84: The Emergence of Royal Power and the Deadly Pact

Several sharp screams almost pierced the eardrums.

Su Chen's eyes narrowed. He saw the blue fluid bursting from the glass jars, behaving like parasitic worms with their own consciousness, slithering along the ground and tightly coiling around the ankles of Lin Mengyao and two other girls.

This blue substance was highly corrosive; the fabric of their school uniforms carbonized instantly. Translucent tentacles tightly constricted the creamy skin of their calves, yet instead of leaving marks, they seeped into the flesh bit by bit like water into a sponge.

"Don't move! The more you move, the faster they burrow!"

Su Chen shouted sternly, his mind racing.

Sacred Yang True Fire was ineffective; instead, it became fodder.

This indicated that the opponent was not only immune to high temperatures but could even convert high-energy particles like "Yang Energy" into its own nutrients.

In this eerie apocalypse, only one thing could achieve this—a pure aggregate of negative spiritual energy.

Since it was energy, things became simpler.

Su Chen didn't hesitate; the Sacred Yang True Qi surging within him suddenly reversed.

The golden protective light that had been radiating outward instantly retracted into his body, even his pores clamping shut. In an instant, he transformed from a human furnace into a massive gravitational black hole.

"You want to eat? I'll let you eat your fill!"

He took a step forward and reached out to grab the thickest blue tentacle mother body.

Without the repulsion of Yang Energy, those tentacles were like hungry wolves scenting a top-tier delicacy. They immediately abandoned Lin Mengyao and the others, frantically turning around and scrambling to burrow into the pores of Su Chen's arm.

An extreme cold, as if jumping naked into liquid nitrogen, flowed upstream through his meridians.

Su Chen gritted his teeth. It wasn't just physical cold, but an agonizing pain like his soul was being pulled back and forth by countless rusty saws.

These damn things wanted to usurp him and use his body as a nesting ground.

"Everyone! Divine Domain Contract, Section Three, recite!"

Though Su Chen's voice was hoarse from the intense pain, it carried an unquestionable authority.

Inside the carriage, Qin Ya, who had just recovered from her panic, was the first to react.

Her professional quality as a Class Teacher allowed her to quickly overcome her fear. She folded her hands over her chest, closed her eyes, and began to chant.

"My body is the Divine Domain, my soul is the rampart..."

Next was Lin Mengyao, followed by the remaining girls.

Countless spiritual frequencies forcibly resonated at this moment through the "Bloodline Chain" on Su Chen's wrist.

If the blue tentacles were a torrent trying to breach a dam, then the spiritual power gathered from the will of all the women on the bus was a precise and ruthless industrial millstone.

Su Chen was the core of that millstone.

"Shatter... for me!"

He clenched his fist, and a crisp sound like glass shattering erupted from within his body.

The blue tentacles that had burrowed into his body didn't even have time to scream before they were disintegrated into primitive particles under this terrifying spiritual strangulation.

That frigid chill instantly transformed into a cool, pure torrent of energy, pouring back through the contract chains.

The carriage was immediately illuminated by white lights of promotion.

Lin Mengyao and Qin Ya in particular saw their auras steadily rise, breaking directly through the bottleneck of the second rank and stabilizing at the peak of the second rank.

Su Chen let out a long breath and shook his somewhat numb arm.

This "using the body to lure mobs, the whole group eats the meat" tactic had high risks, but the rewards were indeed staggering.

While everyone was immersed in the joy of their power increasing, Su Chen's gaze bypassed the crowd and locked onto an inconspicuous shadow in the corner of the transit station warehouse.

It was too coincidental.

This kind of trap specifically designed for energy constitutions didn't seem like the work of a wild monster.

Moreover, when the tentacles erupted earlier, the flickering of that shadow defied the basic principles of optical refraction.

He didn't make a sound, but quietly retreated to the bus door and tapped a few times on the control panel.

Above the roof, the massive searchlight that looked like a single eye—the "Eye of the Main God"—silently finished charging.

"Like playing hide-and-seek, do you?"

A cruel arc curled at the corner of Su Chen's mouth as he slammed down the red button. "Come out and get some sun!"

Zzzzt—!

A high-density beam of ultraviolet light instantly tore through the dim warehouse, accurately enveloping that abnormal shadow.

"Ahhh—!!!"

A shrill, agonizing scream rang out.

A burnt stench filled the air. The shadow twisted and boiled violently like a living creature before a figure clad in a black skintight rubber suit tumbled out in a pathetic state.

This person was thin, with skin as pale as if it had been soaked in formalin for three years, and he was tightly clutching a triangular beacon flashing with red light.

Invisibility Superpower?

Su Chen sneered. Moving like lightning, before the man could crush the beacon, a powerful hand clamped onto the top of his head like a steel pincer.

"Don't... don't kill me! I'm from the 'Ghost'..."

"I'm not interested in your nonsense. I'll see for myself."

A golden light flashed in Su Chen's eyes, and a wisp of domineering Sacred Yang Fire seed was roughly thrust into the man's brain through his palm.

There was no interrogation, only soul searching.

Countless fragmented images flashed through Su Chen's mind.

It was a national highway thirty kilometers away.

A bus, pitch-black and shaped like a giant coffin, was speeding through the wind and waves.

The vehicle was covered in the skulls of various mutated creatures, dragging a long trail of blood behind it.

Inside, a man with a sinister expression was looking at a light dot on a holographic map—it was Su Chen's location.

This man was a scout.

Deploying this biological weapon called "Spirit-Devouring Insects" was meant to weaken competitors so that the "Ghost" could easily harvest them.

"A good plan. Unfortunately, you've kicked a steel plate."

Su Chen's fingers tightened.

The invisible man didn't even get a chance to beg for mercy before his brain was instantly burned into mush by the high temperature, and his body slumped to the ground.

Su Chen casually kicked the corpse aside like trash, picked up the still-flashing beacon, tossed it in his hand, and then crushed it into powder with his fingers.

Since the opponent had already drawn their sword, it would be impolite for him, Su Chen, not to return a grand gift.

"Get on the bus."

Su Chen turned around, his black trench coat fluttering behind him.

The hatch of the "Eternal Divine Domain" slammed shut, and the engine let out a low roar like a dragon awakening.

Returning to the spacious cockpit, Su Chen sat grandly on the leather throne that symbolized absolute power.

Lin Mengyao knelt obediently by his knee, meticulously wiping the remaining blood and dirt from his arm with a wet wipe, her movements as gentle as if she were handling a rare treasure.

Su Chen did not refuse this service. In this world where order had collapsed, a proper sense of hierarchy was the cornerstone of maintaining rule.

He reached out and turned on the vehicle's loudspeaker, cranking the volume to the maximum.

Amplified by the system, his voice rolled across the wasteland for ten miles like thunder.

"Notice to all nearby survivors and convoys: this is the territory of the 'Eternal Divine Domain'."

"Those who follow me may enter the city for protection. This is my rule."

"As for those who oppose me..." Su Chen paused, his gaze passing through the windshield, seemingly piercing the thirty-kilometer distance to meet the eyes of the "Ghost's" owner from afar. "You'd better first measure if your urn is big enough."

As this "King's Declaration," filled with murderous intent, fell, the thick gray fog that had been shrouding the end of the road seemed to be dispersed by this aura, slowly receding to both sides.

The silhouette of an abandoned city, like a crouching behemoth, revealed a corner of its ferocity against the dim twilight horizon.
