330: Qianjinfang and Qunfangge!

Li Shengyuan settled Chu Chunqiu and Song Zhen in adjacent guest courtyards to rest for a while.

In the afternoon, he proposed taking his two Senior Brothers for a stroll around Holy Dragon City.

"Holy Dragon City gathers ten thousand races and has a unique atmosphere, quite different from the Human Race. Since you've just arrived, Senior Brother, it's the perfect time to experience it."

Li Shengyuan smiled while taking out several Magical Artifacts with concealment and minor illusion effects. "However, the city is currently a mix of dragons and snakes. I'm somewhat of a celebrity now, so to avoid causing a commotion, it's better if we disguise ourselves a bit."

Chu Chunqiu agreed wholeheartedly; he didn't mind either way, as drinking and watching the excitement low-key was best.

Song Zhen also had no objections.

The three of them disguised themselves slightly, restraining their obvious Human Race Cultivator auras and transforming into ordinary Yao Cultivators before blending into the bustling streets of Holy Dragon City.

It was indeed Chu Chunqiu's first time here. Looking at the rows of strange buildings and the bizarre pedestrians of various races, his eyes could hardly take it all in.

He held a wine gourd, taking a swig from time to time, his face turning bright red as he marveled at the sights.

"Tsk tsk, how was this house built? It's like an upside-down giant bowl!"

"Hey! Is that a Stone Giant? The ground shakes when it walks!"

"Look over there, the ones with wings! Are they from the Feather Race?"

"The fragrance in the air... it's spiritual wine! Junior Brother, quick, find out where the tavern is!"

He was full of curiosity about everything, especially wine.

Before they had gone far, he followed the scent of wine into a large brewery with a sign that read "Hundred Races Brew," grandly asking to taste all their signature spiritual wines.

From the "Volcano Roar" of the Blazing Gorilla Tribe to the "Silver Moon Dew" of the Moonlight Elves, he drank to his heart's content, his face becoming increasingly ruddy.

Getting high on the alcohol, Chu Chunqiu leaned in close to Li Shengyuan, winking and lowering his voice, "Li Shengyuan, just drinking is boring."

"You've been here for a while too. I heard the Demon Domain has... some special local customs, like those Fox Girls and Cat Girls, with their soft, charming voices and graceful dances..."

"And those women from the Elf Race, each one as exquisite as a jade carving... Hehe, you understand. It's a rare visit, so why don't we..."

Li Shengyuan didn't know whether to laugh or cry upon hearing this.

This Senior Brother was still as informal as ever.

It was a good thing Ye Hangzhou hadn't come along, or he would've been dragged along to carouse; that guy definitely wouldn't be able to stand it.

It didn't matter for himself, and Little Junior Brother Song Zhen was fine too—after all, he was a gambler himself.

Although Li Shengyuan had never set foot in such places and Long Yun had never taken him there, since he was taking Chu Chunqiu to experience the local customs, he couldn't let him down.

He glanced at Song Zhen, who was also looking around curiously, and with a slight stir in his heart, he nodded and smiled:

"Since Senior Brother has such an interest, then let's go see for ourselves. I've heard that Holy Dragon City has a place called 'Pavilion of Many Beauties,' which is said to gather talents from all races, and its various fine wines and delicacies are quite famous."

Song Zhen wasn't very interested in listening to music or watching dances; he was more concerned about something else.

Seeing his Senior Brother and older brother discussing going to a place of entertainment, he couldn't help but tug on Li Shengyuan's sleeve and ask in a low voice:

"Brother Li, is there... a casino in this Demon Domain? You know, I haven't touched dice in a long time, and my hands are really itching."

Li Shengyuan was slightly stunned, then remembered Song Zhen's peculiar "gambling Luck," which could exchange his own money for others' Luck.

His mind raced. Looking at Song Zhen's expectant eyes and thinking about the various Yao Kings, Cave Lords, and their followers currently gathered in Holy Dragon City—where there would surely be a mix of good and bad, perhaps even hidden agents of the Demonic Cult—if Song Zhen could "play" a few rounds in a place like a casino where all sorts of people gathered, there might be unexpected gains.

A glint flashed in his eyes, but his smile remained unchanged as he patted Song Zhen's shoulder:

"The Yao Race is bold, and many are fond of fighting and betting. Naturally, there are casinos, and they are quite large with novel ways to play."

"Since Junior Brother Song's hands are itching, why don't we go to 'Thousand Gold Workshop' first, and then to 'Pavilion of Many Beauties' to listen to music? How about that?"

"Brother Li, you're so nice! Unlike Senior Brother, who's always controlling me and won't let me gamble!" Song Zhen immediately beamed with joy.

When Chu Chunqiu heard that Song Zhen wanted to gamble, he was instantly terrified.

Every time he walked with this Little Junior Brother after he finished gambling, all sorts of bad things would happen!

Even having a Second-Grade cultivation was useless; when bad Luck struck, it struck regardless.

Chu Chunqiu showed a rare expression of fear and waved his hands repeatedly. "Li Shengyuan, I won't go gambling with you guys. Just tell me where it is, and I'll go by myself. You guys just enjoy your gambling."

"Don't be in a hurry, Senior Brother. Both are in the same place and on the way. Let's go together!" Li Shengyuan laughingly pulled back the retreating Chu Chunqiu.

Song Zhen curled his lip. "It's just going for a couple of rounds of gambling. Isn't Senior Brother being too cowardly..."

"Fine, fine then..." Chu Chunqiu nodded helplessly.

"But let me state this first: you go to your gambling den, and I'll go to my Pavilion of Many Beauties!"

On the way, Song Zhen watched Chu Chunqiu, who was enthusiastically observing his surroundings and curious about everything, and couldn't help but mutter in a low voice:

"Senior Brother, didn't you come to Holy Dragon City with Teacher Chancellor before? Why does it feel like... you're seeing everything for the first time?"

Chu Chunqiu, who was tilting his head back to drink, choked upon hearing this. His face, already red from the wine, showed no change, but he coughed a few times and said vaguely:

"Cough, cough... That... that was an old story from decades ago. You weren't even a speck of dust back then."

"Your Senior Brother, I, am occupied with a myriad of affairs and worry about the great matters of the world. How could I remember such small things so clearly? I forgot long ago! This Holy Dragon City has developed quite fast; it's like coming here for the first time. It's fresh, understand?"

Song Zhen blinked, looking at his Senior Brother's somewhat guilty expression, and nodded as if he half-understood:

"Oh... So it was a long time ago and you forgot."

Li Shengyuan listened from the side, the corners of his mouth curling up slightly, but he didn't expose him.
