126: Tower Breaker (Part 2)

Inside the Blood Fiend Tower.

Xue Hai lowered his gaze, staring at the cyan lake water below, his knuckles unconsciously rubbing the hilt of his sword.

The crimson patterns at the corners of his eyes flickered, and a nearly inaudible chuckle escaped his throat.

“Killed one Nascent Soul Realm Flood Dragon, gained 874 Attribute Points.”

Just as he slew the Flood Dragon, the panel displayed a notification.

He had originally thought that the guardians in this Blood Fiend Tower were merely illusions of extreme profundity.

But now, it seemed he had been shallow in his understanding.

The guardians of this place, while not necessarily living beings,

were clearly not as simple as mere illusions.

It was even more likely that they involved higher Laws.

However, this was only beneficial to Xue Hai and held no drawbacks.

After all, no one would complain about having too many Attribute Points.

As the Flood Dragon died, the surrounding scenery began to blur. Xue Hai understood that he had cleared the first stage, and the second stage was about to begin.

Indeed, after the surroundings blurred, they became clear again. This time, he was in a dense forest.

The sky was pitch black, the moonlight completely devoured by some power, and even the air was so thick it was suffocating.

A heavy darkness enveloped Xue Hai.

Suddenly, a faint glow appeared.

Xue Hai felt a chill down his spine and instinctively raised his sword to block.

“Bang!”

In an instant, the clang of metal ripped through the silence.

Xue Hai’s tiger’s mouth went numb. Although he had blocked the sneak attack, the bloody mist blooming on his shoulder, mixed with the dampness of the forest, still brought a hint of sweet metallic tang to his nose.

Looking with his Heaven-Observing Divine Eye, he only saw a pitch-black short sword, as if devouring light, flash and disappear.

His Divine Sense spread out, but he detected nothing unusual.

Clearly, the attacker could block Divine Sense detection.

Xue Hai’s five fingers suddenly tightened around the sword hilt, and crimson Evil Qi surged from the demonic sword’s surface.

The decaying leaves in the forest hovered in mid-air from the Sword Qi’s vibration, but instantly vanished silently upon touching that faint glow.

“Shifting between solid and void?” Xue Hai’s pupils constricted into slits.

The sensation transmitted through the sword edge during the block was clearly a special tremor of alternating between solid and phantom.

The air three zhang to his rear-right subtly rippled. Xue Hai abruptly spun and unleashed a crescent Sword arc.

The Sword glow pierced through the Void Realm, but only cleaved through a writhing shadow.

Almost simultaneously, seven pitch-black Sword glares shot out from different directions!

“Clang!”

Xue Hai’s demonic sword suddenly split into nine afterimages, its tip shattering six attacks.

However, the last Sword glare still pierced through his protective Blood Fiend Qi, tearing a one-inch bloodstain on his left arm.

The dark red blood had not yet dripped before it transformed into a blood mist, solidifying into twelve fine needles that shot towards the figure behind a tree in the southeast.

“Chh—”

The figure twisted, dodging the blood needles, barely landing, but the ground suddenly erupted with surging blood.

Xue Hai formed a hand seal with his left hand, and a blood river spread out for a hundred zhang, enveloping the figure.

A figure immediately appeared in the blood river.

The Heaven-Observing Divine Eye finally captured that shadowy figure—a slender humanoid, entirely pitch-black, with only two points of eerie blue flame flickering on its face.

Forced out of hiding, hundreds of faint glows suddenly erupted from its body.

“Underworld Concept!”

A hoarse voice, like a broken bellows gasping for air, rang out.

Outside.

“Underworld Concept… it’s a pity for this talent.” Elder Jing, outside, looked at the projection. Seeing this scene, he shook his head slightly, picked up his teacup, and took a light sip.

“Haha! To encounter a Shadow Clan assassin in the second stage. This child will likely not escape, and I wonder if he’ll even have a chance to crush the jade token.” The Elder of the Teng Family also smiled faintly.

Inside the Blood Fiend Tower.

All the faint glows converged into a scroll of the underworld, strewn with white bones.

A power of Concept was added to this person’s body.

Immediately, his entire being instantly transformed into a phantom, escaping from the blood river in a flash, then vanishing into the Void Realm.

Xue Hai’s gaze was solemn. Even those in the Soul Transformation Stage needed to comprehend a Concept to Break through, yet this person’s Concept was extremely bizarre, allowing him to Incarnation into nothingness and ignore physical control.

The blood river formed from Source Blood could not impede his movements in the slightest.

Yet, in this state, his Divine Sense also couldn’t lock onto him.

This person’s movement technique was extremely fast, appearing and disappearing unpredictably, and with such a bizarre Concept, an ordinary person encountering him would likely only be able to forfeit.

But a mocking curve appeared at the corner of Xue Hai’s mouth.

Soul Perception activated.

In his perception, the entire world instantly turned black and white.

A chilling Soul fluctuation on his left was rapidly ascending towards Xue Hai’s head.

If he couldn’t perceive Souls, that ghostly trace wouldn’t even stir a ripple in the air, making it impossible to track.

The moment Xue Hai locked onto the opponent.

The gray shadow abruptly hung upside down above him, and the short sword in its palm, spewing a spiraling black light, emitted an ear-piercing shriek.

At the same time, a Soul spear shot out from Xue Hai’s glabella.

It accurately pierced the gray shadow’s face.

The attacker’s figure froze, and the biting killing intent receded like a tide.

The uncontrolled short blade grazed past Xue Hai’s ear, and a bottomless, inky black hole instantly bloomed on the ground.

“Bang!”

The corpse heavily crashed to the ground. The second stage was cleared.

Xue Hai’s eyes flickered.

This guardian not only provided Attribute Points but also possessed a Soul.

The Blood Fiend Tower’s structure was so bizarre it exceeded his comprehension.

At his current Realm, he naturally couldn’t fathom its mysteries.

The only thing he could discern was that these guardians didn’t seem like true living beings; they appeared to be Puppets driven by the Blood Fiend Tower, fearless of death.

The surrounding scenery twisted again, and a black mountain ten thousand zhang tall abruptly appeared. Xue Hai’s figure was somehow moved into the air.

Looking around.

The entire mountain peak was studded with broken weapons and shattered swords, clearly a Sword Tomb.

A brilliant sword cry suddenly exploded above his head.

Xue Hai looked up. At the mountain peak, a Sword Cultivator in a green robe sat cross-legged. Tens of thousands of broken swords formed a formation in the air, and a hundred-zhang giant sword slowly condensed.

A mountain-like pressure emanated from the mountaintop.

The third-stage guardian was, astonishingly, a Sword Cultivator at the Mid-stage Spirit Transformation cultivation stage.

Just by looking at such Magnificent (magnificent) Sword Qi, this third-stage guardian was likely several times stronger than the Soul Transformation Stage Early Stage one in the second stage.

The Source Blood appeared before Xue Hai. A surging blood river flowed out from the Source Blood. Xue Hai stepped on the blood river, ascending upwards. The Source Blood, which had released the blood river, also transformed into a demonic sword wreathed in Evil Qi and fell into his hand.

Under the Heaven-Observing Divine Eye’s analysis, each broken weapon was imbued with Geng Jin Sword Qi that could cleave the Void Realm. Before the Sword Qi arrived, its scattered sharpness pricked Xue Hai’s exposed skin, raising goosebumps.

“Excellent!”

Xue Hai tapped the demonic sword with his finger, and the blood river rolled back into a crimson vortex.

The swirling blood river collided with the giant sword in the Void Realm, emitting a metallic clang.

However, the Geng Jin torrent of Myriad Swords Returning to One was unstoppable, and the blood-colored barrier was riddled with holes in the blink of an eye.

“Screech—”

A fragment of a bronze broken sword grazed his cheek, drawing a string of blood beads.

Xue Hai’s pupils suddenly contracted. The dripping blood beads were actually twisted into nothingness by the Sword Qi in mid-air.

Nine Nether Demonic Flames shot up from between his fingers, black tongues of fire wrapped around the sword edge, and the first form of the Heaven Slaughtering Sword Art, “Life Execution,” was fiercely unleashed.

The demonic fire Sword Qi collided with the Geng Jin torrent, and the resulting shockwave leveled ten zhang of mountain rock. The momentum of the giant torrent sword gradually faded, slowly dissipating.

Xue Hai used the momentum to retreat rapidly, and the blood river beneath his feet transformed into nine swimming Dragons that coiled towards the peak of the black mountain.

The green-robed Sword Cultivator had already risen, and the Sword Qi around his body had actually solidified into a white tiger phantom.

“Overturn Law!”

The demonic sword reversed and plunged into the black mountain. The Sword Qi, containing Destruction Sword Intent, was blasted into the black mountain, spreading towards the summit.

Pitch-black Sword light suddenly surged from beneath the Sword Cultivator, and the blood river swimming Dragons, which had just reached the mountain peak, simultaneously attacked the Sword Cultivator, but were shredded by an invisible Sword aura the moment they touched his sword robe.

The white tiger phantom roared to the sky, and millions of Sword Qi suddenly converged into a three-foot green blade.

All the hairs on Xue Hai’s body stood on end, and the Heaven-Observing Divine Eye operated frantically.

That seemingly ordinary sword strike, in his analysis, actually revealed three hundred and sixty Sword Intent trajectories, each one subtly aligning with the movement of the stars in the heavens.
