33: Explosion is art

Su Wen took Hu Liena for a tour around Spirit City.

They couldn't find a paper craft shop.

Instead, they bought two wooden combs and some flower seeds.

Su Wen planned to see if he could burn them for the two women tonight.

"Do you have Ten-Thousand-Year Whale Glue?"

Su Wen led Hu Liena into the largest shop in Spirit City.

"Ten-Thousand-Year Whale Glue can easily make a person burst..."

The clerk glanced at Su Wen, and before he could finish, Su Wen tossed over a bag of gold coins.

"Can you get it or not?"

Seeing how generous this little fellow was, the clerk's eyes lit up slightly: "Of course we can. The Sea Spirit Masters over in Vast Sea City hunt countless Sea Soul Beasts every year to obtain spirit rings. Whale glue is the one thing they aren't short of. It's just that we don't usually have a channel for it..."

"Little brother, I'm warning you, Ten-Thousand-Year Whale Glue will make you burst. And it's *that* kind of burst, you know? Are you sure you still want it?"

Su Wen nodded with certainty and finished the negotiations before leaving with Hu Liena.

"Senior Brother, can eating whale glue really make someone burst? What kind of 'burst' is it?"

As soon as they left the shop, Hu Liena couldn't help but ask curiously, recalling the clerk's warning tone.

"Nana, ask me again when you're older. For now, you just need to remember: explosion is art. If it hasn't exploded, keep eating."

Su Wen felt he had finished his business, so he took Hu Liena to buy gifts.

Along the way, he bought a purplish-red bracelet for Bibi Dong. Regardless of whether she wanted it or not, buying it was the right move.

On the way back, Su Wen looked at his empty coin pouch and sighed inwardly, a stark contrast to the excited Hu Liena beside him.

"Senior Brother, Nana will also earn money for you to spend in the future."

Hu Liena, holding the pile of things her Senior Brother had bought for her, suddenly spoke in a low voice.

"Hmm?"

Su Wen glanced at her.

Hu Liena lowered her head, a faint blush appearing on her face.

"Alright!"

Su Wen reached out and rubbed her silky hair.

Hu Liena's face felt hot, and she suppressed the urge to nuzzle against him.

A satisfied, joyful expression appeared on her small face.

After parting with Hu Liena,

Su Wen returned to the courtyard and rubbed his hands together.

He took out the two wooden combs and the bag of flower seeds from his spirit tool.

He also fetched a kettle from the house and placed everything together on the ground.

*Buzz!*

Su Wen summoned his spirit ring, and as it flashed for a moment,

Two figures flew out from within.

Ah Yin and A Rou stood before him.

Looking at Su Wen,

The two spoke almost simultaneously.

"Husband?"

"Master?"

"A Rou, from now on, address me the same way Ah Yin does!"

"Understood, Husband!"

"Is it alright if I just burn these for you?"

Su Wen pointed at the items on the ground. Since he couldn't find a paper craft shop, he could only burn the actual items.

Seeing them nod gently, Su Wen didn't waste any more words and found something to light the fire.

As the flames burned and the items turned to ash, a Ghostly hand suddenly reached out from the ground.

While Su Wen looked on in shock, the Ghostly hand dragged all the ashes underground.

"Husband!"

"Master!"

"We have received them!"

...More than a year later.

In the quiet courtyard.

Bibi Dong was dressed in a purple tight-fitting gown with golden patterns.

Her shapely rear was perfectly outlined.

She held a longsword, swinging it left and right as she sparred with Hu Liena in the courtyard.

Having practiced for a long time, Bibi Dong's sword movements had become exceptionally valiant and precise.

Hu Liena continuously produced Fox Fire from her hands, engaging in an intense battle with Bibi Dong.

During the fight, Bibi Dong would occasionally point out Hu Liena's shortcomings.

Not far away, Su Wen lay leisurely on a chair with a pink-white rabbit nestled in his arms.

He held the immortal herb illustrated manual, carefully savoring its contents.

On the table stood a Blue Silver Emperor, its body swaying continuously. Its leaves had woven themselves into a Plantain fan, waving gently to bring a cool breeze to Su Wen.

Only after reading the immortal herb illustrated manual did Su Wen realize that a person could actually consume multiple Immortal Plants in a lifetime; it wasn't as Little San said, where one could only take one.

However, there would be a build-up of drug resistance. After taking the first herb, one needed to fully digest the medicinal power before taking a second.

The potency of the second Immortal Plant would be weakened, reaching at most sixty to seventy percent of its original effect, and the third would be even further diminished until it had no effect at all.

Of course, mutually beneficial Immortal Plants were an exception; they could be taken together without developing resistance.

"Still studying Immortal Plants?"

"Do you really think you can find any more?"

Bibi Dong walked over, snatched his book, gave it a casual glance, and then placed it on the table.

"Maybe I really will find some!"

Su Wen chuckled as he put the immortal herb illustrated manual into his spirit tool.

Bibi Dong glared at him, too lazy to argue:

"You've reached level twenty. Tomorrow, I will personally take you to the Star Dou Great Forest to obtain a spirit ring. Once you become a Spirit Grandmaster, you'll study at the Spirit Master Academy for a while. In the future, you'll need your own team; you can't always stay alone in this little courtyard."

"Teacher, Senior Brother isn't alone. Senior Brother still has Nana!"

Hu Liena spoke up softly from the side.

Bibi Dong rolled her eyes at her speechlessly, while Hu Liena pouted her little lips.

"The Spirit Master Academy, huh?"

Su Wen felt that going there to learn some things was a good idea.

A greenhouse cannot raise a true powerhouse.

He just wondered if his situation would scare those fellows.

"Teacher, for obtaining the spirit ring, I'll just have Aunt Ye accompany me!"

Su Wen knew it was time to go get the Immortal Plants; waiting any longer might lead to unforeseen changes.

Seeing Bibi Dong frown, he quickly added, "Teacher works so hard, managing the Supreme Pontiff Palace and teaching us every day. As your Apprentice, I can't trouble you just to get a spirit ring, especially since it's only a second spirit ring. I'll wait for my future hundred-thousand-year spirit ring before asking Teacher to personally take action."

Bibi Dong's brow gradually relaxed, and she reached out to pinch Su Wen's face a few times: "Hehe, a hundred-thousand-year spirit ring? You certainly have ambition..."

As Bibi Dong spoke, she didn't forget to glance at the Blue Silver Emperor: "Speaking of which, this Blue Silver Grass you've contracted is indeed quite special. Compared to the Blue Silver Grass outside, it has a few more golden patterns."

Bibi Dong reached out to stroke it, but just as she was about to touch it, the Blue Silver Emperor turned into a blue mist and drifted into Su Wen's body.

"Teacher, she's shy. She generally doesn't let people touch her."

Su Wen explained with a smile.

Bibi Dong didn't mind; it was just a blade of grass.

After Bibi Dong left, Hu Liena immediately hugged Su Wen's arm and sat down, her pink lips parting slightly: "Senior Brother, Nana wants to go to the Spirit Master Academy with you too."

"Then hurry up and Cultivate!" Su Wen patted her head.

"Hey, hey, hey, Fox Spirit!"

Just as Hu Liena was enjoying the head pat, she suddenly heard a familiar voice.

She turned her head angrily and saw Tian Yue standing at the courtyard gate with her hands on her hips.

Her snowy-white neck was tilted high, and her cheeks were slightly puffed out: "Hmph, let's have another match!"
