53: Burial Valley of the Gods, where all religions gather
The nine dragon chariot traveled through the sea of clouds at an extreme speed, crossing the Eastern Domain in a single day and entering a completely different world.
The sky was an eerie dark red, the earth displayed a scorched black color, and the air was filled with an ancient, desolate, and murderous aura.
Giant skeletons were visible everywhere on the ground, some shaped like mountain ranges, left by unknown primordial Vicious Beasts.
There were also countless broken ancient weapons, which, despite enduring eons, still exuded a faint Evil Qi.
This was the Western Wasteland Domain, God Burial Valley.
Legend has it that in ancient times, this was once a battlefield for gods and demons, where more than one Mahayana Realm powerhouse bled, and even the Laws of heaven and earth were shattered, forming this current 絕地 (deadly ground).
"Such dense Evil Qi and resentment," Qing Linghe stopped playing her zither, her delicate brows slightly furrowed.
The aura of this place made her feel very uncomfortable.
"Not just that," Xiao Tiandu opened his eyes, his hand gripping the hilt of his sword tightening slightly, "This space is very unstable; it seems spatial rifts could appear at any moment."
The nine dragon chariot slowly lowered its altitude and entered the valley.
At this moment, God Burial Valley was no longer as silent as it once was.
Throughout the valley, banners fluttered, and precious light soared into the sky.
Magnificent flying boats and palaces floated in mid-air, belonging to different forces.
Powerful auras intertwined and clashed within the valley, making the atmosphere of this ancient battlefield even more oppressive.
Clearly, for the Taiyin Ancient Tomb, the elites of various great Dao traditions had already gathered here.
"Roar!" Nine black Dragons pulling a magnificent carriage descended from the sky, their terrifying Dragon might and overbearing presence instantly attracting the attention of everyone in the valley.
"Nine Dragons pulling a carriage? What a grand display! Which Dao tradition is this from?"
"Looking at the banner, it's Hongtian Holy Land from the Eastern Domain!"
"Hongtian Holy Land? Is that the one that recently produced a Prodigy Saint, who reportedly even caused the Emperor of the Tianyuan Divine Dynasty to suffer a great loss?"
"He's here!" In an instant, countless gazes, whether curious, scrutinizing, wary, or hostile, all simultaneously focused on the slowly descending nine dragon chariot.
Jiang Chen stood with his hands behind his back at the front of the carriage, his white robes as pure as snow, his expression indifferent.
Beside him, Nangong Mingyue's blue dress fluttered, her demeanor cool and ethereal.
Standing together, the two resembled a pair of divine partners, instantly becoming the focal point of the entire scene.
"Tsk tsk, truly the center of attention wherever we go," Wen Yan said, fanning himself.
Jiang Chen ignored the surrounding gazes. He simply swept his eyes around indifferently, then said to Wen Yan beside him, "Introduce me to the people who have arrived."
"Alright!" Wen Yan had been waiting for this. He cleared his throat, adopting the demeanor of a professional commentator, and pointed his fan.
"Saint, please look, those golden palaces to the east belong to the Tianyuan Divine Dynasty."
"The one at the head, wearing a golden python robe, with a prominent head and a 'I'm number one in the world' look, is Crown Prince of Tianyuan, Yuan Haotian. It is said he possesses the True Dragon Physique, and his strength is unfathomable. Among the younger generation, he has few rivals. Judging by his gaze, he's probably here to cause us trouble."
Jiang Chen looked in the direction he pointed. Yuan Haotian was indeed staring at him coldly, his eyes filled with undisguised arrogance and hostility.
Jiang Chen merely glanced at him before withdrawing his gaze.
Seeing this, Yuan Haotian's expression instantly darkened.
"The one next to him, tsk tsk, is a great beauty."
Wen Yan's fan turned to another spot, where a pink lotus throne floated, surrounded by a refreshing, exotic fragrance.
"That's Yu Meier, the Saintess of Joyful Union Sect. She possesses a naturally alluring Physique and cultivates a method of 'harvesting yang to supplement yin.' Ordinary Cultivators would find their Dao Heart unstable just by looking at her. However... this woman is not simple; I always feel she's hiding something else."
Jiang Chen's gaze fell upon Yu Meier. The other party also happened to look over, her peach blossom eyes swirling with allure, and she gave Jiang Chen a captivating smile.
Jiang Chen's heart stirred slightly; this woman's charm technique was truly remarkable.
"And over there."
Wen Yan's fan pointed to an inconspicuous corner, where there was only a young monk in a simple monastic robe, sitting cross-legged on a bluestone, twirling Buddhist beads. He had a solemn and dignified appearance, as if the surrounding commotion had nothing to do with him.
"That's Jing Xin, the chief Disciple of Ancient Temple Wuxiang Temple. This person possesses a Glazed Buddha Heart and profound Buddhist Dharma; he's not to be trifled with."
Jing Xin seemed to have noticed Jiang Chen's gaze. He slowly opened his eyes, clasped his hands together in Jiang Chen's direction, and nodded slightly, acknowledging him.
"People from Myriad Demon Cave have also arrived."
Wen Yan's tone became a little more solemn, "Do you see that guy radiating a bloody aura? His name is Ao Ya, a descendant of the ancient Dragon Clan, the seventh son of the Dragon Emperor. This guy is a pure madman, viewing the Human Race as blood food, brutal and bloodthirsty. His Physical Body is abnormally strong; it's said he can contend with Mahayana Realm Cultivators. We'd best stay away from him."
Jiang Chen looked at Ao Ya, who was sitting on a pile of giant skeletons, his figure burly, his upper body bare and covered in Dragon scale patterns.
He seemed to sense something too, and his vertical pupils swept over, his gaze full of brutality and contempt.
"The last one is the most dangerous."
Wen Yan's voice was extremely low, and his fan pointed to an area shrouded in black mist, which was eerily quiet, so much so that even light could barely penetrate it.
"The Young Lord of the Netherworld Demonic Cult, Mo Yuan. There aren't many rumors about him, only that he cultivates the Devouring Law. Everyone who has opposed him has ultimately vanished without a trace, not even their Divine Soul could be found. He gives me a... very dangerous feeling."
Within the black mist, a blurry figure seemed to stir. A pair of deep eyes pierced through the black mist, meeting Jiang Chen's gaze for a fleeting moment in the air.
Jiang Chen's left eye flashed with golden light, and his right eye swirled with Demonic Qi.
Mo Yuan in the black mist let out an inaudible gasp of surprise.
"This person is quite interesting," Jiang Chen's lips slowly curved into a smile.
The Joyful Union Sect demoness, the Imperial Dynasty Crown Prince, the Buddhist successor, the Yao Race madman, the Demonic Path magnate... this trip to the Taiyin Ancient Tomb, it seems, won't be boring.
"Find a place and wait for the Ancient Tomb to open," Jiang Chen withdrew his gaze and said indifferently.
The nine dragon chariot slowly descended and stopped on a hillside not too close to the various major forces.
Jiang Chen and his group disembarked from the flying boat and began to rest on their own, completely ignoring the unfriendly gazes around them.
This composure and calmness in itself was a silent deterrence.
Many second and third-rate forces who had originally intended to probe them quietly abandoned the idea upon seeing this scene.
However, there were always some people who couldn't see the situation clearly and couldn't control their eyes and mouths.
