230: The fairy palace I have visited before
They were Cultivators of the younger generation.
Let alone the word "Immortal," they were still far from even reaching the Dao.
Yet, an Immortal Palace that might contain Immortal opportunities had appeared before them; how could they not be excited?
Even some Cultivators from the outside world were flushed, their breathing ragged.
An Immortal!
This single word had trapped countless Cultivators for a lifetime; especially those supreme experts, wasn't their entire life spent in pursuit of that elusive Immortal?
Who would have thought that not only had Heavenly Soldiers and Generals appeared in this generation of the Lingxu Battlefield.
But an Immortal Palace had appeared as well!
Could it be that someone in this generation could achieve Immortal Ascension?
This was a thought lingering in the minds of all supreme experts.
If someone could truly achieve Immortal Ascension, then in this generation, they would have to enter the world and fight for it!
In the Lingxu Battlefield.
Lin Ye's brows were tightly furrowed. He was pondering; the Immortal Palace before him looked far too familiar.
This gave him a bad premonition.
That's it!!!
Isn't this exactly the Immortal Palace he and Xiang Tiange encountered in the forbidden zone? Inside that Immortal Palace, there was a person like a Heavenly Emperor, nailed to his own throne by an iron rod.
The appearance of this Immortal Palace was simply too similar to that one.
Even the wisps of Immortal Qi appearing here were exactly the same.
Seeing Lin Ye's strange expression, Chu Hao hurriedly asked, "Brother Lin, what's wrong?"
"..."
Lin Ye shook his head and did not speak.
If this really was that Immortal Palace, it must be an image of its past existence. After all, that Immortal Palace was now dilapidated, containing nothing but endless mountains of corpses, seas of blood, and eerie phenomena.
"There must be Immortal opportunities inside!!!"
The many Cultivators couldn't care less. The mystery of the word "Immortal" was right before them; how could they not go and investigate?
A large number of Cultivators rushed directly into the Immortal Palace.
Lin Ye and the Righteous Qi Sect Disciples were at the very back. He looked around and discovered the surroundings were just vast seas of clouds; finding a way out was simply impossible.
Since they were here, they had to make the best of it.
Now, they could only enter this Immortal Palace to find out what was going on. Thinking of this, Lin Ye walked slowly towards the Immortal Palace, followed closely by his group of little admirers.
Boom!
After everyone entered the Immortal Palace, the ancient doors closed directly.
The seven True Dragons above the Void Realm also stopped, their eyes filled with wisps of coldness.
Just after entering the main hall, Lin Ye saw a familiar sight. Everything around was no different from the previous Immortal Palace; there was no one on the throne.
But in front of them was a giant creature, resembling an ancient god.
That creature was tall, like a mountain peak standing between heaven and earth.
Its body was incredibly thick, its muscles bulging as if containing endless power; its skin was bronze-colored, emitting a metallic luster.
Its face was ferocious, its eyes as large as copper bells, flashing with a fierce light. Its nose was broad, and with every breath, there seemed to be the sound of wind and thunder. Its mouth was slightly open, revealing sharp teeth that seemed capable of crushing anything.
Two huge horns grew on the creature's head, flashing with mysterious light. Its hair burned like flames, drifting with the wind, adding to its majesty.
In its hand, it held a giant axe. The edge of the axe was incredibly sharp, flashing with a cold light. Its arms were thick and powerful; it seemed that with a single swing of the axe, it could split heaven and earth.
"Is this an Immortal?!"
Everyone looked up at the giant creature that resembled a god and exclaimed.
The "Immortal Qi" on the opponent was far too dense, and coupled with that terrifying appearance, if it wasn't an Immortal, what could it be?!
"You group of sinners, why do you not bow down!!!"
As soon as the creature spoke, its voice exploded like thunder, shaking everyone until they were dizzy and their ears rang, their Divine Souls trembling.
A portion of the Cultivators, because of this war-drum-like sound, subconsciously knelt on the ground.
Another portion remained standing where they were.
Among them were Lin Ye and the Righteous Qi Sect Disciples he led.
Of course, Chu Hao, who bore the mandate of heaven, naturally would not kneel either.
"Hmm?!"
Boom!!!
Seeing that a large portion of people had not knelt, the giant axe in the creature's hand slammed directly onto the ground, causing the Immortal Palace to shake. The shockwave from the giant axe hitting the ground even knocked over the dozen or so Cultivators at the very front.
"This is an Immortal! Hurry up and kneel! The Immortal opportunities are right before us!!!"
Seeing the giant creature get angry, not knowing if it was truly for the sake of the Immortal opportunities, or to save their own face, those Cultivators who had knelt on the ground angrily shouted at the others.
They wanted everyone to kneel with them.
In the crowd, some people with unstable Heart-Nature heard what everyone said and immediately followed suit, kneeling down.
Only a small portion of people remained standing.
Lin Ye stood even straighter, his clothes fluttering. Although he was like an ant compared to the giant creature, this Aura of his had an intention to soar into the heavens.
The creature sensed Lin Ye's Aura, and its huge eyes stared directly at him.
Endless pressure swept over. Facing that pressure, Lin Ye did not yield. The Human Emperor Seal, Human Emperor Sword, and Human Emperor Banner—the three-piece set—erupted with endless brilliance within his body, resisting the creature's pressure.
"Oh?"
Clearly, the creature was somewhat surprised that Lin Ye could withstand its pressure.
But it was only surprise.
The next moment, that voice like thunder sounded again.
"You bear sins and need to atone. The first thing you must do is this..."
Tap, tap, tap...
The creature signaled everyone to look forward.
They saw footsteps sound from a doorway inside the Immortal Palace. Before long, a group of Heavenly Soldiers walked out, escorting over a hundred people.
Seeing these people, Lin Ye's pupils constricted.
Among the crowd being escorted over, he saw many familiar faces.
Those soldiers from the Emperor Pass?
How is that possible! After they entered the ancient tower, could it be that the Emperor Pass had been breached?
Aren't these Heavenly Soldiers the Spirit Race that intended to breach the Emperor Pass?
No wonder there was an Immortal Palace here, and it was built above the clouds.
Those Heavenly Soldiers and Generals of the Spirit Race called themselves Immortals.
Since they called themselves Immortals, naturally they would live in an Immortal Palace.
The Cultivators began to whisper to each other; they clearly all recognized these soldiers from the Emperor Pass.
Bang!!!
They saw those Heavenly Soldiers escort the soldiers of the Emperor Pass to the main hall of the Immortal Palace. These soldiers of the Emperor Pass were all bound by chains. Those chains were condensed from Dao principles and could not be broken free; even their cultivation had been Sealed.
Clang, clang, clang...
The sound of metal colliding rang out. The Heavenly Soldiers threw the weapons in their hands onto the ground, making a crisp sound.
The pupils of that giant creature held a hint of disdain.
"If you want to atone, pick up the blades on the ground and slaughter these people. In this way, you will be able to receive our grace!"
