207: Try it out
The six Golden Core Stage Cultivators who had pursued him quietly surrounded Gu Changan.
Everyone began to size up Gu Changan's attire.
They saw Gu Changan wearing a Magic Treasure-level robe, with a top-grade thousand soul banner hovering above his head.
Four Ghost Generals stood guard around him.
They all judged Gu Changan to be worth a fortune; those two Magic Treasures on the surface alone were enough for them to take action!
Not to mention the resources inside his Storage Pouch.
They had received word that this fellow was personally seen off by the shopkeeper of the Treasure Pavilion.
Would the shopkeeper of the Treasure Pavilion welcome someone with such a smile if the transaction wasn't worth several million Spirit Stones?
The shopkeepers of the Treasure Pavilion were all snobs!
However, their only concern was whether the fellow had a powerful background.
But appearing alone in the wilderness without even a single subordinate?
He was likely just a lone wolf; even if he had a background, it probably wasn't very strong!
Thus, there was nothing to worry about.
The six Golden Core Stage Cultivators exchanged glances, each somewhat wary of the others.
One Loose Cultivator in Black Robes spoke up directly: "You lot watch out!"
"Don't damage these Ghost Generals. After he's dead, this top-grade thousand soul banner belongs to me!"
"I'm already at the Golden Core Stage, yet I still don't have a top-grade thousand soul banner!"
As he spoke, he pulled a Medium Grade thousand soul banner from his back, and with a flick, ten Golden Core Stage Ghost Generals appeared.
A Red-robed Cultivator with a monkey-like face nearby was about to object.
After all, who knew whose hands the prize would fall into yet?
Claiming the Magical Artifact already?
But seeing the Cultivator in Black Robes release ten Golden Core Stage Ghost Generals, he silently shut his mouth.
The other five Golden Core Stage Cultivators instinctively regarded the Ghost Cultivator in black as a formidable rival.
After all, his ten Golden Core Stage Ghost Generals could wipe everyone out.
Everyone instinctively moved a bit further away.
Gu Changan's Divine Sense swept over them; the three on the left were Evil Cultivators, including two Blood Cultivators in red Daoist robes.
One of them was only an Early Golden Core Stage, yet he dared to be a Bandit Cultivator?
The other one was the Ghost Cultivator with the ten Golden Core Stage Ghost Generals!
The three on the right were Righteous Path Cultivators; the one in front was in white robes, and the one to the left was in purple.
The one on the far right was a Green-Robed Cultivator; it was impossible to tell what their methods were!
Gu Changan was on high alert, just about to strike first.
The Golden Core Stage Cultivator in white robes threw out a Flying Sword.
"Fellow Daoist, will you surrender without a fight?"
"After all, weapons have no eyes. It would be a pity to tear the robe you're wearing!"
Gu Changan was furious. They were here to rob him, yet they still maintained such a haughty attitude?
Who were they trying to impress?
They wanted to kill him but told him to be prepared so they wouldn't damage their loot?
He had previously been overwhelmed by the variety of Magic Treasures and Magical Artifacts, but this time he would directly use the strongest Sword Pellet to shatter everything!
His Divine Thought sank into his Dantian: "Soul Slasher, target that Ghost Cultivator in a moment. Don't give him a chance to act."
The gray Sword Pellet trembled slightly in his Dantian and replied, "Understood, Master!"
"Just watch!"
Gu Changan held two top-grade thunderclap pellets in his right hand, and after activating them, he threw them directly to the right.
They enveloped those three Righteous Path Cultivators, separating the two sides of the battle.
Then he pointed at the Ghost Cultivator in black and shouted, "Soul Slasher!"
The Ghost Cultivator in black panicked, fearing Gu Changan might throw two more thunder shock talismans.
If he did, his Ghost Generals would be crippled if not killed. Hearing the words "Soul Slasher," he thought it was a Divine Soul attack.
He hurriedly surged his Spirit Qi into his shield.
Hoping it would be of some use.
To his surprise, a gray light flashed, and a bloody hole appeared on the forehead of the Ghost Cultivator in black.
The hole was about the size of a quail egg!
Without any resistance at all, his head was directly pierced through.
Gu Changan was also a bit stunned; he hadn't expected the Sword Pellet to be so effective!
And so sharp, piercing through a shield and then a head.
At this moment, the five Golden Core Stage Cultivators were all terrified!
After all, in a six-on-one fight, one of them was instantly killed. Who could stand that?
The Early Golden Core Stage Blood Cultivator on the far left was trembling all over.
"Sorry, my mistake!"
As he spoke, he prepared to pick up the top-grade thousand soul banner from the Ghost Cultivator's hand and flee.
Gu Changan's mouth twitched. Even while running away, he didn't forget the treasure?
He shouted directly, "Xiao Hei, watch them!"
"I'll leave those two to you!"
The top-grade thousand soul banner above his head slowly expanded, looming over the two Evil Cultivators.
Four Ghost Generals charged forward, two for each of them.
The two shouted, "A top-grade Spiritual Artifact thousand soul banner?"
The envy in their eyes could not be concealed, followed by greed mixed with a hint of fear.
In the end, greed won out.
Both turned back to attack, clashing with the four Ghost Generals.
On the other side, the three Righteous Path Cultivators were all covered by the lightning range of the thunder shock talismans.
They all raised shields, waiting for the lightning to dissipate.
When they saw Gu Changan kill the Ghost Cultivator in an instant with the Sword Pellet, the white-robed Cultivator's eyes lit up.
"A Sword Pellet?"
"The Sword Pellet I've been yearning for?"
"Fellow Daoist! As long as you give that Sword Pellet to me, I will leave immediately."
He looked at Gu Changan with eyes full of expectation.
Gu Changan thought to himself, Is this guy some kind of idiot?
Asking for someone's weapon in the middle of a fight?
He'd leave once he got it, but what about the others?
Was he supposed to just stand there and wait to die?
He responded with a gray sword glow.
The white-robed Cultivator turned out to be a Sword Cultivator; he controlled the Flying Sword in his hand to collide with the Sword Pellet in the sky.
The Sword Pellet split into two, arcing around from both sides.
Its trajectory changed, passing by both sides of the white-robed Cultivator before merging again behind him.
It changed trajectory once more, stabbing toward the white-robed Cultivator.
Feeling the Sword Qi behind him, the white-robed Cultivator dodged hurriedly, but his shield was still slashed open.
Finally, it collided with the white-robed Cultivator's Flying Sword, its trajectory changing once again.
The white-robed Cultivator shouted excitedly, "This Sword Pellet has developed intelligence!"
After the excitement came a bit of disappointment; the Sword Pellet had developed intelligence.
This meant the Sword Pellet had already recognized a master; even if he seized it, he wouldn't be able to use it as easily as his own limbs.
At this thought, the white-robed Cultivator's eyes filled with resentment as he barked at Gu Changan.
"You're looking for death!"
He wanted to vent all his anger and frustration on Gu Changan.
But someone was faster than him; the purple-robed Cultivator beside him seized the opportunity and performed a hand seal: "Thunderbolt!"
A bolt of lightning out of the blue, as thick as a thumb, descended from the sky and struck Gu Changan.
However, it was channeled into the ground by the earth fetal membrane on Gu Changan's body.
As a result, Gu Changan was completely unharmed!
The white-robed Cultivator was tied down by the Sword Pellet, its fierce attacks leaving him overwhelmed.
He had no time at all to deal with Gu Changan!
The Green-Robed Cultivator on the far right took out a fan made of white feathers.
With a wave toward Gu Changan, a fierce wind suddenly rose.
Gu Changan was like a radish rooted in the ground, remaining motionless in the wind.
The earth fetal membrane continuously absorbed the Earth Qi from below to replenish the shield's consumption.
Gu Changan saw that "Soul Slasher" was being stubborn and felt a bit frustrated.
"Kill the others first!"
