75: You are not the person I'm looking for.

“Hey, hey, hey, Young Master, take it easy, don’t fall down!”

Several maidservants stood anxiously at the edge of the pond beneath the rockery.

Atop the rockery was a small child wearing a red bellyband and two sky-pointing buns. His features were as delicate and lovely as a porcelain doll, with a flame-like red mark on his forehead that added a touch of nobility and heroism.

It was none other than five-year-old Su Quan.

Using both hands and feet, he was as agile as an ape, scrambling to the highest point of the rockery in a few moves. He then stood on his tiptoes, trying hard to see the world outside.

A cold wind blew against him, and the water-drenched bluestone was somewhat slippery. His toes failed to find a steady grip, and he stumbled, nearly falling, causing the maidservants below to scream in unison.

“Quan Nu, come down!”

An incredibly majestic voice rang out. Su Jing, draped in a noble green robe with a cold, stern face, strode in.

Facing his cheap This old lady, even with a Heart-Nature as strong as Su Quan’s, he couldn't help but behave himself. This person had a domineering and forceful personality, being the absolute authority within the Su Residence, and had been incredibly harsh in her discipline of him since he was young.

In short, it was similar to the male chauvinism of his past life.

“Mother!”

Su Quan jumped down from the rockery and obediently approached the woman. Being small in stature, he only reached her knees.

“Hmph, idling all day, showing no ambition, only knowing how to play and have fun. I, the grand Su Jing, have been a Heroine all my life; how did I give birth to such a useless thing like you!” Su Jing’s face darkened as she immediately began to scold him.

“Your child knows he was wrong!”

Su Quan stuck out his little tongue, pretending to be cute, not taking the woman's words to heart at all.

“Hmm?”

Su Jing’s brows furrowed, showing signs of impending rage.

Seeing this, Su Quan gave a wry smile and immediately corrected himself, “Your daughter, your daughter knows she was wrong!”

Compared to the woman's forceful personality, what he found most unbearable was the way she chose to raise him—forcing him to wear girls' clothes, wear girls' accessories, tie girls' braids... everything was geared toward raising him as a daughter.

The only saving grace was that he was still young; even in girls' clothing, there wasn't much of a difference.

If she still forced him to cross-dress when he grew up...

Cough cough, he would rather die!

“Follow me, and remember to perform well later!” Su Jing gave him a sharp glare before heading toward the backyard.

“Perform what?”

Five-year-old Su Quan looked bewildered but still followed closely.

Soon.

After crossing a flowing water arch bridge, a quiet and elegant garden appeared before them. In the woods stood a tall figure clad in a white and blue Daoist robe, wearing a golden crown and holding a fly-whisk, possessing a certain ethereal Concept.

“Cultivator Su Jing welcomes the High Immortal. I have brought my daughter to you!” Su Jing flicked her sleeves and bowed deeply toward that back, her face full of humility.

Holy cow!

Su Quan watched curiously; it was his first time seeing his cheap mother acting so submissive.

Upon hearing her, the figure slowly turned around.

Curiously, the woman's face was shrouded in a layer of mist, making it impossible to see her features clearly. Her voice was as melodious as a bubbling spring, though a hint of slight displeasure could be heard.

“Why is it a boy?”

“Reporting to the High Immortal, there was... a small accident!” Su Jing was instantly drenched in sweat. She wiped her face and said rather awkwardly, “Though he has a male body, his natural talent is definitely not weak. Even if you can't take him as a personal Disciple, a registered Disciple would be fine!”

At this point, she hurriedly patted Su Quan’s shoulder and urged, “What are you standing there for? Hurry up and kneel to pay respects to your Revered Master!”

Wait, who is this person?

Su Quan was completely confused. Having a pair of cheap parents wasn't enough, and now a cheap Revered Master had popped up?

“No need!”

The woman spoke coldly.

A faint Aura erupted, and the whole world seemed to freeze. Su Jing’s cold sweat soaked her undergarments, and her delicate body couldn't stop trembling.

The might of an Immortal is truly terrifying!

A look of solemnity flashed through Su Quan’s pupils. After all, he was a man who had experienced being the Burial Heaven Demon Lord; though his cultivation was gone, his eyesight remained.

This woman’s Realm was likely already powerful to an inconceivable degree.

Then, the woman spoke again, her voice unable to hide her disappointment.

“She and he both have the surname Su, but she is female. Therefore, you are not the person I am looking for!”

“But, but with your status, it shouldn't be hard to take him as a registered Disciple, right?” Su Jing suppressed the fear in her heart and plucked up the courage to try one more time.

“If it were normal times, taking a registered Disciple would be no issue, but now...”

As if thinking of something, the woman shook her head with a light sigh, her eyes filled with gloom.

Seeing the Great Tribulation approaching, even the high and mighty Immortal Emperors were panicking, searching for ways to survive the tribulation, let alone her, who was just an Immortal King.

Once swept into the Great Tribulation, she probably wouldn't even be able to make a splash before dying.

“It’s better to be less involved with Karma!”

The woman's words were utterly heartless.

With that, she prepared to leave, continuing her journey to find 'her'.

Thinking of 'her' figure, even someone with a state of mind like the woman's couldn't help but feel a moment of daze.

The number one Heavenly Prodigy of the Immortal Realm throughout history!

The Supreme Daoist Maiden of the Changsheng Academy!

The youngest Immortal Lord expert!

The youngest Immortal King expert!

Among her peers, no one was a match for her; a single cold glance could suppress ten thousand heavens.

But such a natural genius, a peerless Prodigy, had resolutely dispersed her Cultivation Technique at the end of the Emperor Road, choosing Celestial Release to enter Reincarnation.

If she could take such a Heavenly Prodigy as her Disciple before she had an Awakening of her past life's memories and establish Karma, there might be a slim chance of survival in the coming Great Tribulation.

“High Immortal!”

Su Jing reached out, wanting to plead some more.

“Oh, right!”

The woman suddenly stopped. With a flick of her finger, a golden stream of light fell into Su Quan’s hand.

Then, her figure dissipated, leaving only her voice echoing.

“Su Jing, I once owed your ancestors a favor. Although I cannot take him as a Disciple, these Magic Treasures and Cultivation Techniques shall be considered repayment!”

“From now on, I no longer have any Karma entanglement with your Su Family!”

Looking at the place where the woman had vanished, Su Jing stood dazed for a long time.

After a long while, she stomped her foot resentfully and sighed, “Sigh, what a pity, what a pity. You useless thing, why do you have to be a boy!”

“That was a figure who stands at the very peak of the Immortal Realm, the Taiyi Immortal King!”

“If only you could have entered her tutelage...”

Su Quan had no interest in listening to his cheap mother's nagging; his attention was entirely on the beam of light the Taiyi Immortal King had placed in his hand.

As the golden light faded, several Magic Treasures revealed themselves.

A Golden Ring.

A Red Silk Ribbon.

A pair of Small Wheels.

And a ten-foot-eight-long Fire-Tipped Spear...
