Ji Yi and Ji Ziyan stood quietly before the Six Paths Wheel, and they stood there for a hundred years.
It was very quiet here; no one came to disturb them. Those who could comprehend here were all Immortal Emperors, and no one would provoke a group of Immortal Emperors for no reason; it wasn't a way to court death.
A hundred years later, Ji Yi and Ji Ziyan left. He began to wander around the Netherworld. Aside from its somewhat harsh environment, the Netherworld's prosperity was actually no less than that of the Immortal Realm.
There were many Ghost Immortals here, with cities and forces, the largest of which was King Yama's Palace, a Celestial Venerable Dao Lineage.
Life is inherently unfair, and death is also unfair. Cultivators who die still have the chance to Cultivate the Dao of Ghost Immortals, while Mortals who die can only undergo Reincarnation.
Ji Yi and Ji Ziyan also visited the Kings of Hell. With Ji Yi's status, he was certainly qualified.
The Ten Kings of Hell were all Innate Gods, and now they were at least in the True God Realm. King Guang of Qin subtly gave Ji Yi a sense of threat, making Ji Yi believe that King Guang of Qin had already advanced to Ancestral God.
This was also normal; other Celestial Venerable forces now had at least two Celestial Venerables, so King Yama's Palace could not fall behind.
Ji Yi and Ji Ziyan sat and discussed the Dao with the Ten Kings of Hell, and this discussion lasted for ten years.
During this discussion, Ji Yi gained a deeper understanding of death, Reincarnation, and the Causality Great Dao.
Then, Ji Yi visited the Eighteen Hells. It is often said that the Mortal World is Hell, but after seeing Hell, one would not have such a thought. Who would want to be constantly boiled in a pot of oil, with the cooking time measured in years?
There were also the Tongue-Pulling Hell, the Mountain of Knives and Sea of Fire, and various tortures of beating and torment, all of which were chilling to the bone.
Ji Yi observed the past lives of these Souls, all of whom were great villains. Now, all of this was the Karma planted in their previous lives.
Where there is cause, there must be effect; it's not that there's no retribution, but that the time hasn't come. Ji Yi gained a deeper understanding of this saying.
The deeper one went into Hell, the greater the evil committed by those Souls. There were countless instances of massacres of cities and nations, and these Souls would not know how long it would take before they could undergo Reincarnation.
It was another hundred years before Ji Yi emerged from Hell. After leaving Hell, Ji Yi continued to travel through the Netherworld, encountering the native creatures of the Netherworld, the Asura race. They should have been the masters of the Netherworld, but there was no 'should' in the Cultivation world.
The Asura race was inherently warlike; both men and women were fanatical combatants. They pursued the extreme of battle. In the Asura race, there was truly a fighting stage every three steps. If they disliked each other, or even liked each other, they would go to the stage to fight.
Ji Yi and Ji Ziyan transformed into Asuras, challenging others along the way, enjoying the pleasure of battle just like the Asuras.
The two gained a lot here, making significant progress in the Dao of Battle.
Ji Yi and Ji Ziyan traveled through the various civilizations in the Netherworld. Each civilization had its unique characteristics. There was no perfect civilization in this world; only by developing their own characteristics could they stand among the Three Realms.
The Dao is in the Mortal World. Ji Yi officially began his journey through the Three Realms. He integrated into various ethnic groups to experience each civilization, and his understanding of life and creation deepened.
As Ji Yi's insights grew, a question arose in his heart: Does the Dao have an end?
The power of the same Great Dao in the Major Thousand Worlds and the Immortal Realm was incomparably different. The Heavenly Dao was also the same; the Heavenly Dao of the Major Thousand Worlds was incomparable to that of the Immortal Realm and was even subject to the Immortal Realm's Heavenly Dao.
If a world were many times stronger than the Immortal Realm, would the Immortal Lords of that world be stronger than the Immortal Kings of the Immortal Realm? This was entirely possible.
The Three Realms were not the only world; Ji Yi had known this for a long time. It was entirely possible that within the vast Grandmist, there existed a world much stronger than this one.
Cultivating the Dao and transcending the world was one path; developing a world was also a path.
Thinking of his own Zi Yi World, which constantly devoured other Major Thousand Worlds to become stronger, what if there was also a world in the Grandmist that constantly devoured other worlds? Would this world also be devoured one day?
Ji Yi thought a lot, but he couldn't find the answer. He continued his travels. After finishing his journey in the Netherworld, he and Ji Ziyan returned to the Immortal Realm to travel.
The Immortal Realm had even more races and more diverse civilizations. Ji Yi traveled from one Dao Domain to another, transforming into the appearance of a race, experiencing the story of each race.
The civilization of each race was an epic. They had their own heroes and their own spiritual beliefs. Although their race was so insignificant in the Immortal Realm, it never affected their yearning and love for life.
Ji Yi's heart, which had become increasingly ruthless due to Cultivation, began to gush with hot blood.
In Cultivation, as the trajectory of life lengthens, family affection and friendship become distant. This was not only true for Ji Yi, but almost all Immortals were the same.
Immortals, as they Cultivate to the end, become more inclined towards ruthless Immortals, forgetting their fundamental nature as humans.
Ji Yi suddenly realized that ever since his strength had grown, his ambition had been great, and he had been constantly planning for his future.
He had gradually lost that pure bond with his brothers and friends. He had people from the Zi Yi World ascend to help him complete his plans.
He stood at the height of the Heavenly Dao but never considered whether those people were willing. Every life had its own beliefs and goals, and he was forcibly interfering with others' lives.
Although he gave them better Cultivation resources, a safer environment, and a larger stage, perhaps some people just wanted to stay peacefully in the Zi Yi World, or they wanted to venture out on their own.
Just like the Emperor and the Human Emperor, with their talent, they could have joined major forces early on when they first entered the Immortal Realm, but they insisted on forging their own paths.
Ji Yi began to reflect on himself. His human attributes began to return, and his emotions became active.
When he opened his eyes again to look at this world, he saw the joys and sorrows of all beings, their pursuits and aspirations, instead of simply pursuing the Great Dao.
This was a vibrant and colorful world, a world where countless lives told epics.
Treating all beings as chess pieces, although it was the path of almost all powerful beings, it should not be his path.
All of it was because he began to lack confidence, which was why he sought the help of others. If he was confident and Invincible, even without any force, his word would still be law.
The former Emperor was a Loose Cultivator in the Desolate World, but in the Middle Ancient Era, which Immortal Sect or Immortal Family dared not obey the Emperor?
Ji Yi understood many things. His heart began to settle. He was not others; there was no need to walk the path of others. If he walked as others did, would he still be himself?
I should be myself! Ji Yi's heart expanded infinitely. At this moment, he reached another level.
