7: Chapter 7 Visitors from Another World, Fellow Travelers
"Oh..."
Electrolux paused, seemingly digesting Su Chen's words.
Su Chen knew he had to use strong measures, so he directly played his trump card.
"I am like you, not of this world. We... can be considered fellow countrymen. We are both wanderers at the ends of the earth; why must we have met before to understand each other?"
Within the Spiritual Sea, there was a moment of silence.
"A visitor from another world... Heh, how interesting."
"Very well, since we are both displaced souls, I shall temporarily reside in your Spiritual Sea for a while. Once I have recovered a little, I will speak with you in detail."
As the voice faded, that terrifying spiritual pressure receded like a tide.
Finally, it transformed into a quiet gray orb of light, floating silently in a corner of Su Chen's Spiritual Sea.
Electrolux fell into a deep sleep.
Su Chen let out a long sigh of relief and regained control of his body.
He stood up unsteadily, wiping away cold sweat, feeling as if his body had been hollowed out.
He looked back at Huo Yuhao, who was still unconscious, but the white light on his body was growing stronger.
"Brother, I'm sorry, but I'll hold onto your cheat for a while."
Just then, hurried footsteps came from the forest.
Bei Bei and Tang Ya finally arrived.
The two pushed aside the bushes in the forest and immediately saw the scene.
Su Chen was half-squatting on the ground, his face somewhat pale, while Huo Yuhao lay beside him, motionless.
"Su Chen, what happened to Yuhao?"
Tang Ya rushed forward in a single bound, her tone filled with anxiety.
Bei Bei followed closely behind, his brow furrowed.
Su Chen waved his hand, signaling them to calm down.
He first checked Huo Yuhao's breathing, then examined his physical condition.
After confirming that although the white light on Huo Yuhao was dazzling, his breathing was stable and he had simply fainted, Su Chen finally felt relieved.
"It's okay, don't worry."
Su Chen stood up and explained to the two, "He might just be too tired, overexerted himself, and passed out."
This explanation was reasonable; after all, hunting Spirit Beasts alone in the Star Dou Great Forest was indeed a massive trial for a child.
Tang Ya and Bei Bei finally breathed a sigh of relief.
...
On the other side.
Huo Yuhao's consciousness floated in a pure white space.
Where is this? Am I dead?
He looked around blankly.
Just then, a voice rang out abruptly.
"You're not dead, little guy."
Huo Yuhao looked toward the source of the sound, his eyes instantly widening.
A massive white worm was floating in front of him.
The worm's entire body was like white jade, with mysterious golden patterns circling it, and a pair of small golden eyes were curiously sizing him up.
"You... who are you?" Huo Yuhao subconsciously took a step back.
"Me?"
The big white worm shook its round head and said in a very smug tone, "Kid, remember this: from now on, call me Brother Tianmeng."
"Brother... Tianmeng?" Huo Yuhao was a bit dazed.
"That's right. I am the first Million-year Soul Beast in the history of the Douluo Continent, the Heavenly Dream Iceworm. Now, I have become your Intelligent Soul Ring."
The Heavenly Dream Iceworm's words exploded in Huo Yuhao's mind like a thunderclap.
A Million-year Soul Beast?
An Intelligent Soul Ring?
"Alright, alright, stop staring blankly."
The Heavenly Dream Iceworm urged, "Your little companions outside are waiting, hurry up and wake up."
As soon as the words fell, Huo Yuhao felt a massive pulling force, and the white space before him instantly shattered.
"Ugh..."
Huo Yuhao slowly opened his eyes.
Coming into view were the three concerned faces of Su Chen, Bei Bei, and Tang Ya.
"I... where am I?"
He struggled to sit up, feeling his mind was still a bit muddled.
"You're awake." Su Chen gave him a hand and said with a smile, "We weren't comfortable with you entering the forest alone, so we followed to take a look."
It was that same familiar excuse.
Huo Yuhao felt a warmth in his heart as he remembered what happened before he fainted, as well as that big worm that called itself "Brother Tianmeng."
Could it be that it wasn't a dream?
He subconsciously channeled his Spirit.
In the next second, a wonderful scene occurred.
A spirit ring slowly rose from beneath his feet.
That spirit ring wasn't the white representing ten years, nor the yellow representing a hundred years, but a pure, ultimate milky white that had never been seen before.
It quietly circled around Huo Yuhao's body, emitting a soft glow.
Huo Yuhao was stunned.
He could clearly feel that his Soul Power had undergone a world-shaking change, and four brand-new skill imprints had appeared in his mind.
It wasn't a dream.
All of this was real.
He really possessed his first spirit ring.
A massive wave of joy rushed into his heart.
"I succeeded."
Huo Yuhao's eyes reddened, his voice trembling as he shouted toward the sky, "Mother, I succeeded!"
Seeing Huo Yuhao crying tears of joy, Su Chen just smiled and didn't say anything.
Beside him, Bei Bei's gaze became incredibly sharp.
He had clearly felt a strong spiritual fluctuation the moment Huo Yuhao channeled his Spirit.
"Little brother."
Bei Bei spoke gently, "Is your Spirit a spiritual-type?"
Huo Yuhao wiped his tears and nodded, saying honestly, "Yes, my Spirit is called the Spirit Eyes."
Spirit Eyes Martial Soul, spiritual-type.
Bei Bei nodded thoughtfully, his gaze toward Huo Yuhao becoming increasingly gentle.
He could feel that although this child was exceptionally talented, the sense of loneliness on him couldn't be hidden.
"Little Yuhao," Bei Bei asked gently, "Is there anyone else in your family? We can send you back later."
Hearing the word "home," Huo Yuhao's recently calmed mood darkened again.
He shook his head gently, his voice very low.
"No one else. After my mother passed away, I'm the only one left."
The scene was quiet for a moment.
Hearing this, Tang Ya's big eyes lit up, and she blurted out without thinking, "That's great!"
"..."
As soon as the words fell, the air seemed to freeze.
Huo Yuhao's face darkened at a visible rate.
The corner of Bei Bei's mouth twitched violently.
Even Su Chen, who was on the side, almost couldn't hold it in, thinking that this girl's logic was truly not something an ordinary person could understand.
"Xiao Ya!" Bei Bei quickly pulled her, his tone somewhat helpless.
Tang Ya also instantly realized she had said the wrong thing. Her beautiful face turned bright red, and she hurriedly waved her hands to explain.
"Ah, no, I didn't mean it like that! Yuhao, don't misunderstand!"
She was so anxious she was about to stomp her feet. "What I meant was, since you have no family, then... then do you want to join us?"
Fearing Huo Yuhao would refuse, Tang Ya quickly added, "We are a sect. If you join us, we will be your family from now on!"
