10: Chapter 10 Dalton's Betrayal! The Armory Destroyed!
Qin Yang looked at the map, pondered for a moment, and said, "Here is the plan. Qin Yi, take a team and come with me! We are going to wipe out that so-called artillery company! Qin Er, you guys get ready to provide support! Let's finish them off in one go!"
"Yes!"
"Yes!"
Qin Yang, along with Qin Yi and ten soldiers, carried their weapons and crept toward Besserman's position from the side.
The two sides had not yet started fighting! They were still in the preparation phase. The general who had come here was named Bailey.
At this moment, Bailey was sitting in the main seat with a bold and unconstrained posture, holding a meeting with his subordinates. Calling it a meeting was a bit of a stretch; they were really just discussing which direction to attack from tomorrow.
They had a full three thousand men, while Dalton only had one thousand men defending! It looked like he was planning to abandon this oil field.
After all, for Dalton, this oil field was not absolutely essential. Besserman, however, had no way out.
Outside, Qin Yang looked at the temporary military camp before him and raised an eyebrow. Well, it seemed he had overestimated them.
Up until now, they hadn't even constructed a military defensive position! All the soldiers were still in a makeshift camp surrounded by a few simple bunkers.
"Good grief! Never mind wiping out the artillery company! I could even wipe out his command headquarters without any trouble!"
Qin Yang couldn't help but sigh. This Besserman really didn't learn his lesson. Were the people sent to face him all brain-dead?
Qin Yang made a hand gesture, indicating to wait until nightfall to sneak in. They would wipe out the armory first, then leave immediately.
While Qin Yang's side lay in wait, Dalton was starting to get anxious because a whole day had passed! Up to this point, he still hadn't received any news from Qin Yang.
The men he had sent out previously hadn't found Qin Yang's unit either, because Qin Yang's team was currently close to Bailey's camp and was completely outside their search range.
Night gradually fell, and two large searchlights in the camp lit up, while guard squads began their patrols.
Qin Yang waved his hand, and they crept through the darkness. After passing the searchlights, a ten-man squad appeared before them, chatting and laughing as they patrolled. They had no idea that the Grim Reaper had arrived.
"Swish!" Qin Yang's figure moved like a cheetah, instantly grabbing a soldier's head.
"Snap!" He twisted the soldier's head directly. He tossed the body aside casually. The soldiers behind only then reacted. Before they could even raise their guns, they found themselves losing control of their bodies. Their necks snapped, and they lost consciousness.
Qin Yang and his men were like ghosts in the darkness. In just over ten minutes, three squads had already died silently at their hands.
As they moved deeper, Qin Yang finally saw something different! A massive temporary warehouse! One look was enough to know it was used to store armaments.
Upon opening it, even Qin Yang was shocked! Good grief, wasn't it said that a team only had one Heavy Machine Gun? The quantity before his eyes was far more than that!
Furthermore, there were countless Rocket Launchers and nearly a hundred small mortars! If Qin Yang had actually tried to fight them head-on, he would have suffered heavy losses.
Qin Yi inspected the area and took out an object with an ugly expression on his face. "Boss! Look at this!"
Qin Yang narrowed his eyes, looking at the M2 Heavy Machine Gun in his hand. This Heavy Machine Gun was brand new! This meant it had not participated in any battles.
Yet, it appeared in the armory of an opposing warlord! This was interesting.
Qin Yang's eyes turned dangerous as he whispered, "Dalton! I really underestimated you! Who would have thought! You hid this so well!"
Qin Yi asked, "Boss! Should we continue the attack? Or should we go back and wipe out Dalton?"
A playful smile appeared on the corner of Qin Yang's mouth. "Attack! Why wouldn't we? He still owes us one million US dollars!"
"As mercenaries, we must be reasonable. If we take the money, we must do the job. As for Dalton, there will be plenty of time to deal with him later."
Qin Yang walked over to the weapons and collected the ones he had sold, putting them one by one into his own inventory.
"Dalton! You really went all out! You brought out half of the weapons you bought from me just to take me out?"
In fact, Qin Yang roughly knew why. It was likely that the faction behind Besserman had stepped in to orchestrate the two warlords into taking action against Qin Yang.
Besserman was at a dead end and had to obey, while Dalton was likely coveting his weapons. After all, Qin Yang had been able to produce weapons that made him envious with such ease back then.
"Get this place ready to be blown up," Qin Yang said indifferently.
Afterward, he walked out of the warehouse and scanned the darkness. On the other side, Qin Yi and his men began setting up, connecting Hand Grenades together using steel wire. Finally, they pulled a steel wire and tied it to a wooden stick.
The wooden stick was inserted into the ground. As soon as the stick fell, the grenades inside would instantly explode. At that point, the entire armory would be detonated.
Qin Yang led his men slowly out of the camp and arrived at the two searchlight positions at the entrance. This was the highest point and the only place where one could see the entire camp.
Qin Yang and Qin Yi exchanged a glance and began to climb. The two of them rushed up the five-meter-high watchtower in just three steps.
The soldier at the guard post heard the noise and just lowered his head to look. Qin Yang had already appeared right in front of him.
"Pfft!" Qin Yang held a dagger in one hand and pierced the soldier's throat directly. Blood began to gush from the wound and his mouth. Qin Yang gave a casual pull and tossed the body down.
On the other side, Qin Yi had also finished his fight. Qin Yang and Qin Yi simultaneously aimed the searchlights toward the direction of the armory.
This sudden action also made the other patrol squads in the camp alert.
"Hey! What happened? Respond!" The squad leader kept shouting into the walkie-talkie. Qin Yang paid no attention to the walkie-talkie at his feet; instead, he took his sniper rifle and aimed at the wooden stick.
"Bang!" A gunshot rang out. The soldiers sleeping inside the camp were instantly awakened. They didn't know how many nights they had been woken up by gunfire. They all started putting on their clothes and looking for their guns.
Bailey had just sat up and was about to curse when "Boom!" "Boom!"
Just then, a series of continuous explosions rang out in the camp, and the ground was shaken constantly by the blasts.
The entire camp was suddenly engulfed in flames. Everyone panicked and rushed out of their tents, only to discover a small mushroom cloud appearing above the camp.
The source of the explosion was their armory! Inside was all of their heavy weaponry. This meant they were left with nothing but the AK47s in their hands.
Bailey looked at the scene before him in disbelief. How high-spirited he had been when he set out! He had three thousand men, while the enemy was just a mercenary group of eleven! Wiping them out should have been easy, yet before the fight had even started, his armory had been wiped out?
"Boss! Our armory has been wiped out!" Bailey called Besserman, his voice trembling. He said this with a mournful face.
Besserman's pupils dilated, and he was rendered speechless by Bailey's words. He then roared, "Three thousand troops! Heavy Machine Guns, Rocket Launchers, and I even assigned you two artillery companies! Not a single shot was fired, and you're telling me the armory was wiped out?"
