79: Chapter 79 I told you the intelligence was wrong!

Inside the cockpit of the military aircraft, everyone was staring at the projection screen.

A shirtless teenager and a Tier 4 Source Beast.

Two completely disproportionate figures were charging toward each other on the wasteland, the distance between them closing at a speed visible to the naked eye.

"Immediately use the ship-borne high-energy cannon for cover."

"Lieutenant Colonel Chu Feng, unable to lock on!"

The adjutant broke into a sweat, fingers frantically sliding across the control console.

"The relative speed between them exceeds 300 meters per second. The radar's predicted trajectory has a 73% overlap rate with the target. If we fire, that teenager will definitely die!"

Lieutenant Colonel Chu Feng stared intensely at the screen. It was too late.

At this closing speed, by the time the shell landed after he gave the order, those two dots would have already collided.

He had seen many young people. Hot-blooded, impulsive, fearless ones. But he had never seen one like this—a lunatic who dared to use his own flesh and blood to collide head-on with a Tier 4 Source Beast.

This wasn't bravery. This was pure suicide.

"Prepare to land," Lieutenant Colonel Chu Feng said in a deep voice. "We might as well collect the body early."

Before his words had even faded, the two dots of light on the screen merged into one.

There was no sound. Only a pure white circular shockwave exploded from the point of contact, instantly blowing away the ground, along with all the rubble and dead wood within a hundred-meter radius!

Immediately after, the terrifying roar, delayed by distance, finally arrived. BOOM!!!

The aircraft shook violently, and everyone inside the cabin was knocked off balance by the aftershock.

The adjutant lowered his head, his voice raspy: "Sir... that teenager should already be..."

"Recorder, make a note..." Lieutenant Colonel Chu Feng's voice was dry.

A Tier 4 Source Beast lost control, and a civilian teenager sacrificed his life on the spot to stop it from rushing into the residential area. Regardless, this was a failure of duty by the military.

Three seconds. Five seconds. The dust was slowly blown away by the wasteland wind.

The moment the optical lens recaptured a clear image, dead silence filled the aircraft. Everyone's eyes were practically popping out of their sockets.

On the screen was a scene that completely overturned their perception...

Su Ming's body had transformed into a ten-ton black cannonball, and at the very moment it was about to make contact with the twenty-ton giant beast.

The Mass Engine inside his body roared to life! His muscle fibers were compressed to the limit!

[Mass Heavy Cannon], activate!

Ten tons of base mass, five times kinetic energy correction, fifty tons of terrifying power surged frantically from his lumbar spine and shoulder blades toward his palms!

BANG! Su Ming's palms slammed heavily onto the glowing red horn of the Iron-Spine Rhinoceros!

At the moment of contact, a strange freeze-frame occurred. The inertia of the charge and the fifty-ton force of the Mass Heavy Cannon reached an absolute stalemate at the tiny point of contact.

And then... the air behind the Iron-Spine Rhinoceros suddenly exploded! BOOM!!!

That arrogant Tier 4 giant beast, like a baseball hit by a home run, went flying backward frantically along the ground, smashing through six stone pillars in succession, and finally slammed heavily into a cliff wall hundreds of meters away.

Rubble fell like rain, and the entire mountain trembled.

Su Ming maintained his palms-forward posture, a one-meter-deep crater beneath his feet. On his not-so-broad palms, wisps of white steam were rising due to the ultra-high heat of friction.

And opposite him... there was nothing.

The moment that fifty tons of force poured out from his palms, the bones of his entire arm were humming. The sensation of forcibly blasting a behemoth away burned through his entire body via his nerve endings.

"That feels great!" Su Ming lunged forward again!

—————— High above, inside the aircraft.

"Si... Sir..." The adjutant's voice cracked into a strange pitch. "He... he seems to have blocked it?!"

Lieutenant Colonel Chu Feng didn't speak.

"Blocked it? What kind of person can blast a Tier 4 Source Beast away?"

Lieutenant Colonel Chu Feng stared at the figure on the screen chasing the Tier 4 Source Beast, with only one thought left in his mind.

Could the intelligence be wrong? What happened to "extremely dangerous"? This Iron-Spine Rhinoceros looks big, so why is it such a pushover? It seems to be all show. Does this kind of weak Tier 4 Source Beast deserve to be called "extremely dangerous"?

Lieutenant Colonel Chu Feng stood up, his military boots thudding on the deck. "Land. I'll go finish this myself."

The cabin door opened, and a violent wind rushed in. He leaped out.

From a hundred meters in the air, an ice-blue figure fell rapidly. Moisture in the air condensed frantically around him, forming a huge ice disk beneath his feet that supported him as he descended slowly.

A Tier 5 Platinum powerhouse, Elemental type: Extreme Cold Domain. Lieutenant Colonel Chu Feng.

The man had a cold, stern face and landed slowly. The moment he touched the ground, the surrounding temperature dropped by more than ten degrees, and a thin layer of frost formed on the ground.

Then he saw the battlefield clearly. The ground was riddled with holes. A teenager wearing only a pair of pants was riding on the neck of the Iron-Spine Rhinoceros, his fists pounding again and again onto its hard shell, each punch accompanied by a dull metallic clanging sound.

The Iron-Spine Rhinoceros was shaking its head frantically, trying to throw him off, but the kid's legs were clamped so tightly that it was as if he were grown onto it.

Lieutenant Colonel Chu Feng: "..." How should he describe this scene? It was as if a bratty kid was riding on a cow's back having fun, and the cow had no way to deal with him.

But Lieutenant Colonel Chu Feng knew very well that it was not a cow. It was a Tier 4 Source Beast. On the battlefield, it was an entity that required a full squadron equipped with heavy firepower to take down.

Who exactly is this kid? A genius from which major family in the Imperial Capital? Never mind, solve the matter at hand first.

BOOM! The Iron-Spine Rhinoceros finally succeeded in shaking him off. Su Ming was flung away by the massive force, and when he rolled twice on the ground and stood up, he happened to see that someone new had appeared in the field.

A soldier. Surrounded by swirling cold air. Su Ming raised an eyebrow.

Lieutenant Colonel Chu Feng had already blocked his path, his eyes filled with a hint of scrutiny and condescension. "Stand back, leave this to me."

His voice was as cold as his talent. It carried an unquestionable tone of command.

Su Ming opened his mouth, just about to say, "Brother, who are you? Don't steal my kill." But seeing the shiny Lieutenant Colonel rank insignia on the other person's shoulder, he swallowed his words.

Since the authorities were here, there was nothing left to say. He shrugged and simply retreated to the side, preparing to see what kind of skills this so-called regular army had.

Seeing him so sensible, Lieutenant Colonel Chu Feng nodded with satisfaction. He slowly raised his hand. Tier 5 Source Energy surged. [Extreme Cold Domain], activate!

HUM! With Lieutenant Colonel Chu Feng as the center, ice-blue cold air swept out frantically. The moisture in the air condensed instantly, and the ground, rocks, and dead wood were all covered with a thick layer of white frost.

Within a fifty-meter radius, the temperature plummeted to minus one hundred degrees!

"ROAR!!!" The charging Iron-Spine Rhinoceros's movements became visibly sluggish, and a thick layer of solid ice rapidly formed on its body surface.

One layer. Two layers. Three layers. The cold air was still intensifying! The ice layer was getting thicker and thicker!

In the blink of an eye, a crystal-clear ice sculpture stood lifelike on the wasteland.

"Holy crap..." Su Ming watched from afar, shivering. "Brother, isn't your air conditioning turned up a bit too high?"

Lieutenant Colonel Chu Feng ignored him. Tier 5 versus Tier 4, a crushing victory. Logically speaking, it should have ended here.

But he could feel that the life aura beneath the ice layer had not weakened; on the contrary, it had become even more violent. This beast, its vitality was far beyond imagination!

Just then! Inside the ice sculpture, the dark red brand on that horn suddenly lit up! The light shone to the extreme!

"ROAR!!!" A heaven-shaking roar exploded from inside the ice sculpture! "CRACK... CRACK CRACK..."

On the indestructible ice, spiderweb-like cracks appeared. BOOM!!!

Ice fragments exploded into the sky! The Iron-Spine Rhinoceros rushed out from the broken ice, not only not weakened but instead emitting rolling heat from its entire body.

A layer of dark red patterns appeared on its shell, spreading from the brand on its forehead to its entire body. Its aura was climbing. And it was still climbing!

Lieutenant Colonel Chu Feng's expression changed slightly. He condensed his palms, and a three-meter-long ice-blue war blade formed. "SLASH!"

The war blade swept a beautiful arc through the air, accurately slashing toward the most vulnerable part of the Rhinoceros King's neck. "CLANG!!!"

Sparks flew everywhere. The war blade shattered on the spot! Not even a white mark was left on the Rhinoceros King's neck.

"What?!" Lieutenant Colonel Chu Feng was shocked. He didn't have time to condense a second weapon, and the Rhinoceros King's massive head was already right in front of him.

The next second, Lieutenant Colonel Chu Feng was sent flying backward by a heavy impact. He forced himself to roll twice in the air to dissipate the force, and when he landed, his feet slid across the ground, leaving ice marks several meters long.

Lieutenant Colonel Chu Feng clutched his aching chest and looked up. He stared intensely at the Iron-Spine Rhinoceros, which was unscathed and had an even more ferocious aura, as well as the mysterious brand on its forehead that was emitting an ominous red light.

Three seconds ago, he was condescendingly telling a teenager to stand back. Three seconds later, he was knocked around by a rhinoceros like a broken sack. Lieutenant Colonel Chu Feng's face flushed red, and he almost couldn't catch his breath!

Finally, he spat out a few words in exasperation: "This... is a peak Tier 4 Source Beast!!! Damn it! I knew the intelligence was wrong!"
