8: Chapter 8 Rebellion (Lower Revision)

The food at the Eight Treasures Restaurant suited Yu Xiu's palate the best, mainly because the prices were acceptable to him.

After being led to a seat by the shopkeeper, Yu Xiu ordered a few of his favorite dishes.

Once he had eaten and drank his fill, Yu Xiu faintly sensed a subtle, lingering gaze.

He was being watched.

'They finally came.' Yu Xiu felt relieved, and without drawing any attention, he paid his bill, left the Eight Treasures Restaurant, and turned from the main street into a small alley.

He quickly disappeared into the bustling crowd.

It was also after Yu Xiu entered the alley that four figures, who had been blending into the crowd, gathered together.

They were exactly the four Outer Courtyard Disciples: Yun Mo, Xu Fang, and Wu Zheng, who were also in the same small circle as Fang Jiming originally.

"Why did he go into that alley?" the dark-faced, rather ugly youth Wu Zheng asked cautiously. "Could it be that he noticed us and wants to use this to escape?"

The older-looking, tall youth Qiu Jing smiled meaningfully. "Those who practice martial arts are full of vigor; Yu Xiu hasn't been down the mountain for a long time, so he must be feeling pent up."

Wu Zheng's eyes lit up. "In this alley..."

Qiu Jing rolled his eyes. "They are all aging hags; how did you get so desperate that you aren't picky at all?"

Wu Zheng chuckled. "Old ones settle the fire."

The thin-faced youth Xu Fang frowned. "If you want to settle your fire, you can do whatever you want after we succeed. Catch up to him first and cripple him."

Finally, the effeminate-looking youth Yun Mo reminded them. "Don't be careless; be careful not to capsize in the gutter."

Wu Zheng took the lead. "He just entered the Qi Circulation Realm; what kind of ability could he possibly have that would make us capsize?"

Entering the alley, Wu Zheng's eyes lit up. Sure enough, in the depths of the alley, behind a half-hidden door, leaned a middle-aged woman. Her heavy makeup couldn't hide the fine lines and rough pores on her face, but her clothing was quite revealing, which actually made Wu Zheng feel a bit stirred.

He swallowed his saliva and subconsciously took a step forward to ask, "Miss..."

The middle-aged woman sized Wu Zheng up and smiled. "Little gentleman, do you want to come in and have a chat?"

Wu Zheng asked, "How much silver to go in and chat?"

The middle-aged woman replied, "It's cheap, only five qian of silver."

Wu Zheng bargained, "Five qian is too much, two qian at most."

The middle-aged woman's smile faded. "Little gentleman really knows how to joke."

She thought to herself, 'If you were half as good-looking as that youth who just passed by, I'd take you for free. You're black as charcoal and ugly as sin, yet you have the nerve to haggle!'

She couldn't help but think of the youth who had passed by earlier; he was truly handsome!

If she could have a good time with him, it wouldn't even matter if she had to pay him!

"Five qian of silver isn't worth it, let's go." The older-looking, tall Qiu Jing dragged Wu Zheng away.

As he walked, he grumbled, "You are a seventeen-year-old youth, picking such an old hag—are you that desperate?"

Wu Zheng chuckled. "You don't understand."

Yun Mo and Xu Fang kept their faces dark and remained silent, feeling embarrassed.

From behind, the middle-aged woman's furious scolding could be heard, "You're the old hag! Your whole family is full of old hags!"

"Look, such a fierce old hag, how could you stomach that?" Qiu Jing scolded with a dark face.

He hated it most when others called him old, even though he was only seventeen.

"Don't waste any more time." Xu Fang interrupted their conversation. "Although Yu Xiu's strength is lacking, if he escapes back to the Outer Courtyard, we might not get this chance again."

The four of them quickened their pace and soon reached the end of the alley.

Their eyes lit up. It was a dead end!

They saw a youth standing under the high wall at the end, his back turned to them. Looking at that figure, it was undoubtedly Yu Xiu.

"He has nowhere left to run." The dark-faced Wu Zheng grinned viciously and stepped forward. "Oh, Yu Xiu, Yu Xiu, it seems your luck has run out."

Yu Xiu turned around and swept his gaze over the four of them, Yun Mo and the others. "You finally arrived."

He had been pestered by that middle-aged woman on the way; these guys had actually made him wait for this moment. They were a bit slow.

Qiu Jing sneered. "A mere newcomer to the Qi Circulation Realm, why are you putting on such airs? Today, you are at death's door."

Yun Mo frowned. "It seems you already anticipated that we would make a move on you?"

Xu Fang didn't care and just said indifferently, "Cripple him, and make it clean."

Wu Zheng grinned viciously, took a step forward, and reached out a hand to grab Yu Xiu's shoulder, not even drawing his sword.

"It seems you are the only one with some brains." This sentence from Yu Xiu was directed at Yun Mo.

But Wu Zheng's figure was extremely fast and had already arrived before him.

'Too weak.' The inner Qi in Yu Xiu's Qi Sea surged into his fingertips. Though he moved later, he arrived first, pointing a finger at Wu Zheng's chest.

'Hmm?' Wu Zheng's expression changed abruptly. He felt his vision blur as a sharp, overwhelming aura surged forward like a keen sword, unstoppable. His whole body instantly flew backward, crashed to the ground, and he coughed up a mouthful of blood.

"Something is wrong, attack together!" Yun Mo's heart trembled, and he prepared to call out.

This Yu Xiu had clearly only entered the Qi Circulation Realm for less than a month; how could he have such exaggerated strength? What kind of medicine did he take?

"Wu Zheng!" Qiu Jing looked at Wu Zheng, who had fallen to the ground, coughing up blood incessantly and already unconscious. He was instantly overcome with rage.

"You deserve to die!" Just as he was about to draw his sword and step forward, his vision blurred, and a figure appeared before him.

'Yu Xiu!' 'So fast!'

He didn't have time to make a move before Yu Xiu's finger had already tapped his chest.

The next moment, Qiu Jing felt an extremely sharp Sword Qi enter his body, breaking through his internal organs and inner Qi, finally exploding within him. It knocked him flying backward, and his brain shut down instantly, losing all sensation.

At the same moment, Yun Mo, who was about to draw his sword, felt a wind brush past his eyes. Immediately following that, a figure appeared, and a finger tapped onto his chest!

"You..." Yun Mo was shocked. Although Yu Xiu hadn't drawn his sword, these two fingers combined possessed an unimaginable sharpness that seeped straight into his bones, chilling him to the core upon contact.

This was definitely not the strength that the Qi Circulation Realm should have!

"He is in the Qi Sea Realm!" Yun Mo screamed.

"Only realizing it now? It's a bit late." Yu Xiu tapped Yun Mo, sending him flying backward while vomiting blood; the latter had no chance to fight back at all.

"Qi Sea Realm?!" He had only entered the Qi Circulation Realm less than a month ago; how did he become a Qi Sea Realm cultivator?

Had he been hiding his strength all along?

But just as Yu Xiu said, realizing it now was indeed too late.

Xu Fang's eyes were bloodshot. "You were deliberately baiting us into your trap..."

It was laughable that they, four second-stage Qi Circulation cultivators, had been so bold as to ambush a third-stage Qi Sea cultivator!

Wasn't this just seeking their own death!

"Bang!" Before he could make any move, Yu Xiu had already appeared and tapped Xu Fang, sending him flying and leaving him motionless.

In less than two breaths, Xu Fang, Yun Mo, and the other four Outer Courtyard Disciples of the Qi Circulation Realm were all lying on the ground, unable to get up.

If they had held swords in their hands, this time might have been even shorter by one breath!

'Between the second stage and the third stage, there truly exists an insurmountable chasm!'

Yu Xiu felt deeply moved.

Although he had only just entered the Qi Sea Realm and had not even practiced any Qi Sea Realm Cultivation Techniques or sword techniques, facing the four of them was still like sweeping away dry leaves, without exerting any effort.

'Using one's Realm to suppress others is actually not bad!'

Counter-attacking the lower Realm—wasn't this just a sure win!
