53: Carefree demolition team

After confirming Li Xiao's deployment, Liu Nian said to everyone, 'In ten minutes, I will distribute several coordinates to each Team Leader. Once you receive the coordinates, you must reach the location at top speed and flatten the bases there! Pay attention, this is your chance to make a fortune. Bring enough C4 explosives. If you don't have any, empty out your coffin money and buy them all!'

'Yes!'

'Yes!'

'Understood!'

'Watch us!'

'No problem! I'm familiar with this stuff; it's top-notch, my old buddy!'

Everyone in the squad channel cheered in unison; it wasn't easy to encounter something as tense, exciting, and profitable as raiding an enemy base.

At the order, the three-thousand-man force quickly boarded various vehicles and scattered in all directions.

Outside the suburban chemical plant, in a command post temporarily constructed by Hellfire using wood and tarps, Team Leader and battlefield Commander Feng Zhengnan watched as the battlefield situation became increasingly wrong.

He said to the vice-Team Leader beside him, 'Night God's offensive isn't right. Those guys have been shouting about attacking for half a day, and their firepower is fierce, but only a scattered two or three companies of troops have appeared. There's absolutely no sign of an all-out breakout attempt?'

The vice-Team Leader also seemed to sense that something was wrong, but couldn't figure it out for the moment: 'Could it be to consume our ammunition? But they are the ones who are surrounded and cut off from supplies, right?'

Feng Zhengnan pondered left and right, then suddenly realized his eyelid was twitching violently. He asked oddly, 'Which eye twitching means wealth is coming?'

'Hmm?' The vice-Team Leader said without thinking, 'Left eye for wealth, right eye for disaster, right?'

'Right eye for disaster?'

As soon as he finished speaking, the voice of the front-line Commander suddenly came through the headset, shouting urgently: 'Team Leader! Look at the squad channel quickly! Something big has happened!'

'What's the situation?'

Feng Zhengnan and the vice-Team Leader, who had received the message at the same time, opened the squad channel, only to see several coordinates refreshing crazily on the channel, with team members screaming hysterically.

It took a few dozen seconds for Feng Zhengnan to realize that the bases of dozens of his squad members were being raided by a large force at the same time.

'This! How is this possible! Who could know the coordinates of so many members? And launch an attack simultaneously! These coordinates are over thirty kilometers apart!'

Feng Zhengnan couldn't believe his ears, and the vice-Team Leader anxiously roared into the squad channel: 'Who exactly attacked your bases? Is it Night God?'

'It's the Xiaoyao Squad!'

'The Xiaoyao Squad!'

'Xia... yao Squa...'

In just a minute or two, the Hellfire troops attacking at the front suddenly collapsed, retreating one after another, scrambling to drive their vehicles away at top speed.

Some troops even disappeared in entire groups while running. Feng Zhengnan and the vice-Team Leader beside him had both seen this situation before; it was the scene where soldiers were directly erased by the system after their bases were destroyed.

'Team Leader! This Xiaoyao Squad must have obtained a large amount of information on our bases. It's possible that the Night God Squad tonight was just coordinating with the Xiaoyao Squad to pin us down!'

'Bu... but our members' bases are supposed to be very far apart. How could they have scouted them in such detail?'

'Ah, Team Leader, stop with the 'buts'! While the enemy hasn't reached us yet, hurry back to reinforce the bases, otherwise everything will be lost for nothing!'

After saying this, the vice-Team Leader couldn't care about anything else, rushing out of the tent and jumping onto an all-terrain vehicle.

Feng Zhengnan never imagined that his sure-win layout would turn sour overnight, and he dragged his fat body onto an off-road vehicle as well.

Opposite them, Wu Chong and the woman in the cheongsam watched the suddenly collapsing Hellfire troops with disbelief in their eyes.

'What kind of methods did this Xiaoyao Squad use to make these people run faster than dogs?'

'Clearly, there's no other reason besides their home base being on fire.'

'Home base on fire? You mean Li Xiao sent troops to raid their home? But how did he know the bases of these one or two hundred players? Is he a god?'

Although Wu Chong's expression looked calm now, only he knew that he was truly terrified at this moment.

Fortunately, he chose to cooperate with the Xiaoyao Squad three days ago; otherwise, it would be him desperately running home right now.

'This is exactly what makes the Xiaoyao Squad terrifying. It seems like I've never heard of them before, yet they just popped up out of nowhere. And being able to attack multiple player bases simultaneously, the number of troops the Xiaoyao Squad has is definitely not weak.'

The woman in the cheongsam said seriously, 'Actually, I checked on this Xiaoyao Squad over the past two days, but I only knew that the Xiaoyao Squad currently has strong strength in the west, with about eighty to one hundred members. I didn't expect them to have the energy to get involved in the north as well.'

Wu Chong turned away from the office building window and said slowly, 'Regardless, what we need to do now is immediately evacuate the chemical plant to dispel any suspicions from the Xiaoyao Squad, and quickly return to defend our home base; otherwise, we probably won't dare to move freely from now on.'

...

[You destroyed Feng Zhengnan's warehouse and obtained resources: Steel 28700, Fuel 32000, Rare Ore 3905!]

[You destroyed Feng Zhengnan's Level 6 exclusive base and obtained resource rewards: Steel * 22570, Fuel 21990, Rare Ore 4100!]

As the Level 6 base command center collapsed into a cloud of dust and smoke, the entire base vanished without a trace.

Zhao Feipeng clapped his hands and said to Ye Ming, 'Let's go, there is one more target.'

Liu Nian was quite reliable, directly leaving the fattest bases of the Hellfire Team Leader and vice-Team Leader for him. It looked like this guy named Feng Zhengnan was preparing to upgrade to a Level 7 base.

It was a pity he was just a thousand or so points of steel short, making this batch of resources his for the taking. It was just a shame he didn't know how many Star Coins this guy had on him; now that the base was dismantled, the person had also ascended on the spot.

Once the two batches of resources arrived, the resources for Li Xiao to upgrade to a Level 8 base were finally gathered, though he was still short by exactly six thousand Star Coins.

Fortunately, the Hellfire vice-Team Leader's base also had quite a few resources. Once he sold the resources he obtained at the trading center, the Star Coins were in hand.

In one full hour, over one hundred and twenty of Hellfire's more than one hundred and sixty bases were dismantled. Because all players prioritized saving their own bases, the troops Hellfire had assembled were all scattered into small groups of twenty or thirty.

Faced with demolition teams of over a hundred people, such forces couldn't stop them at all. The vast majority of players died on the way back because their bases exploded. A few players who were closer did manage to arrive, but unfortunately, it was just like a mantis trying to stop a chariot.

Most of these players had already deployed their main forces, leaving only auxiliary support units at the base, and even then, there were some Engineers still collecting resources in the resource area.

Therefore, the Xiaoyao Squad players successfully completed the demolition mission with almost no casualties, and everyone obtained at least the resources to upgrade from Level 5 to Level 6.
