151: Chapter 151 Preparations Before Seclusion

"What do you mean?"

Lin Qing did not understand why Elder He said he no longer needed Contribution Points.

"Junior Brother Lin Qing, you must have just woken up today, right?"

Lin Qing nodded. It seemed that some things had happened during the few days he had been asleep.

Elder He smiled slightly and said:

"It is like this: from now on, you do not need to pay any Contribution Points for anything you need for your own Cultivate. If you have any needs, just come directly to us old fellows."

The few he referred to were the ones Lin Qing saw most often, who, like Elder He, were basically in charge of their respective departments.

As he spoke, Elder He suddenly lowered his voice.

"Actually, even if it is not for your own use, as long as you do not go around proclaiming it and do not take too much, us old fellows will turn a blind eye."

After finishing, he raised his eyebrows at Lin Qing.

Lin Qing was somewhat surprised, but upon further thought, it was actually quite reasonable.

Because of his special status, the Sect had not categorized him into a specific Disciple sequence. For instance, although his token marked him as a True Disciple, he did not have the task requirements of a True Disciple, and the Contribution Points he received automatically every month were far greater than those of other True Disciples.

The Yunyin Sequence in the Sect actually had such privileges, not needing to worry about resources for their own Cultivate.

Lin Qing's battle at the border had thoroughly demonstrated his value, and now, in the eyes of the Sect's upper echelons, he was an existence more worth investing in than the Yunyin Sequence.

After understanding this, Lin Qing raised another question.

"Then what about things that are not available in the Scripture Pavilion or the Logistics Department?"

Elder He shook his head, looking helpless.

"Then you will have to find a way yourself. However, can you tell me what kind of things you are looking for?"

"Mainly some high-level Pill Formula and miscellaneous studies like Artifact Refining."

Elder He looked at Lin Qing with some suspicion, then said earnestly:

"Junior Brother Lin Qing, Senior Brother suggests that you focus your main energy on the Cultivate of your Realm. Even if you really want to learn a craft, Senior Brother advises you to choose only one. It is better to master one thing than to learn many shallowly."

Elder He did not know that Lin Qing had a System, so giving such advice was completely reasonable, and Lin Qing certainly knew that the other party was genuinely concerned for him.

"It is fine, Senior Brother He. I have never neglected the root for the trivial. Learning these things is mainly for the sake of understanding; in case the enemies I encounter in the future use certain tricks, I will be better prepared to handle them, right?"

Elder He nodded. In any case, he had said what needed to be said. How Lin Qing chose was his own business; if he nagged any further, it would only be annoying.

"Alright, I will go discuss it with the Sect Head and several Elders in a moment to see."

"By the way, Junior Brother Lin Qing, didn't you want to exchange for Contribution Points? Take the items out."

"Then I will trouble you, Senior Brother He."

Although Lin Qing already had privileges, he still needed Contribution Points for certain things, such as dining at the Cloud Market or asking people for small favors; Contribution Points were still quite useful.

After processing the corpses of the Demon Court Disciples and exchanging them for Contribution Points, Lin Qing went to the Logistics Department again. Having killed so many Demon Court Disciples, he had gained more than just corpses.

Now, Lin Qing could be described as incredibly wealthy. Not to mention the one hundred million in compensation from the Xuanye Demon Court, the Spirit Stones he obtained from those Demon Court Disciples alone amounted to tens of millions. After all, there were so many Prodigy-level figures, and every one of them was wealthy.

Therefore, this time, Lin Qing did not exchange all the miscellaneous items for Spirit Stones; instead, he kept some medicinal herbs and Ore of various grades.

At this moment, Lin Qing received a message from the Sect Head.

"Junior Brother Lin Qing, I heard from Junior Brother He that you need some things like Pill Formula. Organize a list of what you need, and we will go find them for you."

Hearing the Sect Head's message, a smile appeared at the corners of Lin Qing's eyes. This would save him a great deal of time.

If these crafts were mastered, they would yield significant returns. Therefore, many Disciples wanted to take such shortcuts to achieve the goal of quickly obtaining resources for Cultivate.

However, the investment required during the learning process of these crafts was huge. This led some Disciples to spend a massive amount of time and energy on this path, but they often ended up losing so much that they could not even guarantee their own basic Cultivate.

Over time, the Immortal Sect stopped placing these things in the Scripture Pavilion for them to acquire at will.

If they really wanted to learn, it was still possible.

The Sect first provided basic courses for the Disciples, which was what could be learned at the Preaching Hall; Lin Qing had also gone to learn there back then.

The Materials needed for practice during this period were mostly just Mortal-grade, and since the lowest cultivation level of an Outer Sect Disciple in the Immortal Sect was the fifth level, they could barely afford this consumption.

After finishing the basic courses, some Disciples who were just on a whim or lacked talent gave up on their own. A small portion of Disciples who still wanted to continue learning would go find older Disciples or Elders of the Sect to learn from. With one-on-one guidance from a Senior, they could minimize taking unnecessary detours.

This method indeed saved many Disciples invisibly, but it caused great trouble for Lin Qing, mainly because he learned too many things and they were too miscellaneous.

If he wanted to learn high-level crafts, he had to visit those Elders one by one. Some extremely responsible Elders would not even sell them for Contribution Points or Spirit Stones; instead, they would test you first and only teach you if they confirmed you had the talent for learning.

Not to mention the waste of time, it was also very difficult for Lin Qing to obtain Pill Formula or Talisman above his current level. Now that the Sect Head and those Elders with real power were personally taking action, Lin Qing naturally had to seize the opportunity well.

Thus, Lin Qing reported his needs to the Sect Head, such as five types of sixth-level Talisman drawing methods, five types of eighth-level Pill Formula, and so on. He also specifically requested that the Materials be cheap and easy to gather.

He did not ask the Sect to provide practice Materials for him; he felt that would be taking too much advantage of the Sect. Abusing his privileges right after receiving them would easily leave a bad impression.

For the next period, Lin Qing returned to the street where Luoxia Valley was located in Chuyun City. It had only been a month since he last came here. The cultivation of Yun Nian and the others had not had any major Breakthrough, but their speed of improvement was indeed much faster than when they were in Great Qi.

As for Sect Master Shen Yurong, she had successfully broken through to the sixth level. She was originally at the Peak of the fifth level, and at only sixty-some years old, she could already be considered very talented.

Now that she had arrived in Chuyun City, her future had infinite possibilities. If she did not encounter a Realm bottleneck, with Lin Qing's help, future advancement to the seventh or eighth level was almost a certainty.

After staying in Chuyun City for five days, Lin Qing finally received another message from the Immortal Sect Head.

"Junior Brother Lin Qing, come to the Sect Main Hall. The things you wanted have been gathered."
