39: Ten years later

After dinner.

Di Yan, drained of the last bit of her strength, lay sprawled on her back on the bed, limbs outstretched.

Just then, the door was pushed open.

Still a child at heart, Di Yan thought of her Revered Master's stern scolding during the day. With a hint of defiance, she turned onto her side, pretending to be asleep.

From behind her came the sound of rippling water.

'Xiao Yan, take your clothes off!'

Now, Di Yan couldn't keep up the pretense of sleep. She turned her head to look and saw a large wooden tub placed in the room, filled with a pale green, mysterious liquid. A rich aroma of medicinal herbs wafted towards her.

Just one whiff made her feel her physical fatigue recede a little.

'Revered Master, what is this for?'

'Never mind that. Hurry up and take your clothes off. The effect won't be as good once it cools!' Su Quan urged.

'Oh!'

Di Yan obediently began to undress.

Soon, a thin, pale, youthful body was exposed to the air. Perhaps feeling a chill, she covered her chest with her hands, appearing somewhat bashful.

Su Quan paid no attention to this.

He grabbed her by the neck as if picking up a chick and tossed her directly into the tub.

'Ouch!'

Di Yan cried out in surprise.

An intense warmth enveloped her. Every pore opened in delight as the pure medicinal potency surged into her body, repairing her injuries while simultaneously nourishing her flesh, blood, and bones.

It was an indescribable comfort.

Di Yan narrowed her beautiful eyes in enjoyment.

But soon, she opened her eyes in alarm, feeling a pair of warm, large hands moving over her delicate body.

'Relax. Your Revered Master is massaging your bones. Otherwise, the medicinal potency won't penetrate deeply, and it would be a shame to leave hidden problems behind.'

Su Quan lightly patted the girl's back, which had tensed up from nervousness.

A tempting blush spread across Di Yan's small face, reaching all the way to her earlobes.

Though young, she knew there was a distinction between women and men. A sense of shyness welled up in her heart. She wanted to protect her key areas but ultimately gave in, allowing her Revered Master to proceed.

Su Quan had no idea the little girl harbored so many thoughts.

In his eyes, the little girl was like his own daughter; he had no other improper thoughts whatsoever.

Fully focused and meticulous, he followed the special technique from the memories of the Burial Heaven Demon Lord. The strength and rhythm of his massage constantly changed, subtly aligning with the patterns of the Heavenly Dao.

This allowed every part of Di Yan's body to evenly absorb the essence of the medicinal liquid, achieving a flawless, natural perfection.

Once this sequence of movements was completed,

the medicinal liquid had turned from green to clear and transparent. The girl's delicate body seemed as if it had been roasted in a furnace—her skin flushed crimson, her temperature extremely high, wisps of white steam continuously rising from her.

'Alright, rest early!'

Su Quan withdrew his hands.

This massage technique had also taken a significant toll on him.

A bead of sweat appeared on his forehead, and his breathing became slightly rapid.

By now, Di Yan had long forgotten the initial awkwardness. She could feel the changes in her body. The pain and fatigue from the day had completely vanished. Not only that, but the lingering ailments from her past life of wandering had also been healed.

Her physical condition was unprecedentedly good!

'Revered Master, thank you!'

Looking at the sweat on the young man's forehead, Di Yan spoke with a hint of heartache in her violet eyes.

'Silly girl, the best thanks you can give your Revered Master is to keep up with your cultivation tomorrow!' Su Quan smiled, ruffling her damp hair, then walked out.

Only after the door closed did Di Yan completely relax. Losing her balance, she slumped down into the tub.

She touched her burning hot face. For some reason, her heart was beating wildly, and a feeling she had never experienced before surged within her.

'Revered Master...'

...

Time flies like a white steed glimpsed through a crack; it passes in a flash!

In the blink of an eye, ten years had passed.

It was still that spiritual mountain, still that small courtyard.

Morning sunlight streamed in.

A tall, beautiful young girl was continuously performing a series of strange postures. The bones inside her body emitted cracking 'snaps,' and every piece of flesh and blood trembled at an extremely high frequency, seemingly harboring terrifying power.

Soon, she completed the seventy-two movements.

Di Yan concluded her practice and stood upright, exhaling two streams of white Qi from her nostrils that faintly resembled the shape of Dragons.

'Revered Master, your Disciple has done it!'

She looked back, her bright eyes and pearly white teeth forming a stunning, breathtaking smile.

She was now fifteen years old. Due to long-term consumption of large amounts of precious meat, she had grown very quickly, nearly reaching one hundred and eighty centimeters, just slightly shorter than Su Quan. Her beautiful legs were long and straight, quite eye-catching.

Her facial features had also matured. Her deep violet eyes were bright and clear, her willow-leaf eyebrows extended gracefully towards her temples, and her lush, cloud-like black hair cascaded casually over her shoulders. Her small, cherry-like mouth was red and alluring.

Unlike Mu Xiyan's noble and majestic beauty, Di Yan's beauty carried an innate cold pride and aloofness, like a snow lotus blooming atop a ten-thousand-meter mountain peak, bringing with it a chilling aura.

'Xiao Yan, very impressive!'

At this moment, Su Quan was leisurely reclining on a rattan chair, not hesitating to give a thumbs-up.

His memories told him that even the Burial Heaven Demon Lord himself had spent a full one hundred years mastering this set of Body Refining movements. Yet, this young girl had achieved it in only ten years, a testament to her terrifying natural talent.

'Revered Master, now that I've finished this set of movements, when will you teach me how to practice the sword?'

Di Yan moved close to the young man, her small hands skillfully massaging his shoulders as she coquettishly complained.

It was only in front of Su Quan that she would display such a girlish demeanor.

In past years when she went down the mountain to purchase daily necessities, the common folk had given her a very fitting nickname—the Aloof Immortal Maiden.

'It is indeed time to practice the sword. However, before cultivating sword techniques, the most important thing is to Awaken your Physique!' Su Quan sat up from the rattan chair, a thoughtful expression on his face.

The Indestructible Sword Body was extremely difficult to Awaken. Even with his methods, he couldn't do it!

However, this didn't stump him. According to the normal script, Di Yan would join the Lietian Sword Sect. There must certainly be a method there to Awaken her Physique.

'It seems it's time to make a trip down the mountain!'

Su Quan stretched lazily, then threw on a cloak and headed outside.

'Revered Master, where are we going?' Di Yan asked, following behind.

'The Lietian Sword Sect!'

A compelling light flashed in Su Quan's eyes.

The Lietian Sword Sect was the premier Sword Cultivator sect in the Five Elements Realm and a pillar of strength for the Righteous Path Alliance. They had always been at odds with Demonic Path forces. Getting their help certainly wouldn't be a simple matter.

'Follow your Revered Master!'

Su Quan stepped onto his Flying Sword, taking Di Yan with him. They soared into the sky, transforming into a streak of dazzling light that disappeared at the horizon's edge...
