36: Uncle Xuan
As Zhou Licheng and the others were filled with emotion, Mo Xuan transformed into a stream of light, his consciousness spreading out. In less than a moment, he arrived at the place where the group had broken through the Formation.
Mo Xuan naturally had access to the Zhou Family's Great Formation, allowing him unrestricted entry and exit. Even if he didn't, the Formation would not be able to threaten him.
After only a slight pause, Mo Xuan exited the Great Formation and, with a flash, appeared before the fifth person, who was hidden in the shadows.
The fifth person was waiting in the dark, observing his surroundings to prevent any unforeseen incidents.
Suddenly, there was nothing else before his eyes, only a massive, black, ferocious snake head, its mouth agape, its gaze fixed on him with an eerie glow.
The fifth person had followed the group, traveling far and wide, and could be considered well-traveled. He had even hunted Yao Beasts before.
But never had he witnessed such a sight: a snake standing upright, its fangs terrifyingly sharp, appearing before him and looking down.
A feeling of terror surged from the bottom of his Heart-Nature to the top of his head, controlling his body so completely that he couldn't even twitch.
"Retribution has come."
The fifth person stood frozen, watching helplessly as the snake's head descended, its enormous fangs piercing him.
The intense pain finally suppressed the fear, and his body regained control, but by then, how could he escape?
His entire body's blood rapidly congealed, and his magical power gradually dissipated. The fifth person's eyes were filled only with pain and fear, as he transformed into a human-shaped statue.
Mo Xuan released his mouth, feeling very puzzled. Why didn't this person try to escape?
Looking at the fifth person, who had died on the spot from just a light bite, he shook his head slightly, no longer pondering it, and rolled up his body, darting towards the Zhou Family.
In the open space in front of the Zhou Family's main hall.
A mysterious light instantly arrived before everyone from a distance. Mo Xuan released the body he had rolled up and nodded towards Lin Muwan.
Even knowing that Mo Xuan harbored no ill will towards them, when directly facing Mo Xuan at such close proximity...
Zhou Licheng and the others were still seized by the fear in their hearts. The hairs on their bodies stood on end, and their bodies were uncontrollably rigid, frozen and unmoving.
Seeing this, Mo Xuan thought to himself, it seems their Heart-Nature is still not strong enough.
The first time Zhou Kaiding saw him, he was crying and laughing. *Cough*.
When Lin Muwan saw Mo Xuan bring another person, she knew that these people had accomplices.
If Mo Xuan hadn't noticed, it might have left a hidden danger.
"Lin Muwan thanks Senior Mo for saving her life."
Lin Muwan spoke her thanks, her attitude respectful.
Upon hearing this, Mo Xuan nodded. If Mo Xuan had refined the horizontal bone in his throat and could speak human words, he would have replied: 'Junior sister-in-law, there's no need to be so polite.'
However, for now, he could only nod as a gesture. He hoped Lin Muwan would understand his meaning, Mo Xuan thought to himself.
"This is your father's close friend, who has saved your father's life multiple times. You must remember this matter in your hearts."
"You may address him as Uncle Xuan."
Lin Muwan continued, and although she was admonishing Zhou Licheng and the others, she ultimately looked at Mo Xuan.
This was to solicit Mo Xuan's opinion.
Mo Xuan originally had no objection to this; it was merely a form of address.
But then he suddenly thought, if Zhou Licheng and the others called him Uncle Xuan, would he then become Profound Ancestor Mo Xuan later?
Mo Xuan's thoughts wandered. This address was not bad, and his heart was filled with joy.
Seeing that Mo Xuan did not object, Lin Muwan glanced at Zhou Licheng and the others.
Speaking of which, this was Mo Xuan's first meeting with the rest of the Zhou Family. Although Lin Muwan knew of his existence, he had never shown his face.
The Zhou Family Juniors knew even less, but Mo Xuan had watched them grow up.
Zhou Licheng, being the eldest, was a few years older and reacted more quickly.
As Lin Muwan looked over, he immediately stepped forward and bowed, saying, "Licheng greets Uncle Xuan."
The other three, realizing it later, also reacted and followed Zhou Licheng in bowing and greeting.
Mo Xuan nodded to each of them. His Aura had long since been reined in, otherwise, Zhou Licheng and the others probably wouldn't even be able to approach him.
He was very satisfied with this first official appearance in the Zhou Family.
After Mo Xuan finished his gesture, he did not linger. He nodded to Lin Muwan again, and with a flash of his body, transformed into a mysterious light and disappeared from everyone's sight.
With Mo Xuan gone, Zhou Licheng and the others finally relaxed, letting out a long sigh of relief.
Zhou Liye's sword-wielding hand was already bruised and purple, clearly due to internal tension and excessive force.
Now, with a clang, the Canghai Sword fell to the ground. This was also the first time Zhou Liye had allowed the sword in his hand to fall to the ground like this.
Zhou Lihai, being the youngest and not yet having entered the door of Qi Refining, was even worse off, his entire body leaning against Zhou Licheng, limp and weak.
Zhou Licheng and Zhou Liyue were much better off, as they had Cultivation.
Seeing their condition, Lin Muwan didn't blame them for anything. After all, even she herself had been intimidated by that fierce Aura, and her heart couldn't help but feel even more admiration for Zhou Kaiding.
After all, Zhou Kaiding had told Lin Muwan how he had encountered Mo Xuan and reached an agreement.
"Do not spread word of your Uncle Xuan for now."
Lin Muwan instructed the group.
Zhou Licheng naturally knew the importance of the matter and nodded in agreement.
After speaking, Lin Muwan went to the Five Immortals of Flowing Wind and searched their Storage Pouches and other items.
Zhou Licheng and the others, having recovered slightly, also came to help. Their courage was quite good; although their faces were pale, they showed no timidity or fear.
This was intentional on Lin Muwan's part, as she wanted to test their courage. After all, in this world, conflict, killing, and death are unavoidable.
They basically found all the valuable items.
Lin Muwan told the group to stand back, took out several Talismans, which transformed into flames, engulfing the Five Immortals of Flowing Wind in a sea of fire until they were gone.
Back home, Zhou Licheng and the others, due to the impact they had suffered that night, had their minds stirred and found it difficult to calm down for a while.
So, they followed Lin Muwan to the main hall to examine the recent gains.
They opened the Storage Pouches one by one.
Successively, some Talismans, Medicinal Pills, and various other items were taken out and sorted into different places.
There were also several Cultivation Techniques, but they were all ordinary Spell techniques.
However, there was a Green Wood Art, a wood-elemental Cultivation Technique, which the Zhou Family did not possess, so it was quite good.
Then there were several fire-elemental Spells used by the leader of the Five Immortals of Flowing Wind, which even had Jade Slips preserved, greatly enriching the Zhou Family's Cultivation Technique foundation.
"Oh, a Formation Legacy?"
Zhou Liyue exclaimed in surprise, drawing everyone's attention.
She handed the Jade Slip in her hand to Lin Muwan, saying,
"It seems to record a Formation Legacy."
Upon hearing this, Lin Muwan was overjoyed, but quickly restrained herself.
After all, it was only Zhou Liyue's judgment and might not be accurate. The greater the expectation, the greater the disappointment.
Lin Muwan did not dare to be greedy; the current harvest was already quite abundant.
While thinking this, her hand movements were extremely fast, quickly taking the Jade Slip that Zhou Liyue handed over.
Suppressing the throbbing in her heart, she extended her consciousness, and her entire mind sank into the Jade Slip.
