59: Chapter 59 The Gale Appears, Overturning the Prologue

One week later.

Xingchen Machinery Factory, old workshop.

Fifty silver electric motorcycles were lined up neatly.

Old Zhang stood beside the fleet, a cigarette dangling from his mouth; he had been standing there for two minutes.

Ever since he witnessed the extreme test of the super battery that day, his worldview had been shattered.

Now, looking at these machines powered by that kind of battery which "defied the laws of physics," he even doubted whether he was still living in reality.

Chen Xu walked in from the workshop entrance, his phone pressed against his ear.

"Boss Huang, come to my factory."

His tone was very casual.

"I have something to show you."

Hanging up the phone, Chen Xu glanced at his watch.

Forty minutes later.

A brand-new BMW X5 braked sharply at the factory gate, the tires screeching against the ground.

Huang Dashan jumped out of the car. Over the past month or so, relying on the exclusive supply of "Baofeng," he had made a fortune, even walking with a spring in his step.

"General Manager Chen!"

He trotted in, his face full of anticipation.

"Is the baofeng generation 2 out? You have to reserve enough stock for me this time! My shop is being mobbed every day!"

Chen Xu didn't speak; he turned and walked toward the old workshop.

Huang Dashan followed him, rubbing his hands together, still muttering: "The last batch sold out in three days. This time, give me at least five hundred units..."

His voice came to an abrupt halt.

He stood at the workshop entrance.

Dozens of silver electric motorcycles he had never seen before were lined up neatly in the corner of the workshop.

The streamlined body, the sharp, angular structure—every detail spoke of two words: Future.

Huang Dashan's breath hitched.

He had been in the electric vehicle business for nearly ten years; he could recite every brand and model on the market by heart.

But he dared to swear on his shop that he had never seen a design like this.

"This..."

Chen Xu walked to the front row and pointed at a bike.

"Jifeng."

He patted the seat.

"Generation 2."

Huang Dashan stepped forward, reaching out to touch the body of the bike.

"General Manager Chen, this bike..."

"Three-hundred-kilometer range."

Chen Xu's voice was soft.

Huang Dashan's hand froze in mid-air.

"Top speed of 120."

A three-hundred-kilometer range? A top speed of 120?

The top-tier electric motorcycles on the market officially claim a range of 150, but if they actually manage 100, you'd be lucky.

If they can hit a top speed of 60, they dare to call themselves a "performance monster."

But this bike in front of him...

"General Manager Chen, you... you're joking, right?"

Huang Dashan couldn't believe his ears.

Chen Xu smiled.

"These ten units, they're for you."

"How much? If this bike hits the market, the entire Fei City... no, the entire electric motorcycle market in China will be turned upside down!"

He was already doing the math in his head—a bike with this kind of performance would be snapped up even at ten thousand!

"No charge."

Chen Xu's words made Huang Dashan's smile freeze.

"Go find ten of the most hardcore delivery riders."

"Let them ride them."

"Free of charge for one month."

Huang Dashan was stunned for three seconds, then suddenly slapped his thigh.

He understood.

This was the most brutal real-world test!

Using the delivery riders who cover the most ground, have the most demanding requirements for range, and are the pickiest about vehicle performance to verify the true performance of the "Jifeng"!

Once these ten bikes started running on the streets of Fei City...

There would be no need for advertising; the entire delivery circle would explode.

"Brilliant! General Manager Chen, that is truly brilliant!"

But he quickly calmed down; a businessman's instinct made him think of a fatal problem.

"General Manager Chen, this bike's performance is so strong, it definitely meets the standards for an electric motorcycle."

He lowered his voice.

"Without a production license, it can't be registered, and traffic police will impound it on sight. We..."

Before he could finish.

Chen Xu's phone rang.

Caller ID: Brother Wang.

"General Manager Chen!"

On the other end of the line, Brother Wang's voice was distorted with excitement.

"That electric motorcycle production license you asked me to help handle has been approved!"

"The documents have been sent to your email! A legitimate production permit! With this, your Jifeng can get standard motorcycle license plates and travel nationwide!"

Chen Xu hung up.

He looked at Huang Dashan and put his phone back in his pocket.

"The license, we have it."

Was this... a setup from the very beginning?

"General Manager Chen, you are..."

Huang Dashan realized that he had been underestimating this young man all along.

"I'll go find people right away!"

He promised, patting his chest.

"I'll assemble the most hardcore riders in all of Fei City for you!"

"Remember."

Chen Xu held up one finger.

"For this month, apart from letting them ride, you are not allowed to disclose any information about this bike to anyone."

"If anyone asks, just say you don't know."

His gaze was cold.

"I want the entire Fei City to be curious about this bike."

Huang Dashan shivered.

He understood.

Hunger marketing.

Information blockade.

Let the market ferment, spread, and go crazy on its own.

"Understood!"

...

Two days later.

Seven o'clock in the morning, the peak of the morning delivery rush.

Ten delivery riders, wearing the uniforms of different delivery platforms, rode identical silver electric motorcycles as they set out from different stations.

The sound of the motors starting was very soft.

The red light turned green.

The surrounding electric scooters were still starting slowly, but they had already disappeared at the end of the intersection.

"Holy crap, what kind of bike is that?"

A delivery rider on a Niu scooter stood there, stunned.

"It ran so damn fast!"

Twelve o'clock at noon.

A resting area at a delivery station.

A courier riding a "Jifeng" had just parked when he was surrounded by a group of peers.

"Brother, what brand is your bike?"

"You've been riding all morning, how much battery is left?"

"Where did you buy this bike? How much was it?"

The courier on the "Jifeng" gave a mysterious smile and said nothing.

The others looked at each other in confusion.

But the seed of curiosity had already been planted.

One day.

Two days.

Three days.

The entire delivery circle in Fei City began to circulate a legend—

There were ten delivery riders riding a type of silver electric motorcycle that no one had ever seen before.

It ran incredibly fast, could run all day on a single charge, and some even said the bike could go two hundred kilometers!

"Are you kidding me? Two hundred kilometers? How big of a battery would that need?"

"I saw it with my own eyes! That bike ran from seven in the morning until ten at night without charging once in between!"

"You're bragging without even thinking; the best electric motorcycles right now only have a real-world range of seventy or eighty kilometers."

The debate was fermenting.

Finally, a quick-witted delivery rider, while waiting at a red light, saw the small logo on the body of the "Jifeng".

Star Technology.

He was stunned for a moment.

Then it suddenly hit him—

Isn't this the company behind the "Baofeng" electric scooters that have been exploding in popularity all over the city lately?

After finishing work in the afternoon, he didn't go home; he rode directly to the "Baofeng" Flagship Store on the North Second Ring Road.

Huang Dashan was counting money behind the counter, grinning from ear to ear.

The door was pushed open.

A delivery rider walked in.

"Boss!"

He went straight to the counter and pressed his hands on the glass surface.

"Does your shop have a new bike? A silver one, super fast, the kind that doesn't need charging all day?"

Huang Dashan looked up.

A mysterious smile appeared on his face.

"What are you talking about? I don't understand."
