69: Section 69

She was wearing a loose, casual silver top.

But it still couldn't hide those two prominent curves.

Her long, fair legs were crossed as she stood there.

Her shoulder was leaning slightly against the doorframe...

"Sister Qinru, did I wake you up?" Lin Yi smiled, feeling a bit awkward.

Tang Qinru shook her head: "No, besides, I should be waking up around this time anyway!"

"Is this all your belongings?"

She looked at the items in Lin Yi's suitcase and asked, her brows slightly furrowed.

Lin Yi nodded: "It's all I have!"

"Is it really worth making a trip back just for this little bit of stuff?"

"Those clothes are all worn out, and this one is even frayed!"

"Forget it. When you finish school tonight, I'll pick you up at your school and take you to the mall to buy some clothes!"

Tang Qinru said with a smile.

"Sister Qinru, there's no need to buy any. I usually just wear my school uniform..."

"Your sister is treating you, what are you afraid of? You don't have to spend a dime. It's settled, I'll pick you up tonight!"

Lin Yi: "..."

"Oh right, you haven't had breakfast yet, right? There's still enough time. I'll make something, and you can head to school after you eat!"

Without waiting for Lin Yi to say anything, Tang Qinru walked toward the kitchen.

He did indeed need to go to school today.

First, he needed to take care of the registration for the Martial Arts Exam.

This was his biggest worry at the moment; once he registered...

The remaining time would be spent fully focusing on improving his Realm and cultivation.

He would strive to achieve a good result in the Martial Arts Exam in over two months.

He hoped to be successfully admitted to the Martial Arts University and enter the New District from then on.

Lin Yi took everything out of his suitcase.

He hung the few old clothes in the closet.

Although they were very old, Lin Yi couldn't bring himself to throw them away.

After all, these old clothes had been with him for quite a few years.

Once he had finished tidying up his things, Tang Qinru walked over.

"Come over and eat first!"

"Okay!"

Lin Yi nodded and walked out of the room.

On the dining table were a few slices of bread, along with fried eggs and milk.

Tang Qinru had already changed out of her pajamas and was wearing a light green long dress.

The hair that had been tied back was now let down.

Even though she had no makeup on her face.

However, Tang Qinru, even without makeup, was still a sight to behold.

In Lin Yi's opinion, she actually looked even better without makeup or with just light makeup.

"I wasn't prepared this morning; it was a bit rushed. Just make do with this for now, and tomorrow I'll make you a hearty breakfast!"

Tang Qinru said to Lin Yi with a smile.

She wanted to make it again tomorrow?

Lin Yi quickly said: "Sister Qinru, you don't need to go through all this trouble. Actually, I can also..."

"You are Wei Nan's friend, and now you are my tenant!"

"As long as you live here, I have a responsibility to take good care of you!"

"Alright, eat first, and let's see how my cooking is!"

"Cooking?"

Lin Yi looked at the fried egg in front of him; the edges were a bit burnt.

However, overall it was pretty good; at least it was fully cooked.

Lin Yi picked it up and took a bite; his brows furrowed instinctively.

That single bite felt like he had just swallowed a mouthful of salt.

It almost made him spit it out immediately.

However, when he saw the expectant look on Tang Qinru's face.

Lin Yi swallowed it anyway.

"How is it? Does it taste okay?" Tang Qinru asked expectantly.

Lin Yi nodded: "It's alright, just... a bit salty. It would be better if you put less salt next time!"

"Is it salty?"

Tang Qinru frowned slightly and picked up her own fried egg to taste it.

"It's not salty. I feel like it's a bit bland; maybe I put too little salt?"

Hearing her say this.

Lin Yi realized: "Sister Qinru, you probably put all the salt on my plate, didn't you?"

"Ah? Pfft..."

Tang Qinru understood immediately.

She couldn't help but laugh and said: "Why did you eat it? Wasn't it salty?"

"If it doesn't taste good, you can just say it directly. I'm not like those young girls out there who can't handle any criticism!"

"If there are any problems, you must point them out. I've been learning to cook recently!"

"It just so happens you can help me taste-test!"

Lin Yi: "..."

After breakfast, Lin Yi grabbed his schoolbag and went to school.

It was very close to the school from here; even walking, it would only take about ten minutes.

There was no need to take a twenty-minute bus ride anymore.

And certainly no need to squeeze together with those old men and women every day.

Lin Yi walked out of the residential complex and put on his schoolbag.

He decided that starting today, he would jog to school.

He could exercise his body and strengthen his physique at the same time.

...

"Teacher, I want to sign up for the Martial Arts Exam!"

When Lin Yi arrived at school and dropped his schoolbag off in the classroom.

He went straight to the Martial Arts Exam registration office.

The teacher in charge of registration looked up at Lin Yi.

"Did you bring the registration fee?"

"I brought it!"

Lin Yi nodded and took an envelope out of his pocket.

Judging by the thickness, it was enough for thirty thousand yuan.

The teacher nodded and handed Lin Yi a Martial Arts Exam registration form.

"Fill out this form first, and then bring it back to me along with the registration fee!"

"Thank you!"

Lin Yi nodded politely.

He didn't intend to go back to the classroom to fill out the form.

Instead, he sat down at an empty table right there at the registration office.

The parts that needed to be filled out on this Martial Arts Exam registration form were just some basic personal information.

There was nothing special about it.

However, further down, he needed to fill in the name of the Martial Arts University he wanted to apply to.

As well as the family members who would be accompanying him to the university.

And right there in the family members section, there were five blank spaces.

This meant that once admitted to the Martial Arts University, Lin Yi could bring five family members in addition to himself.

To live together in the New District.

This was a benefit provided by the Martial Arts University.
