131: Egret prepares to receive the spirit

Having chosen a Cultivation Technique, Chen Cuo was ready to Cultivate with peace of mind, hoping to make progress as quickly as possible.

The Cultivation Technique is the branch, it is the Dao; Spells and Martial Skills are the leaves, they are the arts. Arts are also necessary means to protect one's Dao and advance, and for Cultivation, wealth, companions, techniques, and land are all indispensable.

Chen Cuo had already made his choice for the Dao, but he never thought Spells were too many. Whether it was Artifact Refining, Alchemy, Talisman Making, or Puppetry, mastering one Dao meant mastering a hundred.

He wasn't afraid of biting off more than he could chew; with endless years stretching before him, he had enough time to waste. Moreover, Cultivating Immortals was about being at ease; if one's Qi was not smooth, they would lose the heart for longevity. No matter how high their cultivation, if their heart was not pure, they would not last long.

Every time he learned a Spell or a skill, Chen Cuo felt the joy of successful Cultivation in his heart. With this mindset, Chen Cuo progressed rapidly.

Since Chen Cuo was already at the twelfth layer of Qi Condensation, and the thirteenth layer, Great Perfection, was within reach, the expansion of his Dantian's Spiritual Qi was slowly reaching its limit. This was a gradual process and could not be rushed. Furthermore, to Cultivate the principles of Five-Colored Immortal Foundation construction recorded in the Five-Colored Immortal Foundation, he needed to perfect it little by little to lay the foundation for Foundation Establishment. All of this required time.

In terms of Body Tempering methods, they fall under the Dao of the Body Cultivator, where the Physical Body forms a Dharma Body, an indestructible Golden Body. This aspect is the simplest; it's about slow tempering. Both the Giant Spirit Body and the Giant Demon Skill have unique techniques for transformation and amplification, comparable to Divine Abilities.

The Mountain Moving Skill is for cultivating the extreme, pure power. There's no reason to let this Cultivation Technique go, but currently, the Cultivation Technique from Fan Wufeng only has three layers, with no path forward. He needs to make plans early, but he has put it off until after Foundation Establishment.

The Dragon Clear Tiger Fiend Golden Body still has areas worth deducing. Its power of repulsion is infinitely marvelous and can be integrated with extreme power. This is also his main focus, to integrate some basic techniques to complete the Follow-up.

In the Dao of Spells, various simple Spells can be cast instantly by relying on the rotation of the Five Elements, and their power can even be enhanced.

For offense, he has the Blade God Art. Although his sword techniques have not yet fully integrated, they already show basic signs of becoming a dual master of blade and sword. For long-range, he has bows and arrows; for close combat, his Physical Body is unharmed, capable of moving mountains and filling seas, with infinite Divine Power.

Finally, among the hundred skills, Artifact Refining is the best, and he also has multiple talents. Alchemy and Talisman Making each have a foundation, and he has achieved rudimentary success in Formations. There are many other miscellaneous skills, ensuring he will never starve.

Day after day, ten days passed in a flash. After Chen Cuo handed over the refining method of the Fire Spirit Ring to the Bai Family, he wondered if they had successfully refined it?

However, Chen Cuo had been in seclusion for ten days, and no one had disturbed him, which showed the Bai Family's way of handling things.

"Presumably, there are some key points in the refining of the Fire Spirit Ring that can still stump some people. It's best to go out and see."

In ten days, with his profound immortal techniques, Chen Cuo could only barely get started with the Five-Colored Immortal Foundation method. He then spent time familiarizing himself with object manipulation techniques, controlling various Magical Artifacts, achieving a good level of proficiency. As for the Magical Artifacts he had refined, he could even achieve a state of telepathic connection.

When using the Shadowless Flying Sword, it was like using his own fingers, allowing for more intricate and complex fine-tuned operations.

When he had free time from Cultivation, Chen Cuo felt joyful and indulged in some luxury, drinking fine wine.

Today, finding the time just right, he decided to visit White Egret. According to his estimation, White Egret's Spirit Nurturing should be put on the agenda. Chen Cuo had not yet taught her the Breathing Technique he promised, so he certainly couldn't break his word. The Ten Thousand Spirits Breathing was just a small Innate talent for Chen Cuo, but it could increase the success rate of Spiritual Root Awakening, making it easier for White Egret to enter the Dao. He also wanted to see how well she had prepared.

In the Bai Family's Third Branch, Bai Tang did not handle affairs, only focusing on arduous Cultivation and seeking the Dao. All the business of the Third Branch was overseen by Bai Luochuan. The Third Branch managed the Bai Family's market business, not only within the Baiyan Country but also having market shops in the Lingbao Mountain Immortal Mountain territory. The scale was not small, and the profits were considerable.

The Bai Family handled matters fairly. White Egret had rendered meritorious service by finding three Immortal Seeds during her training in the Jueling Realm, so Spirit Nurturing was only natural.

Chen Cuo wandered along the Two World Mountain boundary, searching for the Third Branch's territory. After revealing his identity, he directly had a Bai Family member lead him there. Along the way, he also encountered many strangers, greeted them, and exchanged pleasantries, so as not to be unfamiliar in the future.

Soon he arrived at the Third Branch. Before Chen Cuo could even visit, Bai Tang and White Egret had already come to find him. After some small talk, they got to the main topic.

Bai Tang immediately asked, "Chen Cuo, have you already chosen a Foundation Establishment Cultivation Technique? Do you not know that the Five-Colored Immortal Foundation is a top-tier excellent method, yet extremely difficult to Cultivate? Condensing an Immortal Foundation is even more time-consuming. For Martial Artists like you who undergo Foundation Establishment, you should first supplement the strength of your Divine Soul, otherwise, the three hurdles of Foundation Establishment will be difficult to pass."

Those who return to their true nature through martial arts and achieve Qi Condensation are few and far between. Not to mention the failure rate of Spirit Nurturing, even those who succeed may not have a complete conversion of magical power, falling into the state of Qi Deviation.

And as for wanting to establish a Foundation, for Martial Artists, they are truly few and far between. Martial Artists mostly Cultivate their Physical Body. If they Cultivate Internal Skill and achieve Innate, only then can they Cultivate True Qi. The better the quality of True Qi, the higher the level of magical power converted after Spirit Nurturing. If the quality of True Qi is inferior, even a Grandmaster at Innate Great Perfection, after successfully nurturing their spirit, their magical power would only be equivalent to the seventh or eighth layer of Qi Condensation.

This Innate Great Perfection being equivalent to Qi Condensation Great Perfection also refers to only the top tier of Cultivators.

Foundation Establishment is fraught with countless difficulties, even for those who begin Cultivating Immortals from the start, let alone Martial Artists. Martial Artists Cultivate their Physical Body, so their strong Physical Body goes without saying; the Physical Body hurdle is almost no problem. However, the Magical Power hurdle and the Divine Soul hurdle are the main challenges.

The Magical Power hurdle has already been discussed; gaining even one more layer of cultivation is a great advantage. The Divine Soul hurdle is even more important. Some cultivation insights he had read also mentioned that during Foundation Establishment, an inner tribulation descends. This tribulation arises from the heart and originates from emotions, and there is no way to avoid it.

It is a tribulation of the mind and spirit, a tribulation of the Divine Soul. If one's Divine Soul is not strong, there is a risk of Foundation Establishment failure.

Most Martial Artists fall at the Divine Soul hurdle, as most Martial Artists have no marvelous methods to Cultivate their Divine Soul, making their hope of Foundation Establishment slim.

Chen Cuo was a Martial Artist, but after his Spirit Nurturing, upon entering the immortal cultivation world, he completed the conversion of his magical power, becoming a Late Stage Cultivator at the eleventh layer of Qi Condensation. This fully demonstrates how refined Chen Cuo's True Qi cultivation was, and his magical power only needed slight attention.

Bai Tang thought Chen Cuo should focus his efforts on Cultivating his Divine Soul, but she unexpectedly found that he had chosen the Five-Colored Immortal Foundation, continuing to refine his magical power, which seemed somewhat like putting the cart before the horse.

Hearing Bai Tang's voice, Chen Cuo said, "It's fine, I just wanted to first find a Foundation Establishment Cultivation Technique to comprehend. I am not lacking in Divine Soul methods!"

In Tianbo City, he had already purchased several Cultivation Techniques for Divine Soul, mostly Divine Soul attack Spells. After all, his Divine Soul, due to the Undying Source Candle taking root, didn't need much cultivation and was constantly strengthening.

Bai Tang's words carried some unknown meaning, perhaps a test, or perhaps concern. Chen Cuo hadn't fully grasped the marvel of the Life-Death Talisman, but he still brushed off what Bai Tang said.

He turned to White Egret and asked, "How are your Spiritual Root Qi and your Spirit Nurturing protective items prepared?"

"Everything is ready. After consolidating my cultivation for another two or three days, I'll be ready to begin!"

White Egret said this, but looked eagerly at Chen Cuo, meaning to ask about the Spirit Nurturing Breathing Technique Chen Cuo had promised earlier. As it concerned her Dao, White Egret put aside some of her reserve.

Chen Cuo was already prepared. He extracted all the key points of the Ten Thousand Spirits Breathing and made them into a Jade Slip, which he handed to White Egret.

Although the Ten Thousand Spirits Breathing was an Innate talent Chen Cuo awakened, it could be seen as a special breathing technique. It had a good effect on summoning Spiritual Qi, Awakening Spiritual Roots, and completing the conversion of True Qi into magical power, much like a natural outcome.

Since it was a breathing technique, it could naturally be learned by anyone, but the effect was simply not as good as when Chen Cuo used it!
