77: Transaction Request
Lin Feng leisurely reclined on the soft sofa in the living room.
Then, he opened Tianqi Academy's internal trading platform.
He found that his account backend had already received dozens of unread private messages.
These were all “potential customers” who had seen the Epic-grade equipment he had put up for sale and had come to inquire about prices and details.
Lin Feng clicked open each of those private messages one by one.
“Big shot! Big shot! Have you sold that Blazefiend Plate Armor? I’ll offer five thousand federal credit! Please, please sell it to me!”
“Hello, Student, I am the Vice President of the ‘Alchemy Society’. We are very interested in your priest’s Fiery Necklace and hope to discuss the price with you in person.”
“Handsome! I’m a third-year senior from the Combat Department! Can you sell that assassin’s Molten Leather Boots cheaper to your senior? Your senior can treat you to milk tea!”
Looking at these varied private messages, Lin Feng’s face revealed a helpless smile.
He found that most people seemed to have automatically ignored his special note: “Only trades for materials, not for money.”
They all wanted to buy his equipment with money or other means.
Lin Feng naturally would not agree.
What he lacked least right now was money.
What he needed were rare evolution materials that could make him stronger.
He patiently, one by one, politely declined all the private messages that were purely inquiries.
Finally, at the end of dozens of private messages, he discovered a few “valid messages” that truly interested him.
One of them caught his attention.
The sender’s ID was “Ore Maniac”.
His title was the President of Tianqi Academy’s “Geology Research Society”.
The content of the private message was also very concise.
“Hello, Student, I am very interested in your warrior’s Epic-grade two-handed sword, Blazefiend Blade. I saw your requirement is to exchange for rare materials containing ‘gold’, ‘earth’, and ‘lightning’ attributes. I happen to have a few ‘collectibles’ in my hand that meet your requirements. If you are interested, we can arrange a time to trade in person. Here is my contact information…”
“Oh? A fish has finally taken the bait.”
Lin Feng’s eyes lit up slightly when he saw this private message.
The ores collected by the President of the Geology Research Society, he presumed, must not be ordinary goods.
Without hesitation, he immediately replied to this Ore Maniac using the contact information provided.
“Okay, today at 3 PM, Academy Cafe, second-floor private room. Don’t be late.”
After settling this matter, Lin Feng saw another private message that also greatly interested him.
The sender’s ID was “Xia Meng”.
Seeing this familiar name, Lin Feng’s brow twitched slightly.
He hadn't expected that this “heavenly proud daughter,” whom he had rejected in theNovice Village (Newbie Village), would also send him a message.
With a hint of curiosity, he opened the private message.
“Student Lin Feng, hello, long time no see.”
“I saw the equipment you put up for sale on the trading platform, and I also saw your trading requirements.”
“Regarding the materials you need, I might… be able to help a little.”
“If you have time, I hope we can meet and talk in person.”
“No other meaning, just simply… wanting to apologize for my abruptness back in theNovice Village (Newbie Village).”
Xia Meng’s tone was very polite, even carrying a hint of cautiousness.
Apparently, she had also heard all about the “big news” Lin Feng had caused later in Tianqi City.
She now deeply realized how “blind” she had been back then.
Lin Feng pondered for a moment as he looked at this message.
He didn’t think Xia Meng could offer anything that would impress him.
After all, she was just a newcomer who had only recently entered the main city.
However, the other party’s posture was very humble.
And, they were old classmates, after all.
Meeting wouldn't hurt.
So, he also replied to Xia Meng with a message.
“3 PM, Academy Cafe, second-floor private room.”
He directly arranged for both people to meet at the same time and the same place.
He wanted to see what kind of surprises these two people could bring him… At 3 PM, Academy Cafe.
Lin Feng arrived at the second-floor private room he had booked a few minutes early.
As soon as he sat down, the door to the private room was gently pushed open.
A beautiful girl, wearing a white dress and looking pure and lovely, walked in somewhat reservedly.
It was Xia Meng.
Today, Xia Meng seemed to have carefully dressed up.
She had applied light makeup, making her already delicate features appear even more charming and beautiful.
“Student Lin Feng, you… hello.”
Seeing Lin Feng, she seemed a little nervous and greeted him softly.
“Hello, have a seat.”
Lin Feng pointed to the opposite seat, his tone still as calm as ever.
Just as Xia Meng had sat down and before she had a chance to speak, the door to the private room was rudely pushed open from the outside with a “clang”.
A burly, unkempt, strong man, covered in dirt as if he had just crawled out of some mine, strode in.
It was the Ore Maniac.
As soon as he entered, he heavily dropped the huge pickaxe on his back, which was even larger than himself, onto the floor.
Then, he plopped down onto the sofa next to Lin Feng, making a sound of protest from the furniture.
He picked up the water jug from the table, too lazy to even use a cup, and directly drank several large gulps from the spout.
Then, he wiped his mouth and, with his booming voice, said to Lin Feng in a gruff tone:
“You’re the brother selling the Epic sword, right? I’m the Ore Maniac!”
“No need for pleasantries, I’ll just ask one thing!”
“Are these treasures in my hand enough to trade for your sword?!”
After speaking, he “clattered” a mud-covered burlap sack he carried with him, emptying its contents onto the coffee table.
Instantly, a pile of colorful, oddly shaped ores, shimmering with various strange lights, filled the entire tabletop.
And Lin Feng’s eyes, the moment they landed on a few of those ores, could no longer look away.
