54: Trout Whisper

Northern Oak Tree Territory,

Claus Family.

Inside the study, the fire in the fireplace burned brightly,

yet an unsettling chill permeated the air.

"Useless!"

A young nobleman with a sinister expression,

was sternly reprimanding Morgana, who was kneeling on the ground.

"You operated in Xilin Town for so long, why didn't you detect the anomaly of the Charles Family in advance?!"

Morgana humbly prostrated herself on the cold floor, her forehead pressed against the ground.

She wore a tight black leather skirt that accentuated her fiery and alluring curves.

"Young Master Kapa, this subordinate is incompetent and handled things poorly."

Her voice trembled slightly, sounding pitiful.

"I will definitely work harder to make up for my mistakes."

Kapa Claus snorted, a hint of cruelty flashing in his eyes.

He raised his hand, and a fish-shaped pattern on his palm slowly wriggled,

an invisible Bloodline Power rippled out.

Morgana's body trembled violently.

She felt a cold, slippery fish swiftly swimming beneath her skin, within her flesh,

moving upwards from her flat abdomen,

emerging from the cleavage of her neckline, swimming over her snow-white, slender neck, and stopping on her right cheek.

A slightly raised, complete fish-shaped outline,

slowly appeared on her smooth, delicate cheek,

the fish-shaped outline gently wriggled, as if it could break through the skin at any moment.

Immediately after, a series of fine, chilling whispers,

sounded directly in Morgana's ear, continuously drilling into her mind.

"Mm..."

Morgana let out a suppressed cry of pain, her body trembling violently.

This was the Trout Whisper Bloodline inherited by the Claus Family,

an extremely sinister parasitic Bloodline ability.

Once a Bloodline contract was planted, one would be forever controlled by It.

Every action of the contractor, even thoughts unfavorable to the master, would be perceived by the Bloodline Power.

Life and death were at the master's whim.

"Do you know your mistake?"

Kapa slowly savored her pain, his voice tinged with a hint of mockery.

"This subordinate knows her mistake! Please, Young Master, spare me!"

Morgana prostrated herself on the ground, kowtowing repeatedly for mercy,

her posture utterly fawning, like a female dog wagging her tail for scraps.

"Remember your identity, your Soul belongs to the Claus Family forever and ever."

"I can let you live, and I can let you die."

"Next month, no matter what method you use."

"The revenue you bring me must increase by another thirty percent."

Kapa's voice turned cold.

"If you can't do it, you know the consequences."

"Yes, Young Master, I will definitely do it!"

Morgana promised, her body trembling.

The cruelty on Kapa Claus's face eased slightly, and he withdrew his hand.

The whispers in Morgana's ear gradually dissipated,

and the raised fish-shaped outline on her cheek also receded back into her flesh, disappearing.

Morgana collapsed to the ground, gasping for breath,

cold sweat soaked her clothes, clinging tightly to her skin, further accentuating her graceful curves.

"Silas."

Kapa gestured,

a Clairvoyance standing by the door quickly walked in.

On his neck, there was also a slightly raised swimming fish outline, sliding up and down with his swallowing movements.

"A mongrel who rose through military merits, able to devour the Ironwood Family, there must be something strange behind It."

Kapa Claus sat behind the desk, his tone gloomy.

He took out a document sealed with special wax from the drawer and casually threw It on the ground.

Silas immediately knelt on both knees,

picked up the document, and held It high above his head.

"This is something obtained from the Shadow Council, enough to prove that the Charles Family blasphemed the gods and insulted the Holy See."

"You quietly place this thing in Charles Manor."

"I will personally contact the Holy See's people and give them a reason to purify that place."

Kapa Claus revealed a sinister smile on his face.

"This method is definitely useless against ancient Families with long Legacies."

"But it's perfect for dealing with a mongrel with no connections."

"Let me see what he uses to resist the Holy See's Punishment Knight."

......

Morgana slowly exited the study,

gently closing the heavy door.

The moment the door closed, the humility and fear on her face quickly receded, replaced by a cold indifference.

Just now, she had heard Kapa and Silas's conversation word for word, clearly.

"Charles Family..."

In Morgana's mind,

the young figure who had traded with her several times in the Mist involuntarily appeared.

"Could it be him?"

Morgana's heart stirred,

and she quietly took out the Mist Emblem.

Her fingertips moved slightly, and a faint message was transmitted.

A moment later, the Mist Emblem showed a barely perceptible response, indicating that the message had been successfully transmitted.

"The entire Xilin Town has already fallen into the hands of the Charles Family."

"His Mist Emblem has not changed hands and can still be used normally."

"It seems that he is most likely a member of the Charles Family."

Morgana's eyes flickered.

She did not report this intelligence to Kapa Claus,

instead, after a slight hesitation,

she tapped the Mist Emblem again with her fingertip,

transmitting a subtle message.

"Help me keep an eye out for things related to the Holy See."

She hoped the other party could understand the hint,

and notice the items related to the Radiant Light Holy Court that had appeared in the Manor...

As soon as the message was sent,

Morgana's right cheek began to subtly wriggle again,

beneath her flesh, a fish-shaped outline once again showed signs of appearing.

Her heart tightened,

and she immediately suppressed all thoughts unfavorable to the Claus Family,

the unwillingness and resentment in her eyes quickly vanished without a trace.

Her facial expression also reverted to that humble, submissive, and pitiful look.

Then, she turned and left,

her graceful silhouette soon disappearing at the end of the corridor.

...

Late at night, Charles Manor.

A blurry black shadow, like a wisp of faint smoke,

silently climbed over the high wall of Charles Manor.

His figure perfectly blended into the shadows of the night,

like a dark shadow, moving quickly within the Manor.

Soon, Silas infiltrated the castle.

His objective was clear: to place the forged evidence in the castle's study or master bedroom.

The castle was completely dark,

most of the lights were out,

only a few dim oil lamps remained in the corridor.

Silas moved silently along the corridor,

soon, he passed a painting hanging on the wall.

In the painting, a person whose face could not be seen,

was painfully covering his face with both hands, his mouth wide open, as if letting out a silent scream.

The entire painting was distorted and painful, with intense and oppressive colors,

making one feel a shiver down their spine and a chill in their heart.

"What kind of taste does this Charles have, he's truly perverted..."

Silas couldn't help but feel speechless.

"These damned nobles, none of them are normal!"

An uncontrollable surge of resentment welled up in his heart,

and the dormant swimming fish on his neck subtly began to wriggle.

Silas was startled,

and immediately forced himself to stop his dangerous rambling thoughts,

continuing to cautiously grope forward.

Not long after,

he passed another deep corridor,

at the end of the corridor, there was an antique vase taller than a person, with some blurry patterns drawn on its body.
