58: Chapter 58: The creation of the *Taoist Scripture* or the *Heavenly Book*.

At the moment of the alternation between Yin and Yang, the transition between day and night, the world seemed to fall into a special state where Yin and Yang were clearly distinguished.

It was also at this moment that, on the body of Yu Xiu, who had stood outside the courtyard all night, that 'garment' formed by moonlight seemed to become exceptionally thick.

Until the bright moon and the great sun hung in the sky simultaneously, one in the extreme west, the other in the extreme east.

One Yin and one Yang, two beams of light shone down upon Yu Xiu at the same time.

The 'garment' of moonlight on his body circulated rapidly, eventually transforming into a jade rabbit that burrowed into Yu Xiu's body.

At the same time, blinding light spilled down from the rising great sun.

It seemed to favor Yu Xiu especially, so the light on Yu Xiu's body became even more scorching than the sun itself.

'Yin and Yang are distinct!'

'Heaven is divided into Yin and Yang!'

'Humans, too, are divided into Yin and Yang!'

'The eyes, likewise, can distinguish between Yin and Yang!'

'All things can be divided into Yin and Yang!'

'Since this is the case, can I use Yin and Yang as the Foundation to forge an internal world within myself?'

'How could the Dao of Immortality be such an inconvenient thing?'

'A single bright moon or a great sun is, after all, only a part of the world. In this world, there are also the Five Elements of Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, and Earth, as well as Wind, Thunder, and the vastness of the Universe, all of which possess spiritual nature.'

'Since I wish to open up the Dao of Immortality and become the Ancestor of the Dao of Immortality, I must create a Cultivation Technique that encompasses Yin and Yang, the Five Elements, Wind, Thunder, and the Universe. No matter when or where one is, one can cultivate and grow.'

'Then, how can one encompass the myriad spirits of the world and the Universe?'

'I see the wind, I have the sword, I understand the distinction between the sun and the moon, yet it is limited to just this!'

'The Nameless is the beginning of heaven and earth!'

'The name that cannot be spoken can be called the Dao!'

'The Dao produces One, One produces Two, Two produces Three, and Three produces the myriad things!'

'This method of the Dao Ancestor shall be the "Dao Scripture", or the "Heavenly Book"!'

A book to explain the Dao, a book to enter the Dao. Or perhaps, a book that encompasses the world, the Universe, and the spiritual nature of all things!

'I must reach out and comprehend more of the Dao, and of spirit!'

'Hmm, to encompass the spiritual nature of all things, my Physical Body must be strong enough!'

'My spirit should be like the scorching sun!'

'Not enough, still not enough!'

'My Comprehension Ability and lifespan need to be even higher!'

Merely two hundred and twenty thousand points of Comprehension Ability and lifespan were not enough to support his ambition of wanting to create the "Dao Scripture" and the "Heavenly Book".

Such an ambition and goal had not been achieved by anyone in this world for countless years; how could it be easy?

Yu Xiu did not know if anyone in this world sought immortality, but those seeking longevity must be countless.

Then why had no one succeeded?

In a world, and one that possessed a cultivation civilization with a Legacy spanning endless years, no one had attained longevity!

Either longevity was too difficult! Or, someone had already attained longevity, but it was unknown to ordinary cultivators!

Regardless of which possibility it was, it showed that longevity was not something every cultivator could seek!

This was very, very difficult! So... 'Not enough, still not enough!'

He needed even higher Comprehension Ability and an even longer lifespan to realize his ambition for the Dao of Immortality.

Firstly, his Foundation was insufficient because he had never come into contact with any Cultivation Techniques for immortality, and he had not even been exposed to higher-level martial arts Cultivation Techniques. His Foundation was too shallow.

Secondly, his ambition was too high; wanting to encompass all the myriad spirits of the world and the Universe was countless times more difficult than ordinary Cultivation Techniques.

In his memories from his past life, cultivation involving Qi Refining, Foundation Establishment, Core Formation, and Nascent Soul only relied on so-called 'Spiritual Qi', which he considered too monotonous. Moreover, it had a fatal flaw.

If there were no such thing as 'Spiritual Qi', could this immortality still be cultivated? I fear not!

If it were just cultivation relying purely on 'Spiritual Qi', Yu Xiu could create it right now. Because the path of martial arts also involved absorbing some precious herbs and spiritual items for cultivation.

He only needed to comprehend the spiritual nature within those precious herbs and spiritual items, and with a twist, he could use this 'spiritual nature' for cultivation.

But Yu Xiu did not want this kind of cultivation. The world and the Universe were boundlessly vast; if one could only cultivate by relying on so-called 'Spiritual Qi', what kind of cultivation was that!

Clearly, between heaven and earth, there were also the sun and moon, Yin and Yang, the Five Elements, Wind and Thunder, and even the Dao of the sword created by man, as well as the various wonders in the boundless Universe; none of these were inferior to so-called 'Spiritual Qi'!

Spiritual Qi might dissipate, but Yin and Yang, the Five Elements, Wind and Thunder, the sword, and so on, would not dissipate. Even if the Universe were destroyed, they would transform into another form of existence, and one could still cultivate.

How could cultivation be an inconvenient thing blocked by Spiritual Qi? When heaven and earth no longer exist and the Universe is annihilated, I can still be long-lived and carefree! This is the true cultivation of immortality!

Even the martial arts of this world actually carried the risk of decline, or even the severance of the Legacy. This was because the martial arts of this world relied too heavily on various precious herbs and spiritual items!

If endless years passed and the future world was no longer suitable for these precious herbs to grow or spiritual items to form, then the martial arts of this world would rapidly decline until, in the end, martial arts would no longer be suitable for cultivation and could not be practiced. This martial arts cultivation civilization would then be severed.

With this thought, Yu Xiu became even more determined. He would encompass all Daos to open up the Dao of Immortality and be a Dao Ancestor for once. Before that, he would stack his Comprehension Ability and stack his lifespan.

Of course, if you say that with over two hundred and twenty thousand points of Comprehension Ability, it is difficult for me to encompass all Daos and create the "Dao Scripture" and the "Heavenly Book", I won't argue with you! Then, what if I continue the martial arts and create more martial arts Cultivation Techniques and martial arts?

There was no need to go to the Scripture Pavilion on Zhanlong Peak; Yu Xiu became self-sufficient and began creating various martial arts to increase his Comprehension Ability and lifespan.

The light of the great sun still shone down on him, as if being used by him. Various flashes of inspiration surged in his mind, as if countless inspirations for martial arts were gushing forth, yet they were all restrained one by one by Yu Xiu.

'I shall continue the "Dragon-Slaying and Evil-Purging Sword" and proceed to create subsequent Cultivation Techniques to verify whether the direction of my comprehension is correct.'

Was he creating blindly, or was he on the right path?

He had not come into contact with the Cultivation Technique Realms following the Five Elements Realm.

But he knew that after the Five Elements Realm of the Great Four Passes came the Five Gods Realm, where one had to give birth to the 'God' of the Five Elements within the Five Elements interconnected in the Five Viscera.

This 'God', in his comprehension, was not a true god, but the condensation of the fundamentals of the heart's fire nature, the liver's wood nature, the kidney's water nature, the lung's metal nature, and the spleen's earth nature, and using this as a Foundation, refining it into a 'God'.

It was actually about stabilizing the Foundation of the Five Elements in the Five Viscera, extending one's lifespan, and increasing one's strength.

And after the Five Gods, there was the Divine Heart Realm.

In Yu Xiu's comprehension, the Divine Heart should be the cultivation of the spirit. The heart governs the spirit, hence the name Divine Heart.

After that came the Dragon Transformation Realm.

'What is meant by Dragon Transformation?'

Yu Xiu had never even come into contact with the Cultivation Techniques for the Five Gods and Divine Heart, the two Realms after the Great Four Passes; he had even less contact with the Dragon Transformation Realm that transcended the Great Four Passes.

Theoretically speaking, he should be clueless about this Realm.

But his Comprehension Ability was as high as two hundred and twenty thousand, approaching two hundred and thirty thousand.

Even if he had not come into contact with it, he could forcibly comprehend some superficial knowledge, and once he had some superficial knowledge, he could rely on his extremely high Comprehension Ability to fill in the blood and build the bones, and subsequently fully create the Cultivation Technique for this Realm.
