103: My Lord, you are my God (asking for monthly ticket)

Golden light intertwined, and individual small characters of “Chen Yuan” gradually condensed into a human figure.

Without facial features, the golden phantom still exuded a heart-pounding Divine Might.

Gongsun Yang’s eyes were filled with disbelief, and he stood up from his chair with a “whoosh.”

“How is this possible?”

“It’s already done?”

“This book of mine was just written, and it hasn’t even reached the stage of ‘ 鄉聞’ ( 鄉聞 - a local reputation), so how could it…” He was first incredulous, then so excited that he stammered.

The Storyteller lineage has a very unique Cultivation method. This side branch of theirs travels in all directions, experiencing different people and events, writing books and scrolls, and spreading the deeds of people they believe have great potential.

When people see or hear these stories, they imagine the characters within the book, and through spiritual resonance, this generates incense, or rather, human Luck, deifying the characters in the book in some way and concretizing them according to their own thoughts.

In short, they, the Storytellers, spread the stories of extraordinary and talented individuals far and wide, creating “gods.” Then, the books written by these Storytellers naturally acquire incredible power, which in turn nourishes themselves.

And according to the stories they write, and the extent of their spread, they are categorized into Xiangwen ( 鄉聞 - a local reputation), Xiandong ( 縣動 - moving the county), Mingzhou ( 鳴州 - renown in the prefecture), and so on…

Xiangwen and Xiandong generally only cause the scriptures to produce some spiritual effects, such as being able to borrow some of the techniques used by the characters in the book.

However, to condense the spiritual body of a character from the book, it at least requires Mingzhou. At this point, the characters in the book begin to take on a concrete form, possessing incredible Divine Abilities. They can acquire three-tenths of the true form of the main body, and the Storyteller himself can invite the spiritual body to possess him and unleash great Divine Might.

The more powerful the character he writes about, the more extraordinary it becomes.

Of course, this Cultivation method, while sounding extraordinary, has many restrictions.

First, of course, is the person—only those with the potential of a Dragon have a chance.

Second is the right time, place, and human harmony.

This relates to the Luck of the character he writes about, and also to his own Luck!

Gongsun Yang has traveled the Jianghu for over thirty years, documenting the lives of hundreds of characters, yet only one of his books has condensed a spiritual body and reached the Mingzhou level.

Therefore, even at the age of destiny, he remains only at Body Profound Major Achievement.

Now, he had only been writing “the pacification of demons” for three days, and it had already condensed a spiritual body. How could he not be surprised and excited?

At this moment, he felt his Bottleneck, which had not moved for many years, subtly beginning to loosen, and his expression immediately brightened with joy.

Looking at the spiritual body before him, Gongsun Yang felt that everything was destined by heaven, and he quickly cupped his fists and bowed.

“This old man thanks the Lord first!”

“I will certainly visit to express my gratitude another day!”

In his heart, he thought that he was determined to latch onto this powerful figure.

After speaking, he recited an incantation, drawing the golden figure into “the pacification of demons,” then left the inn and hurried out of the city to peacefully Breakthrough to Perfection.

And just as this Storyteller was rushing out of the city to Breakthrough, in Jiazi Alley, in that small courtyard, Chen Yuan was sitting cross-legged on the bed, his eyes closed.

Around him, golden light flickered, illuminating the space beneath the bed curtains with a bright, scorching glow.

Across from him, a woman in a purple gauze dress with delicate features had her eyes closed and brows furrowed, her forehead tightly creased, and her peach-colored lips occasionally parted to emit a soft hum.

At this moment, tiny, glistening beads of sweat appeared on her forehead, and her gauze dress was soaked, tightly clinging to her body, accentuating her curves.

Suddenly, the woman let out a muffled groan.

At this point, a golden light shot out from Chen Yuan’s brow and entered the woman’s body.

The woman’s body trembled violently.

The next second, Fang Qingzhu opened her eyes, feeling as though her entire body was on the verge of collapse, yet her light purple eyes were incredibly bright.

At this moment, her Divine Soul felt incredibly light, her Heart Demon injuries completely gone, giving her a feeling of floating.

She looked at Chen Yuan, who had also opened his eyes, and a smile touched her lips.

“Thank you, Brother Chen. I never imagined your great sun would be so formidable.”

“All things have their natural counteractions. The Cultivation Technique I Cultivate happens to have a restraining effect on these Devil Heads,” Chen Yuan said, then looked at her appearance, finding it somewhat inappropriate. His gaze gently shifted upwards as he offered a reminder.

“Miss Fang looks very tired. Perhaps you should go wash up first.”

Fang Qingzhu indeed felt sticky all over. She blinked her eyelashes and nodded.

As she prepared to stand up, she suddenly felt something was amiss.

“Brother Chen, what’s wrong with your voice? Are you feeling unwell?”

Chen Yuan was somewhat puzzled, not knowing why she said that.

“Is there a problem?”

As soon as he spoke, he realized that there was a tremor in his voice when he talked.

His voice sounded somewhat sharp and high-pitched.

“It’s nothing. I suppose I expended some mental energy helping Miss heal,” he said, not paying it much mind.

Fang Qingzhu nodded and then went out towards the backyard.

Chen Yuan also got up and off the bed.

Outside, it was already bright. Healing Fang Qingzhu’s hidden injuries was done in two sessions, taking approximately five or six hours in total.

He calculated the time in his mind, wondering if Qin Hu should have arrived, when suddenly, he seemed to remember something.

Yesterday, his Mind’s Eye had entered Fang Qingzhu’s Niwan Palace to heal her injuries, and it seemed his own Niwan Palace had stirred, but he hadn’t had time to investigate.

He closed his eyes again, and after a while, he opened them, a cold light flickering, and he frowned.

He had gained a portion of Luck from slaying a human Devil Head.

He had a vague suspicion and couldn’t help but furrow his brows.

Could Qin Hu have met with an accident?

At this moment, his gaze suddenly shot towards the window, discovering two small shadowy figures lurking suspiciously by the window.

He reached out, swept, and grabbed.

The window burst open with a bang, and the two furry creatures shrieked, preparing to make a quick escape.

However, they jumped mid-air and were snatched back, squeezed through the window crack, and caught by Chen Yuan, one in each hand.

“You two little rascals are…”

Chen Yuan’s voice trailed off as he spoke, his face suddenly frozen in a daze.

And the two little creatures, as if they had seen a ghost, their eyes wide and rolling, stared at Chen Yuan.

Why was the adult’s voice so high-pitched?

How to describe it? It was like a woman’s voice; he just needed to make a delicate orchid-finger gesture.

Chen Yuan had clearly also discovered this problem.

This was obviously unusual.

Had his Cultivation gone wrong somehow?

It shouldn’t have.

His Mind’s Eye moved through his body, finding no problems. At this moment, silver light suddenly burst from his eyes as he activated his Mind’s Eye Divine Ability.

The next second, the silver light in his eyes intensified, and his expression became strange.

In his Mind’s Eye, he actually saw wisps of tiny white Qi, surrounded by fragmented golden light, gathering around him.

This thing vaguely had the aura of incense, yet it wasn’t quite like it.

What was this?

Chen Yuan used his Mind’s Eye Divine Ability to fixate on one wisp, and suddenly he felt something, his gaze sharply shooting towards the outskirts of Qing Shan City.

Then, he threw the two little creatures onto the window, and his own figure blurred in the Void Realm, disappearing.

A few minutes later, Fang Qingzhu emerged from the backyard.

At this time, she was like a lotus emerging from clear water, with un-dried water droplets still on her face, like morning dew.

She scanned around, searching for Chen Yuan’s shadow, but only saw two chattering little creatures on the window.

“Where’s your adult?” she asked.

“Chirp chirp.”

“Chirp, chirp, chirp, chirp.”

The Little Squirrel was the first to step forward, using its two furry paws to gesticulate, its backside wiggling.

Fang Qingzhu’s face quickly showed a trace of astonishment.

“Are you saying your adult turned into a woman?”

“Thwack!”

The White Fox quickly slapped the Little Squirrel off the window with a paw.
