293: Chapter 294 The Three Immortal Emperors Perish!

Above the Immortal Court, the battle had turned the sky and earth dark.

Emperor Cang was sent flying by a palm strike from Emperor Ming, spitting blood and looking utterly wretched.

Since becoming an Immortal Emperor, when had he ever suffered such a great loss?

But today, after being wounded repeatedly, he was both shocked and enraged, yet helpless.

Emperor Ming's combat power was much higher than he had anticipated.

This Immortal Emperor possessed a mysterious and unpredictable Nether Power, with every move carrying a bone-chilling Aura that eroded the Divine Soul.

Emperor Cang's Dao of Earth Virtue was naturally inclined toward heavy defense, making him feel somewhat constrained when facing such sinister methods.

On the other side, Emperor Haotian and the Hunyuan Demon Emperor were also fighting with sparks flying everywhere.

Emperor Haotian's Divine Power was overwhelming, his Golden Halberd dancing with fierce wind, while the highest grade Acquired Spirit Treasure, the Haotian Imperial Seal, assisted him; every strike carried the power to crumble mountains and shatter the earth.

However, the Hunyuan Demon Emperor was the first Golden-Winged Peng Bird in existence, and his movement speed was unparalleled in the Immortal Realm.

Often, before Emperor Haotian's Golden Halberd could land, the Hunyuan Demon Emperor's figure would vanish, reappearing behind him in the next instant as a Golden Astral Wind howled toward him.

Emperor Haotian was forced to turn and block, his arms numbed by the impact.

He secretly groaned in his heart.

The Hunyuan Demon Emperor's speed was simply too fast; he couldn't keep up with the opponent's rhythm at all.

Things were slightly better on the side of the Five Ancestors of Buddhism.

The Barbarian Ancestor Demon Emperor had lost his mind; though his ferocity was violent, he was, after all, just a brainless Vicious Beast.

The problem was that while the Barbarian Ancestor Demon Emperor pinned down the Five Buddhas, there was no one left to help the others.

Emperor Cang was being suppressed by Emperor Ming, Emperor Haotian was being forced into a steady retreat by the Hunyuan Demon Emperor, and Demon Emperor Geng Kui watched like a tiger eyeing its prey, occasionally delivering a cold strike to Emperor Cang.

This battle was simply impossible to win.

Emperor Cang gritted his teeth and sent a transmission to Emperor Haotian: "Emperor Haotian, if we keep fighting like this, we'll both meet our end here today!"

Emperor Haotian said angrily, "I know that! But what choice do you have?"

Emperor Cang fell silent for a moment, his gaze scanning the battlefield, and said, "Retreat first!"

"Retreat?" Emperor Haotian was stunned. "Retreat to where?"

"Retreat to the west! The Buddhist Sumeru Mustard Seed Great Barrier is still there. With the power of the Five Buddhas reinforcing it, perhaps we can hold them off for a while!"

Emperor Haotian hesitated for a split second before nodding.

"Fine!"

The two reached an agreement and were about to transmit the message to the Five Buddhas when they heard Demon Emperor Geng Kui's cold sneer.

"Want to run? Too late!"

With a wave of his hand, overwhelming Devilish Qi transformed into a black barrier, sealing the entire battlefield tight.

Simultaneously, the Hunyuan Demon Emperor spread his wings, and golden light flared brilliantly as Golden Astral Winds surged from all directions, completely blocking Emperor Cang and Emperor Haotian's path of retreat.

Emperor Ming was not idle either; he waved his hand, and Nether Qi surged out like a tide, laying down layer after layer of Netherfire Walls around the perimeter of the battlefield.

Surrounded on three sides, they couldn't escape even if they had wings.

The Five Buddhas looked at each other, all seeing despair in each other's eyes.

Emperor Cang and Emperor Haotian also turned pale, wondering in their hearts why Senior Lingyangzi had not yet stepped in to help.

Were they truly destined to fall here today?

Just then, a void crack opened silently at the edge of the battlefield.

Two people stepped out from the crack.

One wore imperial robes with a heroic countenance, his Aura as deep as an abyss and as steady as a mountain.

The other wore a moon-white dress with a cold expression; though her breath was somewhat unstable, she still carried an air of arrogance that looked down upon the world.

They were Long Da and Immortal Venerable Chenyue.

Long Da stood in the Void Realm with his hands behind his back, his gaze sweeping across the various Immortal Emperors in the battlefield whose expressions varied, a smile widening on his face.

He turned to glance at Immortal Venerable Chenyue. "Fellow Daoist, look at this scene. Isn't it lively?"

Immortal Venerable Chenyue's lips twitched slightly, but she didn't respond.

Long Da turned back to look at Emperor Cang and the others, speaking leisurely.

"Everyone, you're putting on quite a lively show. I’ve come uninvited; surely you won't mind?"

Emperor Cang's face was ashen, and he did not answer.

Demon Emperor Geng Kui snorted coldly. "Long Da, Master of the Heavenly Court? I've heard of you. Today's matter has nothing to do with you. If you're smart, get lost immediately to avoid bringing trouble upon yourself."

Hearing this, Long Da was not angry but instead laughed.

"Nothing to do with me?" He shook his head, his tone suddenly becoming meaningful. "Fellow Daoist Demon Emperor, you are mistaken."

"In today's Immortal Realm, almost every Immortal Emperor with a name is gathered here."

"If I were to miss today's grand gathering, wouldn't it be a lifelong regret?"

Before he finished speaking, the twelve-grade merit golden lotus above his head suddenly flared with brilliance, and the golden light of Karma cascaded down like a waterfall, enveloping his entire body.

At the same time, the dark golden axe appeared in his palm, Chaos-colored patterns flowing on its surface, emitting a primitive and fierce Aura.

Long Da gripped the handle of the axe, his gaze sweeping across every Immortal Emperor present, finally landing on Emperor Cang.

"Emperor Cang, I have come today for only one thing."

He paused, his smile fading as a cold light flashed in his eyes.

"To send you all on your way."

As soon as these words were spoken, everyone present was shocked.

Demon Emperor Geng Kui was about to speak when he saw Long Da's figure flash and vanish from the spot.

In the next instant, the cold light of the heaven-opening axe illuminated the entire sky.

Long Da spoke of sending everyone on their way and looked at Emperor Cang, yet the direction the axe fell was not toward Emperor Cang.

The axe moved with his will, and the cold light suddenly split.

One axe shadow struck toward Emperor Ming, while another slashed toward Demon Emperor Geng Kui and the Hunyuan Demon Emperor.

The axe strike came without warning or sound, as if it didn't originate from Long Da's hand but had split from the depths of the Void Realm itself.

Emperor Ming's expression changed slightly as he summoned a black banner, which unfurled, its Nether Qi transforming into ten thousand layers of barriers.

Demon Emperor Geng Kui also felt a chill in his heart; he held the Immortal-Slaying Blade before him, infused it with Devilish Qi, and the blade hummed.

The Hunyuan Demon Emperor also flapped his wings, and the Golden Astral Wind turned into a nine-layered sky curtain, blocking his front.

But they couldn't block it.

The heaven-opening axe, a highest grade innate spirit treasure, specialized in slaughter and possessed unparalleled defense-breaking power.

It ignored all body-protecting Divine Abilities, Magic Treasure defenses, and Law barriers.

Where the axe struck, all Laws shattered; where the axe fell, the Void Realm split.

With this strike, Long Da had fully activated the third characteristic of the heaven-opening axe—Creation.

Invoking a trace of the axe intent that created heaven and earth, the power of the strike increased ten thousand-fold.

Of course, he was extremely restrained and did not fully release that axe intent.

Otherwise, with this single strike, let alone Emperor Ming and the Demon Emperor, even the entire Immortal Realm would likely be split in two.

Even so, when those three axe shadows landed on Emperor Ming, the Demon Emperor, and the Demon Emperor, they met no resistance.

The axe shadows entered their bodies.

Emperor Ming's body stiffened, and he looked down at his chest.

There was a thin crack there, running diagonally from his shoulder to his waist.

There was no blood in the crack, only greenish Netherfire slowly extinguishing.

He wanted to say something, his lips moving, but no sound came out.

In the next instant, his body split silently along the crack, turning into a sky full of Nether Qi, which was then ground to dust by the residual power of the heaven-opening axe.

A generation's master of the Nether Realm was thus annihilated.

Demon Emperor Geng Kui's situation was no better.

The moment the axe shadow slashed into his body, his protective Devilish Qi was as useless as if it didn't exist.

His eyes widened, his face full of disbelief.

Trapped in the Chaos Secret Realm for six hundred thousand years, he had finally escaped, regrouped, invited old friends, and was just about to avenge his past humiliation...

How could he die like this?

He was unwilling.

But being unwilling was useless.

The axe intent entered his body, and his devilish physique collapsed; even the Devil Infant, Devil Seed, and Devil Soul he had nurtured for hundreds of thousands of years were crushed into powder.

The Hunyuan Demon Emperor also did not escape.

When the axe intent reached him, the golden body he had cultivated for millions of years was like clay; half of his body was sliced away by the axe intent, and golden blood sprayed like rain.

He let out a shrill cry, attempting to flap his wings and flee, but the axe intent had already invaded his Divine Soul. His body stiffened in mid-air and then exploded with a bang, turning into a sky full of golden light rain that dissipated into the world.

The three great Immortal Emperors—Emperor Ming, Demon Emperor Geng Kui, and the Hunyuan Demon Emperor—fell just like that.
