs. Such opportunity may not come again.' looking at each other with excitement-filled eyes.

Team Foresight then discusses their next job: the exploration of a newly discovered tomb in the Re-Estize territory. 

Arche states she learned their client is Count Femel, who is losing favor with the Emperor but still has the finances to back the job. They are paid 200 gold up front, 150 upon completion, and bonuses dependent on their findings. 

As it is a newly found ruin, Imina notes that those are the most rare, as she thought most were already found. Looking at the map, Arche confirms that there was never an ancient city or nation in the area, but there is a small village. 

Hekkeran reminds them of their major scruple for this job, as if they were found, the Re-Estize royals would take note. They take a vote on the job with unanimous agreement. 

Exiting the bar, Hekkeran asks Arche if her friends should speak with her parents about the debt they rack up, but Arche wants them to pay for themselves while she takes her sisters away from the Empire. She didn't even want to use her newly found prowess to pay their debt.
