26: A single move can affect the entire body

Not long after, Ge Feng's subordinates brought Wang Tao. The tranquil night sky brought a solemn killing intent, and they were the source of that killing intent.

"Wang Tao, you're good. After this, you'll be my sworn brother. Chen Cuo is too much of a bully. This time, I'm going to take him down a peg and reclaim Changshun Street," Ge Feng said, patting Wang Tao's shoulder when he saw him arrive.

The reason Ge Feng used to contact his old subordinates was to retake Changshun Street, and he did not mention that he had betrayed the Vajra Sect.

Wang Tao immediately replied firmly, "Thank you for thinking highly of me, Boss. After Chen Cuo took up residence in Changshun Street, he started forming factions and was truly inhumane. I'm still willing to work by your side, Boss."

When Chen Cuo set the rules, Wang Tao also received one or two taels of silver as a reward, but later, unable to resist his greedy nature, he continued to oppress the shops on the street as usual for several days and was caught by Chen Cuo's subordinates and given a good beating.

Because of this, he harbored resentment. Just then, he received Ge Feng's invitation and immediately wanted to return to his old boss's embrace. He figured Ge Feng couldn't swallow this insult and wanted to get back at Chen Cuo. In the future, Chen Cuo wouldn't be able to do anything to him.

"Are you sure Chen Cuo is in the street right now?" Ge Feng confirmed again.

"Yes, Chen Cuo has been staying in your former residence, Boss, and hasn't gone out."

"Good!" Ge Feng felt confident. He turned around and said loudly to his subordinates, "Brothers, you are all my trusted men, and you follow me just to make a living. But this Chen fellow is too much of a bully. He occupied Changshun Street and cut off our monthly income. Your wives and children will starve and freeze in the future. Are you willing to let that happen?"

"No! No!" Everyone gasped roughly. This place was just a corner away from Changshun Street, and most people kept their voices down, but these suppressed shouts conveyed their deep anger. Cutting off someone's livelihood was like killing their parents; it was a mortal enmity.

However, everyone did not know that this was Ge Feng's way of shifting the blame. He had not revealed a single detail about his betrayal of the Vajra Sect and his contact with the North Dipper Gang to his trusted confidants.

"Now, follow me to reclaim Changshun Street. Your monthly wages will triple from now on, and for this operation, anyone who kills one person will be rewarded with ten taels of silver."

Killing one person could earn ten taels of silver. Ge Feng's subordinates' eyes immediately turned red. They looked at the other street corner; their former comrades were all living silver.

After a passionate and stirring speech, Wang Tao was instantly stunned. He had thought that Ge Feng merely wanted to target Chen Cuo, give him a lesson, injure him, or perhaps even kill Chen Cuo.

However, he didn't expect that Ge Feng clearly intended to eliminate all the other brothers as well. This was undoubtedly an act of Gang betrayal. Cold sweat immediately poured down his back, and he tried to retreat.

But it was too late. As soon as he turned around, someone grabbed him by the neck, and a voice pierced his eardrums: "It'll be troublesome for Brother Wang Tao to lead us to eliminate the patrols Chen Cuo has set up!"

If they were only targeting Chen Cuo, there would be no need for internal and external cooperation; they could just find his residence and lead people to kill him.

However, Ge Feng was clearly targeting Chen Cuo's subordinates, or rather, the Vajra Sect.

Immediately, more than a dozen people from the group, escorting Wang Tao, went to deal with the patrol sentries Chen Cuo had set up.

Ge Feng took a deep breath, looked at the brightly lit street in front of him, and with his large group of men, tightened his grip on his long saber and headed straight for his original residence.

Residents living in the streets were no strangers to Gang fights. The night in Wei City was the world of the two major Gangs.

As experienced citizens, upon seeing the dense crowd, each holding a gleaming Sharp Weapon, they immediately knew something was wrong and calls for alarm erupted.

Seeing this, the common people retreated to their homes, closed their doors, shut their windows, extinguished their lights, and secretly prayed for the night to pass quickly.

As soon as they entered the Changshun Street entrance, the scent of blood immediately began to spread. The patrolmen outside had already been eliminated by the dozen or so skilled men he had sent out.

Ge Feng drove straight in and instantly arrived at his former villa. At this point, he no longer needed to hide anything. He had already planned to completely break ties with the Vajra Sect. Seeing the Gang members guarding outside, he simply brandished the long saber in his hand and roared, "Kill!"

As old hands who had been in the Gang for many years, Chen Cuo's subordinates were not fools. When they saw the lights in the street dimming one after another, they knew something big was wrong. Although some people were too late to escape and were eliminated, a few shrewd individuals retreated into Chen Cuo's courtyard, adopting a defensive posture.

There was no strategy to speak of in Gang street fights. The street entrance offered no way to avoid being surrounded, and a small courtyard made long-term hiding impossible.

As torches were thrown into the well-decorated courtyard, Chen Cuo's subordinates, each holding a long saber, revealed themselves one by one.

In a narrow encounter, the brave win. Judging by the current situation, there was no way for a peaceful resolution. Both sides were filled with anger and immediately charged into battle, instantly engaging in close combat.

However, some of Chen Cuo's subordinates were still in the courtyard trying to put out the fire. If a large fire broke out, Changshun Street, including its archways, was entirely made of wood, and it would be disastrous if it were destroyed in an instant.

As soon as the two sides clashed, Ge Feng's side, relying on their numerical superiority, gained the initiative, injuring and killing more than a dozen of Chen Cuo's subordinates.

The newly recruited ruffians under Chen Cuo all retreated. They had long lost the courage to fight for their lives and were unreliable.

However, most of his previously trained subordinates had been instructed by Hong Feng to learn some boxing and ordinary saber techniques, and they fought with some strategy against the enemy.

"Hmm, not bad. Those few can be carefully cultivated, and their treatment can be improved in the future," Chen Cuo said, pointing to the few most aggressive fighters on his side.

Ding Xiang looked and nodded along.

Just as the two sides were fighting, they didn't know that Chen Cuo was precisely positioned in a high pavilion, meticulously observing the outcome of the battle between the two sides, truly sitting high on the fishing platform.

Chen Cuo looked at the few valiant fighters, having a plan in mind. They had only learned basic boxing, but they fought with considerable strategy, and they were all about to enter the Skin Refining Realm.

If they could survive this battle and develop a bloody courage, they could indeed be cultivated to strengthen his faction's power.

Now that Chen Cuo controlled Changshun Street, Qingshui Street, and Jingshui Street, he needed more trusted subordinates to manage these three streets properly. Ding Xiang and Hong Feng alone were far from enough.

While the two sides were entangled, taking advantage of the bravery of a few of Chen Cuo's men, Chen Cuo's side held on with difficulty. However, Ge Feng shamelessly attacked, delivering two consecutive, surging saber strikes that instantly cut down two of Chen Cuo's leading subordinates.

Suddenly, a loud, powerful, and shocking shout was heard: "Hey, how shameless! You, a Martial Artist in the Bone Refining Realm, actually attack a group of ordinary Martial Artists! Ge Feng, are you betraying the Vajra Sect by attacking my Changshun Street at night?"

It turned out to be Gu Pang. He was originally patrolling Qingshui Street when he happened to hear the sounds of fighting. He rushed over following the noise and found Ge Feng leading his troops to attack the courtyard where Chen Cuo was. He held a large guan dao, looking majestic.

Seeing Ge Feng also taking advantage of the chaos to sneak attack his elite subordinates, he couldn't help but be furious. While shouting, he moved with swift steps, swinging his guan dao towards Ge Feng.

He did not answer Gu Pang's words, nor was there any need to.

Because Ge Feng simply didn't care. The only person among Chen Cuo's subordinates who made him slightly wary was Hong Feng. This fat man Gu was just a brute, nothing to worry about.

Hong Feng was currently inside Chen Cuo's courtyard, organizing people to put out the fire, unable to attend to this side.

However, he did think that if he could take down this fat man, he could force Chen Cuo out. If Chen Cuo acted like a coward tonight, only hiding in the courtyard and refusing to come out, then his actions today would be in vain, and his subsequent arrangements could not be carried out.

So he was not afraid at all, unhurriedly performing the Splashing Wind Saber Technique to meet Gu Pang. The saber technique he used was skilled at using speed to counter slowness. Once the saber form was established, it was impenetrable, extremely fast. Moreover, Gu Pang was using a thick guan dao, which he couldn't block in time.

His footwork also remained continuous, wanting to instantly break through Gu Pang's attack and advance straight towards Gu Pang's chest.

Unexpectedly, Gu Pang also countered the move. His original vertical chop turned into a horizontal slash, instantly resembling autumn winds sweeping fallen leaves, bringing a strong gust of wind that blew towards him, causing Ge Feng's robes to flap and his stance to become unstable.

The surging power and powerful slash quickly attacked, and Ge Feng's forward momentum was immediately blocked. He also had no time to dodge, only using his long saber to block the attack, and was forced back three steps by Gu Pang.

Then he picked up the precious saber in his hand and saw a large chip appear on the blade. How could he have known that Gu Pang today was not the Gu Pang of yesterday?

After Chen Cuo told Gu Pang about the method of using the Layered Wave Qi, a simulated wave of internal Qi that he had comprehended, he personally used internal Qi to simulate tides to temper him and guide his Cultivation of the Great Boundless Ocean Skill, allowing his Cultivation Technique to quickly reach the entry level, making his strength more than three times stronger than before.

Seeing Ge Feng retreat, Gu Pang, taking advantage of his momentum, did not back down and delivered another vertical chop, heading straight for his head. Ge Feng only then reacted, realizing that he had lost the initiative due to his underestimation and was unstable.

Immediately, he quickly retreated. Several confidants, seeing Gu Pang's strength, also came out to block him. Under Gu Pang's attack, several subordinates were instantly cut down.

Chen Cuo sat steadily in the high building, and upon seeing Gu Pang's move, he couldn't help but rub his forehead, softly saying, "This guy, really! Is it Cheng Yaojin's three-strike axe?"

It turned out that Gu Pang's guan dao only used three saber techniques, completely unchanged: horizontal chop, vertical slash, and forward thrust. Ge Feng also perceived that Gu Pang was entirely relying on the strength of his weapon and the ample stamina of his Cultivation Technique to intimidate his subordinates.

So he only let his subordinates entangle with him, no longer paying attention to him, and then personally attacked the courtyard.

Chen Cuo was also itching to join the fight at this moment. If he didn't make a move, he feared that the other side's subsequent moves wouldn't appear. Ge Feng causing such a ruckus here was just a farce.

Ultimately, it still depended on the subsequent arrangements of all parties. As the saying goes, pulling one hair moves the whole body. At this moment, Chen Cuo had become the focal point of both sides, just as Chen Cuo had expected, countless eyes were staring intently at this place.
