127: Chapter 127 Getting Good Items

Zhen Lu picked up the badge; as soon as his Mental Power touched the surface of the badge, he perceived the information recorded inside.

This badge is called "Hidden"; its usage is very simple: infuse it with Mental Power, and it can bring the holder and their teammates into a hidden state simultaneously.

The intensity of the hidden effect is very high; generally, detection abilities that are about two tiers higher struggle to discover it, and only someone three tiers higher can see through it.

He flipped the badge between his fingers and looked up at A-Shu.

"Who is the Xueqi Organization?"

A-Shu stood up from beside the corpses, brushed the dirt off his knees, and spoke with an undisguised tone of disgust.

"The Xueqi Organization is a group that has always had a grudge against us and opposes us at every turn. Both of our organizations took root in Huolei City at the same time, fighting over territory and resources, and both have strongholds in the city."

He looked down at the bodies scattered across the ground. "Looking at these people, they should be all the personnel the Xueqi Organization had stationed in this small town."

His gaze fell on the badge in Zhen Lu's hand. He leaned in closer to examine it carefully for a moment, then raised his head, his tone carrying a hint of certainty.

"The badge in your hand should be called 'Hidden'. It is one of the treasures issued by the Xueqi Organization to their peripheral leaders, brought out from other worlds. This group of people is very hard to kill and often ambushes others, relying on this very treasure."

He paused, then glanced at the smoke still lingering in the direction of the ruins. "It must have been their main peripheral leader who came to ambush us with this treasure just now. You really are amazing, taking them all out in one go."

"Do your two organizations have a lot of treasures? Any random peripheral leader can pull out a treasure."

Zhen Lu spun the badge between his fingers and looked up at A-Shu.

"No, treasures are very rare. It's just that this leader is related to their organization's boss and is highly trusted, which is why he had this treasure," A-Shu explained.

Zhen Lu nodded and clutched the badge in his palm. "Then, do you want to buy this item?"

A-Shu's expression changed immediately, a flash of pleasant surprise in his eyes. "Buy it! Of course, the more treasures, the better. Just tell me what you need; as long as we can provide it, we can find a way."

Zhen Lu thought for a moment. "Then lay out everything you can provide for me to see. I'll trade with you once I find something suitable."

Zhen Lu handed the badge to Shen Yue. "Take a look at this and estimate a price; I'm not sure about the value of treasures."

Shen Yue took the badge, her fingertips lightly tracing the engravings on its surface.

She examined it back and forth several times, then raised her eyes, her tone carrying a cautious assessment.

"I can't say for sure what the specific price is, but this treasure provides group invisibility, and judging by the effect used by those people from the Xueqi Organization just now, the concealment tier is very high."

She weighed the badge in her palm. "It definitely isn't cheap. It should be able to sell for around ten million credits."

Zhen Lu silently noted the figure in his mind.

In fact, he had never specifically paid attention to the market prices of treasures.

This treasure was useless to him; he already possessed Stealth and Camouflage, and could handle concealment with his own skills.

Treasures couldn't be brought into the real world and could only function within the game; keeping it in his hands would be a complete waste.

If he could trade it for the Skill Scroll he needed most, or directly trade for an ability-type scroll, that would be truly using steel where it's sharpest.

"You two, please follow me inside; let's discuss this indoors."

A-Shu made a welcoming gesture toward the intact concrete building in the center of the camp. "Someone will clean up outside. I'll call a few more comrades over so we can properly discuss the trade. We'll also make a list of the things we can provide so you can take a look and we can discuss it together."

Zhen Lu and Shen Yue followed A-Shu back into the camp.

This time, they didn't go to his Iron Skin shack; A-Shu led the two of them directly into the building in the very center of the camp that appeared to be intact.

The interior was simply furnished but much tidier than the shack. A few joined metal chairs surrounded an old wooden table, and a faded mercenary group flag hung on the wall.

After they sat down, two more players arrived, standing next to A-Shu and whispering with him for quite a while.

Zhen Lu leaned back in his chair, fingers tapping lightly on the tabletop, not rushing them.

Shen Yue sat beside him, her gaze sweeping back and forth between the players in the room, then landing on the badge still resting by Zhen Lu's hand on the table.

After a while, A-Shu walked over with a data pad, sat down opposite Zhen Lu, and pushed the data pad forward.

"This is what we can provide at the moment; take a look."

A list of item names and brief annotations was displayed on the screen.

Zhen Lu took the data pad and scrolled down line by line. Shen Yue leaned over to look with him.

Zhen Lu's fingers quickly swiped across the screen.

He glanced over the quotes for gray steel, the exchange rates for Mutant Beast materials, and the manufacturing parameters for several old-style combat armors, but his attention remained locked on the Skill Scroll category.

When he scrolled to the end of the list, his fingers stopped. The names of three Skill Scrolls were quietly listed in the last few lines, each followed by a brief description.

Energy Affinity: Passive, increases the holder's absorption efficiency of ambient energy in the environment, speeds up natural recovery, and the effect is more pronounced in energy-rich areas. Temporary Skill Scroll.

Cell Activation: Passive, accelerates the self-repair and metabolism of body cells, increases energy recovery speed, shortens the replenishment cycle after physical exertion, and slightly increases vitality. Temporary Skill Scroll.

Slow Self-Healing: Passive, slow continuous self-healing effect, continuously recovering injuries and physical exhaustion. Temporary Skill Scroll.

He placed the data pad on the table, his fingers pointing at the names of these three Skill Scrolls. "I want these three Skill Scrolls. I'll trade this 'Hidden' for them."

A-Shu looked down at the badge by his hand, then back at the three entries on the screen, his brows furrowing slightly.

"These three are all rare passive Skill Scrolls; they could even be considered three abilities. Trading one treasure for three passive Skill Scrolls, isn't that a bit much?"

"These three of yours are all temporary Skill Scrolls." Zhen Lu leaned back in his chair, his tone unhurried, every word carrying a weight that brooked no negotiation. "They can only be used in the game world and can't be taken out. This treasure of mine is permanent and can be used indefinitely. You're trading three temporary ones for one permanent one; you do the math."

He placed the badge on the table, the metal striking the wooden surface with a crisp sound.

A-Shu's gaze followed the badge for a moment, his lips moving, but he didn't answer immediately.

Shen Yue sat nearby, her gaze shifting between the two, not interjecting.

A-Shu set the data pad aside on the corner of the table and turned his head to whisper with the two players beside him for quite a while.

The group spoke quickly in low voices, occasionally glancing up at Zhen Lu before quickly looking away to continue their discussion.

Zhen Lu leaned back in his chair, not rushing them, just slowly spinning the badge between his fingers.

A moment later, A-Shu turned back and gave a clear answer: "Fine, we accept this trade."

He put the data pad away, his tone sincere. "However, please wait a moment. We only have one of these three Skill Scrolls on hand; the other two need to be transferred from the headquarters in the city, which will take some time."

Zhen Lu nodded. "Fine, then we'll wait a while."
