26: Opening a shop together? Then open a shop together!

At 3 PM, Tang Guoer arrived promptly at the rented house's small courtyard as agreed.

Mo Li moved a small stool for Tang Guoer.

"Sit down, let's talk..."

Tang Guoer pouted slightly, showing some dissatisfaction.

"People say the first time is new, the second time is familiar. This is my second time here, aren't you going to invite me inside to sit?"

"I really can't go in... I have a roommate here, and without her permission, it's not convenient to invite you inside."

Mo Li spread his hands, showing a helpless expression.

When Tang Guoer heard 'roommate,' her ears perked up instantly.

"Roommate? Is it a man or a woman?"

However, Mo Li wasn't going to dwell on this matter. He skipped the topic and said to Tang Guoer:

"That's not the point. Let's talk about business..."

"Hmph... So mysterious. Well then, let's talk about partnering to open a shop. What have you decided?"

"I've seriously considered it. Partnering to open a shop is indeed feasible..."

"That's great!"

Tang Guoer stood up excitedly from the small stool when she heard Mo Li's answer.

Mo Li waved his hand at Tang Guoer.

"Don't get too excited yet. First, tell me how much you plan to invest and what percentage of shares you want."

Tang Guoer patted her ample chest, calming her excitement, then said to Mo Li:

"Two hundred thousand, for thirty percent of the shares, how about that? I've roughly calculated it. Your breakfast cart makes over 2,000 in profit daily, which is 60,000 a month, and over 700,000 a year. If I get thirty percent, I'll break even in a year and start making money in the second year. It's very reasonable."

Mo Li's eyelids twitched.

Tang Guoer's calculation method was simple and crude. From a professional financial perspective, it certainly wasn't that straightforward.

But when it came to specific financial knowledge, Mo Li guessed Tang Guoer didn't understand it much at all.

In reality, Mo Li didn't understand much either.

However, that wasn't important.

What was important was that Tang Guoer's calculation was actually on the conservative side.

She hadn't considered the possibility of other new products appearing once the breakfast shop was up and running.

In fact, as long as the breakfast shop opened, more new products would definitely emerge over time.

Tang Guoer's investment breaking even within a year was almost a certainty.

All in all, Tang Guoer's calculations might have been incorrect in the beginning, and possibly wrong in the middle, but the result was absolutely correct.

From a long-term perspective, accepting Tang Guoer's investment would definitely mean a loss for Mo Li.

But that's not how he saw things.

Mo Li was just starting out, and no matter how good the breakfast cart business was, it would take a long time to earn his first pot of gold.

Tang Guoer's genuine investment of real money was equivalent to helping Mo Li skip the process of initial accumulation, saving him a lot of time.

This was an angel investor!

Angel investors often bear huge risks, and once successful, they should earn generous profits.

Mo Li considered it briefly, then held up two fingers to Tang Guoer.

"Two hundred thousand, I'll give you twenty percent of the shares..."

Tang Guoer frowned.

"I think two hundred thousand for thirty percent of the shares is very reasonable. Twenty percent is too little."

Mo Li took out his phone and showed Tang Guoer his daily turnover.

"Your estimate is correct. My turnover today is 2600.5 yuan, with a gross profit of 2430.5 yuan."

"However, there are two issues you haven't considered."

"First, this turnover and gross profit only include a very limited number of tea eggs and sauce meat bunss. If we open a breakfast shop, the production quantity will increase, and both turnover and gross profit will increase."

"Second, and most importantly, do I only know how to make tea eggs and sauce meat bunss?"

"So, do you still think twenty percent of the shares is too little now?"

Mo Li didn't give Tang Guoer a chance to interrupt, explaining the situation in one breath, then stared at Tang Guoer, waiting for her answer.

Tang Guoer bit her lip.

She didn't know why, but at this moment, she had only one thought in her mind.

A serious man is truly handsome!

Mo Li is truly handsome!

After a while, Tang Guoer finally came back to her senses, looking at Mo Li with somewhat hazy eyes.

"I really didn't consider those two points you mentioned before, especially with your skill in launching other new products... Twenty percent of the shares, I'm indeed making a good profit."

"You can't say that. You're an angel investor now, so you deserve to profit."

Hearing Mo Li's words, Tang Guoer couldn't help but smile, giving Mo Li a charming smile.

"I'll ask a lawyer to draft a contract as soon as possible. It's better to have these things written down in black and white to avoid future disputes that could harm our relationship."

"Happy cooperation!"

"Happy cooperation!"

...Tang Guoer was very efficient, delivering the contract to Mo Li by noon the next day.

After signing the contract, the agreed-upon 200,000 investment was transferred to Mo Li's bank card that same afternoon.

Mo Li looked at the extra 200,000 in his bank account and clicked his tongue.

"If it weren't for this partnership to open a shop, I never would have guessed that Tang Guoer, who is so approachable and even helps me pack up and wash dishes, is actually a rich young woman."

"The more I think about it, the more unreal it feels..."

After a few complaints, Mo Li sat on the small stool next to the breakfast cart and began to sort out his next tasks.

First, find a storefront for the shop.

Second, once the storefront is secured, handle all the necessary procedures and licenses for opening a restaurant.

Third, purchase the tables, chairs, cooking utensils, and other items needed for the shop.

The first and third tasks needed to be initiated by Mo Li, while the second task would primarily be handled by Tang Guoer.

After clarifying the sequence of events, Mo Li prepared to ride his electric tricycle out to look for "for rent" signs.

Tang Guoer suddenly called him with a voice call.

The call connected quickly, and Tang Guoer's voice came through.

"A classmate of mine said there's a storefront on Jinhe Street with a 'prime location for transfer' sign. Do you have time to go check it out now?"

"You mean Jinhe Street, not far from Fallen Street, on the outskirts of the university town?"

"Mm... That's an old street, but the foot traffic isn't worse than Fallen Street. The specific location is No. 30 Jinhe Street. You go check out the situation first, and if it's good, we'll find someone to discuss the details."

"Okay, I'll go check it out now..."

Receiving Tang Guoer's message, Mo Li instantly had a specific target.

He decisively rented a shared bicycle after leaving home and pedaled all the way to No. 30 Jinhe Street.

Mo Li observed No. 30 Jinhe Street from the outside for a while and quickly understood the situation.

This shop sold claypot rice. The storefront wasn't wide, about 4 meters in width, and the depth was about 6 meters, not including the kitchen area. Inside, tables, chairs, and cooking utensils were all readily available.

If he could take over this shop, it would essentially be a one-step solution. A simple change of signboard, a rearrangement of the layout, and the addition of a few items would allow it to open quickly.

Taking over this shop was infinitely better than renting a storefront and starting from scratch with renovations.

Mo Li immediately took out his phone and dialed Tang Guoer's number.

"I just checked it out. This storefront is very good. It just depends on whether we can negotiate a suitable price... How about you come over now, and we'll go talk to the owner together?"

"Okay, wait for me. I'll get there as soon as possible..."
