1: Chapter 1: Transmigrating to Douluo Continent, Timeline: Peerless Tang Sect

"I'm really an unlucky bastard."

Su Chen looked at his phone screen, his mental state on the verge of collapsing.

Another pity-pull R-card.

He was playing a Douluo Continent mobile game. To pull an SSR Spirit Master, he'd spent his first-recharge bonus, but he hadn't seen a single hair of one.

Gripping his phone, he crossed the street irritably, completely failing to notice the signal light had turned red.

A piercing honk echoed through the air.

Su Chen looked up and saw a massive truck crashing toward him like a small mountain.

The next second.

The intense pain didn't come.

The phone screen before his eyes cracked with a "snap," but it didn't go black; instead, it burst with blinding golden light.

【Spirit Awakening】

The coolest animation effect from the game exploded across his entire field of vision at that moment.

The whole world distorted.

The streets, tall buildings, and the truck were all sucked into a vortex, turning into circles of rotating halos.

They were spirit rings.

A strong sense of weightlessness hit him as he fell straight into the darkness.

A buzzing sound rang in his ears, sounding exactly like the system notification sound from the game.

"Ding—"

"Otherworldly soul detected, reincarnation conditions met..."

...

When Su Chen regained consciousness, he was woken up by a foul smell.

The scent of rotting leaves mixed with the stench of wild beasts rushed straight to his head.

He struggled to open his eyes.

Above him were massive trees that blotted out the sun.

Luminescent vines were coiled around the trees, their shapes resembling crouching cats.

Netherworld Civet Vine?

Isn't this a Spirit Beast plant from Douluo Continent?

Su Chen's heart skipped a beat.

He wanted to sit up, but his limbs were soft and limp, as if he had no bones.

He wanted to call for help, but when he opened his mouth, he only let out "Waa... waa..." cries.

Soft and milky.

Su Chen was stunned.

He looked down.

A pair of chubby little hands and short legs that looked like lotus roots.

He had turned into an infant.

An abandoned baby left in the forest.

This start is hell-mode difficulty.

His crying disturbed the nearby bushes.

"Rustle, rustle..."

Several dark shadows darted out from within.

They were rats, but their eyes were red.

Ghost Shadow Bewildering Mouses.

Su Chen's game knowledge told him these were ten-year Spirit Beasts.

Even though they were the lowest rank of Spirit Beasts, to an unarmed infant, they were no different from prehistoric monsters.

A bold Ghost Shadow Bewildering Mouse approached.

In Su Chen's blurry infant vision, the furry silhouette grew larger and smaller.

A claw waved in front of his eyes.

Su Chen trembled with fear, wanting to curl up, but he couldn't even move a muscle.

I just transmigrated and I'm already going to be gnawed on by ten-year Spirit Beasts?

This is too pathetic.

He was probably the most disgraceful transmigrator in history.

Right at this critical moment.

"Eh?"

A crisp female voice came from above, tinged with surprise.

"Grandpa Mu, come quickly and look, there seems to be a child on that tree branch."

The Ghost Shadow Bewildering Mouse froze, its red eyes filled with terror.

With a squeak, it vanished instantly, and the other dark shadows scurried back into the bushes.

Saved.

Su Chen had just breathed a sigh of relief.

A gray shadow, fast as lightning, swept across the treetops.

The next second, he was picked up by a pair of large, calloused hands.

The palms were very warm, and a gentle Soul Power flowed through them, dispelling the chill from his body.

Su Chen struggled to open his eyes wide, wanting to see who it was.

The person was an old man wearing simple gray cloth clothes. His back was bent nearly ninety degrees, and his face was covered in wrinkles, looking like he could drop dead at any moment.

But Su Chen knew that this was one of the power ceilings of Douluo Continent, the Dragon God Douluo, Mu En.

Mu En's gaze fell upon the small cradle where Su Chen had originally been lying.

A wooden plaque hung on the side of the cradle. With a gentle sweep of his fingertip, Soul Power brushed over it, and the plaque glowed slightly, revealing two characters.

Su Chen.

"Grandpa Mu, look at this swaddling cloth."

Before Mu En, who was holding Su Chen, could speak, the owner of the previous female voice landed.

Dressed in black with waist-length hair, she was the Eldest Senior Sister of the Shrek Inner Court, Zhang Lexuan.

Zhang Lexuan examined the cradle, her brow furrowing slightly. "This is Ten-Thousand-Year Ice Silkworm Silk. A family capable of making such swaddling clothes is definitely no ordinary household. How could they abandon a child in a place like this?"

Mu En looked at the infant in his arms, who wasn't crying or fussing but instead stared back with big, curious eyes. A sharp glint flickered in his cloudy eyes.

Mu En sighed, "He was likely caught up in some sect conflict, beyond his control."

Holding Su Chen, his voice was calm. "This child shares a destiny with our Shrek. Let's take him back."

...

Sea Gods Pavilion.

The highest center of power in Shrek Academy.

Inside the pavilion, several Elders were gathered around Mu En's reclining chair.

And the owner of the chair, Mu En, was looking helplessly at the little tyke who was refusing to let go of his spirit tool cane.

Su Chen's tiny hands were death-gripping that dusty cane, refusing to let go, babbling "a-woo a-woo" as if it were his favorite toy.

One Elder laughed heartily, "Old Mu, I see this little fellow is quite fond of you."

Another also laughed, "Not just fond of you; I think he has an affinity for spirit tools. He won't let go of your Dragon God Staff. He's a good sprout. Let's keep him."

And so, Su Chen became the darling of the Sea Gods Pavilion and was personally adopted by Mu En.

...

Time flies.

Six years passed in a flash.

By the shore of Shrek Lake, a six-year-old boy stood facing the setting sun.

The afterglow of the setting sun gilded his small, upright frame. His features were delicate, already showing a hint of heroic spirit.

That's right, it was Su Chen.

He clutched a copy of the "Soul Land Chronicles" borrowed from the library, its pages slightly curled from being flipped through.

Good grief.

It really is the Unrivaled Tang Sect timeline.

This is an era where the main character's group fights like gods. As a transmigrator with no background, the pressure is immense!

At night, Su Chen lay in bed, his hand unconsciously reaching for his chest.

There was a warm mark there that had been with him since he transmigrated.

Tomorrow is the day of the Spirit Awakening.

Su Chen secretly made up his mind.

Please don't let it be Blue Silver Grass.

Even a pig would be better than Blue Silver Grass.

He didn't want to be a support system Spirit Master, shouting "Go teammates!" from the back every day.

If he was going to be one, he would be the fiercest attack system.

The next day.

Shrek Academy, Awakening Square.

This was a place specifically for the descendants of the academy's core members to awaken their Spirits.

On the high platform, Mu En still lay in his exclusive reclining chair, while Zhang Lexuan stood quietly to the side.

Both their gazes converged on the small figure in the center of the square, filled with expectation.

Zhang Lexuan moved, drifting like a falling leaf to Su Chen's side. She crouched down, her voice gentle.

"Little Brother Chen, are you ready? This is the most important step of your life."

Su Chen looked up at the beautiful sister who had always looked after him and nodded heavily.

His eyes lacked the nervousness of a child, instead showing a determination found only in adults.

"Yes, I'm ready."
