Training base in the mountains

Zhang Kang nodded, gave a standard salute, and said, "Yes! Brother Chen!"

Ye Chen patted Zhang Kang on the shoulder and left under everyone's gaze.

Just as he stepped into the rain, Ye Chen directly purchased a rain cover from the Points Mall.

It wrapped everyone up.

This time, Ye Chen planned to take advantage of the rainy weather to go and check out the Azure Alliance's lair.

According to Zhang Kang and the others, the Azure Alliance's lair was right in the center of the county.

The former government building had now become the stronghold of the Azure Alliance.

After walking for over two hours, they finally arrived near the building; the Azure Alliance had now renamed this place Qing Fu!

From the outside, Qing Fu looked extremely solemn.

It was no longer possible to see what the government building used to look like.

It was now a mansion; although it was an office building, the exterior decoration and interior layout made it look exactly like a mansion from ancient times.

It seemed that the leader of the Azure Alliance was a somewhat nostalgic person.

Near Qing Fu, over a hundred Rank 10 Pet Masters were patrolling the surroundings.

Outside the main gate, there were even four Rank 12 Pet Masters standing guard.

Ye Chen arrived on top of the tallest building nearby and leaned over to look down at Qing Fu.

Qing Fu covered an area of over a hundred mu, divided into five courtyards: East, West, South, North, and Center.

The entire mansion was lush and green, with flowers, trees, and ponds everywhere.

The East Courtyard was the most luxurious, and there were many young, beautiful women sitting under the eaves of the courtyard.

They were either chatting or playing cards.

It appeared that the East Courtyard was where the leader of the Azure Alliance resided, while the other three courtyards seemed a bit quieter.

The Central Courtyard was the former government building, with people coming and going, though it was unclear what they were doing.

The Azure Alliance's headquarters had fairly strict defenses, and its combat strength was not weak either.

If Ye Chen wanted to force his way in, he would need to increase his Rank further.

As such, he would need to hunt down more members of the Azure Alliance.

Ye Chen said in a low voice, "Let's go."

Zhu Qiang asked blankly, "We're just leaving like this?"

Ye Chen rolled his eyes at Zhu Qiang and said, "What else?"

Zhu Qiang made an "oh" sound, followed Ye Chen's footsteps, and left the county center.

Arriving at Qing County People's Park, Lin Nuoyi asked, "Ye Chen, where are we going now?"

Ye Chen did not hesitate at all and said, "To the Qing County Military Base!"

"Military Base?"

Yu Nian was also startled and said, "What are we going there for?"

A mysterious smile appeared on the corner of Ye Chen's mouth as he said, "Naturally, there's serious business. Follow me!"

Several people hurriedly followed.

Qing County was quite famous in the Seventh Area.

Because it had a very large Military Base; calling it a Military Base would be better described as an army barracks.

People from the Seventh Area and the two surrounding areas came here in large numbers every year to fulfill their military dreams.

But now, it had become the territory of the Azure Alliance.

Before Poison Scorpion left, he had sent Ye Chen a message.

The Azure Alliance had captured many seventeen-year-old youths and were conducting secret training here.

Even the Law Enforcement Alliance did not know about this.

Their purpose in training these youths was for them to become their reserve force in the future.

They brainwashed these youths every day, making them the suicide squad of the Azure Alliance.

When they turned eighteen, they would be made to summon their pets.

If their Rank was high, they would be kept and trained to become the backbone of the Azure Alliance in the future.

Those with a low Rank would become dead soldiers; in reality, they were just cannon fodder.

What Ye Chen wanted to do was snatch these people back from the Azure Alliance, let them regain their freedom, and grow naturally.

Instead of becoming a war machine for the Azure Alliance.

Another three hours passed; it was already twelve noon.

The rain was still falling pitter-patter without stopping.

Ye Chen and the five others had already arrived near the Military Base; the entire Military Base was inside the mountains.

Qing County had many mountains, and the Taiping Mountains ran through the entire county.

The Taiping Mountains.

At the foot of the mountain.

Ye Chen gazed at a cave that could accommodate two large trucks entering simultaneously.

There were five Rank 10 Pet Masters guarding outside the cave; the guard here was not strict, as, after all, no one would come to this godforsaken place.

Leaving Pet Masters here was merely to resist monsters that might suddenly appear.

Ye Chen gave a look to the King Kong Ape and Blood Asura, and both nodded to indicate they understood.

In the blink of an eye, Blood Asura had arrived in front of the five.

The five pets were lying on the ground; just as they sensed danger, Blood Asura had already taken care of two people, and the remaining three pets immediately lunged at Blood Asura.

Just as they lunged, a golden staff shadow appeared.

The King Kong Ape, holding the extremely long Ding Tian Divine Staff, intercepted the three pets in mid-air.

Blood Asura also took this opportunity to take care of the remaining three people; if one could launch a sneak attack, why engage in a head-on confrontation?

Ye Chen led the group forward and walked into the cave.

The cave was wide and high; usually, there would be no problem for two large trucks to pass side-by-side.

On the map provided by Poison Scorpion, Ye Chen could see that this mountain was the widest.

And this Military Base was inside the mountain.

After Ye Chen and the others walked for over ten minutes, they saw a patch of light ahead.

That must be the Military Base.

The five of them slowly slowed their pace and walked quietly inside.

When they reached an open area, they could clearly see the scene inside.

It was very spacious, as large as five football fields.

Looking at the slope of the mountain cliffs, it was not artificially developed in the Acquired stage, but naturally formed.

It was just slightly processed by people later on.

The inside of the cave was a hundred meters high.

There were many buildings inside, and many places had clearly just been processed and built.

It seemed that the Azure Alliance had indeed carried out some renovations in the Late Stage.

One could see that on the open square, thousands of youths were undergoing training.

However, they were all boys; there was not a single girl.

Lin Nuoyi used her black and yellow tentacles to probe the information of the Azure Alliance personnel inside.

She said in a low voice, "There are 40 Azure Alliance members in total, three are Rank 12, and the rest are all Rank 10. There aren't many people."

It was about the same as what Ye Chen had guessed.

After all, since they were training youths without pets, there naturally wouldn't be a need for so many personnel to guard them.

The highest combat strength was only three Rank 12s; Blood Asura and Ye Chen were enough.

As for the remaining thirty-plus Rank 10 Pet Masters, it would be manageable to leave them to be stalled by Lin Nuoyi and the others.

Ye Chen waved his hand and said, "Let's go."

Yu Nian suddenly frowned and said, "Wait, what about these children? Are we going to kill those Azure Alliance members in front of these children?"

Ye Chen stood there; he had almost forgotten about this.

These youths were all people brainwashed by the Azure Alliance; if they forced the Azure Alliance's Pet Masters into a desperate situation, it was inevitable that they might make these youths go berserk.

If they were so reckless, they might lose more than they gained.

Ye Chen searched through the Points Mall to see if there was anything he needed.

Before long, Ye Chen found an item called Hallucinogen.

This kind of thing was only effective on ordinary people and could make them fall into a coma within three seconds.

One bottle only cost one point, so Ye Chen directly exchanged for ten bottles.
