482: Outstanding Disciple

After a simple speech, Ji Yi and the other Immortal Emperors set off for the Time-Space Immortal Sect with their Disciples.

After two days of teleportation, Ji Yi and his group finally arrived outside the Time-Space Immortal Sect’s Sect.

The Time-Space Immortal Sect truly lived up to its name as an ancient Sect; the sense of antiquity on its main gate was unparalleled in the Time-Space Dao Domain, and this gate had witnessed two thousand kalpas of the Time-Space Immortal Sect’s history.

There was another reason why Immortals desperately wanted to enter an Immortal Emperor Dao Lineage: Immortal Emperor Dao Lineages possessed strong self-preservation capabilities during a kalpa. Below an Immortal King Dao Heritage, a single wave of a kalpa could destroy them.

For the Time-Space Immortal Sect to stand for so many years, one had to acknowledge the strength of the Space-Time True God. In the early to Middle Stage, it was entirely the Space-Time True God who safeguarded the Time-Space Immortal Sect.

Today, the Time-Space Immortal Sect was open. Ji Yi registered at the entrance, mainly registering the Sect and the Disciples who would participate in the competition. This time, the Three Thousand Dao Sect brought one hundred outstanding Disciples to participate in the Grand Competition, and Ji Yi and his group intended to thoroughly establish the Three Thousand Dao Sect’s reputation.

A Disciple arranged accommodation for Ji Yi and his group. The Grand Competition was still scheduled to begin tomorrow. Ji Yi and the other Immortal Emperors stayed in their residences, drinking tea. As for the Disciples, they were more energetic and went out to gather intelligence.

The next day, with nine bell chimes, Ji Yi and his Disciples arrived at the Grand Competition venue. The Time-Space Immortal Sect had already arranged seating for all forces based on the registration information.

Sitting down, this was Ji Yi’s first time bringing Disciples to participate in such a Grand Competition. He had previously brought Family Juniors to participate in Trials in the Desolate World, but Juniors and Disciples were still slightly different.

Ji Yi himself had participated in various Grand Competitions, always as the protagonist. Now sitting on the sidelines, watching his Disciples contend for the protagonist’s position, felt very fresh, even more nervous than participating himself. This was because when he participated, he had absolute confidence, but as for his Disciples, their strength compared to him at the same Realm was still far inferior.

The number of Immortals participating in the Grand Competition was enormous, because any Immortal King Dao Heritage or above in the Time-Space Dao Domain was qualified to bring Disciples to participate.

How many Immortal King Dao Heritages and Immortal Emperor Dao Lineages were there in the Time-Space Dao Domain? It was said to exceed ten thousand, and the number of contestants participating in this Grand Competition exceeded one hundred thousand.

With so many people, starting with one-on-one battles would be a pure waste of time. In the center of the venue were a thousand pillars. These pillars did not look large, but their very top was equipped with Space Formations, the inside of which was comparable to the size of a city, enough for these Immortal Realm Disciples to display their skills.

The Sect Master of the Time-Space Immortal Sect announced the rules for the preliminary round. These thousand pillars were a thousand arenas. The participating Disciples would be evenly divided among these arenas, and whoever could stand last on an arena would qualify for the second round. This meant only one thousand Disciples could enter the second round, a selection of one in a hundred, which was very cruel.

Each Disciple had two chances. If you were defeated and knocked off an arena, you had one more chance to choose another arena. If you were swept off an arena twice, then you would completely lose your opportunity.

Names began to appear on each pillar. To prevent errors from duplicate names, each name was preceded by the Sect, and the Time-Space Immortal Sect would not place Disciples from the same Sect on the same arena, which was very fair and humane.

Disciples flew to their respective arenas according to their names. With the Time-Space Immortal Sect’s Sect Master’s command to begin, battles erupted on the thousand arenas.

Ji Yi was very satisfied watching his Disciple, Li Feng, shine on the arena. His Sword Dao was very clean and crisp, and at this Realm, it already had a feeling of returning to simplicity, which was excellent, unlike others who tried to incorporate various Dao into their Sword Dao, making it flashy.

Li Feng only Cultivates the Sword Dao, Destruction Great Dao, and Causality Great Dao. His goal is very clear: to fuse the two supreme Great Dao into his Sword Dao to achieve Immortal Emperor. As for the Heavenly Venerate Realm, he currently doesn't dare to think about it.

Li Feng’s sword was simple yet sharp. Among this group of Immortal Lords, he was like a tiger entering a pack of wolves; he already possessed the combat power of an Immortal King.

Ji Yi then looked at his other Disciples, all of whom performed very well. Although many might not ultimately secure the position of arena master, as long as they performed impressively, they would naturally be noticed by those present.

“Come on, Du Bai, don’t embarrass me!” At this moment, Xiao Min was the most nervous, wishing she could rush up and participate in the competition on behalf of her Disciple.

“I say, Xiao Min, why don’t you go up and participate? Why are you so nervous?” Sister Lan said speechlessly.

“Your Disciple isn’t among the top three in the Sect, so of course you’re not nervous,” Xiao Min retorted.

“Don’t keep talking about the top three in the Sect. An outstanding Disciple will only highlight your incompetence as a master.”

“No matter what you say, my Disciple is stronger than yours.” Xiao Min had an expression that said, ‘I’ve got you.’

“Hmph, just you wait. My next Disciple will definitely be stronger than yours.”

“Oh, you won’t have a chance. I don’t plan to take any more Disciples.”

Indeed, those who haven’t married always have a young girl’s Heart-Nature. The two older single women were constantly bickering.

The number of people on the arenas was continuously decreasing. At this point, the faster arenas had already dwindled to single digits.

On Li Feng’s arena, there were currently three people left. Two people were ganging up on Li Feng, because Li Feng’s strength was simply too great; they had no chance at all if they didn’t team up.

“I say, are you two stupid? What if you defeat me together? I still have one more chance. Which one of you has a chance to stop me alone? You might as well save some stamina to contend for other arenas.” Li Feng only said one sentence, but it made the opponents sober up. Yes, they were so engrossed in fighting that they forgot the rules.

The two left Li Feng and stepped off the arena, their gazes fixed on other arenas. They would pick the soft persimmon, watching to see who was easy to bully and preparing to go up.

Just like that, Li Feng successfully secured the position of arena master. Li Feng’s gaze turned towards Ji Yi, who gave him a thumbs-up. Li Feng scratched his head, feeling shy.

At this moment, Xiao Min’s fists were tightly clenched. Ji Yi was truly worried whether she would dig her fingernails into her flesh.

Her gaze was tightly fixed on the arena where her Disciple Du Bai was located. At this moment, there were five people there. Du Bai was being attacked by two people, while the other two were fighting one-on-one. Du Bai currently had the upper hand. Ji Yi truly doubted whether Xiao Min’s current psychological quality could still handle the position of a scout.

Ji Ziyan’s Disciple also won the arena master position, as did Su Wei’s Disciple. Su Wei’s Disciple was lucky; there were no particularly strong Disciples on that arena, though Su Wei’s Disciple had always been quite lucky.

“Phew!” A heavy sigh came from beside him, from Xiao Min, because Xiao Min’s Disciple had finally successfully defeated the enemy and secured the position of arena master.

“I say, this is just the preliminary round, and you’re already this nervous. If it’s the finals, wouldn’t your heart explode?!” Sister Lan couldn’t stand it anymore.

“None of your business! Let it explode, it won’t kill anyone!”

“Have you heard of the term ‘social death’? You’d be alive, but practically dead, dying of embarrassment.”
