250: A continent dominated by fierce beasts!

With that, Xia Fan, along with the Black Dragon King and Magic Cat, once again activated Void Traversing, intending to head directly to the Tropical Continent.

After the first Void Traversing, the Black Dragon King exclaimed repeatedly, "Your Majesty's methods are truly extraordinary! Few powerful individuals can, like Your Majesty, traverse countless miles in an instant. This is truly an emperor's technique."

"No wonder Your Majesty is so powerful!"

Facing his flattery, Xia Fan did not show much reaction, merely performing Void Traversing again and again.

During the intervals between two Void Traversings, he would ride the Black Dragon King and continue their journey, wasting virtually no time.

At Xia Fan's speed, it took only two days to reach the Tropical Continent and even delve ten thousand miles deep into the continent.

Even before the great changes in heaven and earth and the spiritual energy's recovery, this Tropical Continent was relatively backward.

Especially in terms of technology, it lagged many years behind other continents, and there were still many primitive tribes on this continent.

Large numbers of fierce beasts roamed the Tropical Continent, and every year countless humans died in their jaws.

Now, a considerable amount of time had passed since the great changes in heaven and earth, and it was unknown what the situation on this continent was like.

Along the way, Xia Fan's gaze occasionally fell to the ground, but he encountered almost no large human settlements. Even when he did see human figures, they were all scattered.

"This place... is truly primitive and chaotic."

When the Magic Cat saw that some humans had even become slaves to fierce beasts, he immediately exclaimed, "This situation has never been seen anywhere else."

"On other continents, even if humans were weaker than fierce beasts, they were followers or collaborators, not like on the Tropical Continent, where humans are treated as slaves."

"However, there are too many fierce beasts here!"

Soon after, the Magic Cat saw some humans being centrally managed by fierce beasts, and every now and then, humans would even be seized by fierce beasts to serve as blood sacrifices. The scene made one frown.

Even Xia Fan couldn't help but feel a sense of revulsion.

"The human race here seems even weaker than the human race in the Xi'ou region!"

In the sky, the Black Dragon King couldn't help but click his tongue as he witnessed these scenes.

Although the fierce beasts in the Xi'ou region were stronger than humans, they wouldn't bully them like this, because sometimes humans could still produce one or two promising cultivators who posed a threat to the fierce beasts.

But on this Tropical Continent, the fierce beasts had completely become the masters of the land. Humans had no dignity or freedom whatsoever here, living extremely humble and miserable lives.

A short while later, the Black Dragon King casually grabbed a fifth-tier peak Golden Lion.

This Golden Lion trembled before Xia Fan and the Black Dragon King, "Two... two great kings, do you have anything you wish to ask?"

"You're quite clever."

The Black Dragon King chuckled, glanced at Xia Fan, and seeing him nod, continued, "Let me ask you, have you seen a Werewolf in this vicinity in the past two days?"

"That Werewolf is easy to recognize; at a glance, he is a king among Werewolves. Answer me honestly!"

Hearing this, the Golden Lion nodded repeatedly, and after careful thought, answered seriously, "I have seen him!"

"That Werewolf King seemed to be in a great hurry about something, speeding along the entire way, and he headed south."

"He just left two days ago!"

The Black Dragon King was about to claim credit from Xia Fan, but then he heard Xia Fan ask from the side, "You should know that there will be a sacred fruit ripening on this continent soon. Where does that sacred fruit grow?"

The Golden Lion thought to himself that there were many spiritual fruits on this continent, but a spiritual fruit capable of attracting the attention of powerful individuals must naturally be extraordinary, which made the number of such fruits very rare.

Finally, his eyes lit up, and he said to Xia Fan and the Black Dragon King, "The sacred fruit that the two great kings desire is in the Golden Fruit region."

"I believe that Werewolf King also headed there for that sacred fruit. If the two great kings depart now, you might still catch up."

"Golden Fruit region?"

Xia Fan had heard of this place, but had never been there.

The Tropical Continent had not changed much since the great changes in heaven and earth, so the location of the Golden Fruit remained in its original place, without much alteration. He then continued on his journey.

After all, the Golden Fruit was still a long distance from their current location.

"I hope... I can arrive there before the Werewolf King gets his hands on it."

Thinking this, Xia Fan directly activated Void Traversing, taking the Black Dragon King and Magic Cat to the Golden Fruit region. Along the way, he also had the Black Dragon King speed up his flight, so as not to miss... the Golden Fruit.

At the place where the sacred fruit grows, there is an extremely massive Stone City, standing prominently amidst the forest.

And the ruler of this Stone City is a giant, bipedal army ant.

This army ant is nearly a hundred meters tall, with a reddish-brown exoskeleton resembling uncooled magma, forged into a perfectly fitting suit of armor.

The army ant's extremely slender yet exceptionally tough and sharp three pairs of leg joints dragged its round body across the ground. Its massive head occupied almost one-third of its body length.

On its head were a pair of huge and sharp mandibles, which now snapped open and shut, emitting a chilling glint.

Before the great changes in heaven and earth, army ants, a massive species with billions in number, also underwent many mutations. After mutating, they gained sentience, and through survival of the fittest and mutual devouring, they eventually created this extremely terrifying Ant King.

This situation could only occur in a place like the Tropical Continent, because in other regions, these ants would be eliminated by humans or even invaded by fierce beasts and used as a source of protein before they could grow strong.

Only in the unique geographical environment of the Tropical Continent could the Ant King safely grow and build its own royal city.

At this moment, an army ant scurried to the Ant King, looking very flustered, "Your Majesty, Your Majesty, the news of the sacred fruit has leaked!"

"Our children scattered everywhere have seen many powerful fierce beasts heading to the spiritual fruit's growing place during this time!"

"If we don't do something soon, I'm afraid that spiritual fruit will be snatched away!"

Hearing this, the Ant King immediately let out a disdainful sneer, then softly said, "No matter!"

"What's there to worry about?"

As he spoke, he looked in the direction where the spiritual fruit grew, "Those useless creatures, do they also want to compete with this King for the spiritual fruit?"

"Heh heh, they truly overestimate themselves!"

The Ant King possessed unprecedented confidence.

After all, he had never encountered an opponent in this area!
