Chapter 414 The Eye of Wisdom

As one of the only two transcendent forces in this world alongside the Daoist sects, the Buddhist sect naturally could not consist of only the three Holy Lands: the Ten Thousand Buddha Cave, Nalanda Temple, and the Hanging Temple.

The number of nunneries was also not small.

Among them, the two nunneries with the greatest influence and scale were the Jingyue Nunnery and the Kongzhu Nunnery.

The Abbesses of these two nunneries were both Celestial Being Experts who had opened their Divine Treasuries.

Furthermore, Chanyue, the Personal Disciple of Abbess Miaoyun of the Kongzhu Nunnery, was ranked fourteenth on the beauties ranking list for her beauty that would make fish sink and geese fall, while Abbess Wangyou of the Jingyue Nunnery was ranked eighteenth for her natural beauty.

Although they were monastics, the vast majority of the nuns in the Jingyue Nunnery and Kongzhu Nunnery possessed outstanding appearances and excellent backgrounds. Because they spent their days accompanied by green lamps and ancient Buddhas, they also possessed a tranquil and ethereal temperament.

They were not the slightest bit inferior to the women of the secular Jianghu, and in some respects, they were even superior.

And now, the Abbesses of the Jingyue Nunnery and Kongzhu Nunnery were both within the Ten Thousand Buddha Cave.

After all, with the True Buddha having descended, as members of the Buddhist sect, there was no reason for these two Abbesses not to come and pay their respects.

"amitabha!"

Master Kongchan first chanted the Buddhist name solemnly, then his face immediately collapsed, and he said bluntly, "If you want to go, then you go! I'm not going!"

Just kidding, asking two monastics and the nuns in the nunneries to offer themselves up to please the True Buddha.

This kind of thing was something they could only think about in their hearts.

If they really opened their mouths to speak to Abbess Miaoyun and the others, they would likely be skinned alive by them.

...

...

Hum!!

Inside the valley of the Zhenru Cave, Yan Chu did not hold back at all with this blade aura. Although it was just a plain and unremarkable blade technique, it contained various changes and was enough to behead someone in the Divine Ability Realm.

But when it landed on that huge Sakyamuni Buddha statue, a ripple-like halo of Buddha light suddenly appeared, and the lethality of the blade aura was gradually dissipated, leaving not a single trace.

This was also within Yan Chu's expectations.

If a simple stone Buddha statue could really be broken by brute force, then the palm strike Great Master Likong had just unleashed would have shattered it to pieces.

"Then... it has to be this way!"

Yan Chu formed hand seals with both hands, and a wheel of Buddha light appeared in his palms.

Tathagata Palm, Buddha Light First Appears.

The only thing he could connect with the Buddhist sect was the Tathagata Palm.

At this moment, the Buddha light in his palms shone brilliantly, filling the entire Buddha cave, and he struck the Buddha statue solidly with one palm.

Boom!!!

Om! Ma! Ni! Pad! Me! Hum!!!

As this palm fell, rich Buddha light erupted from the Buddha statue once again, colliding and merging with the Buddha light in Yan Chu's palms, and suddenly, the sound of Sanskrit chanting resonated throughout the Ten Thousand Buddha Cave once more.

From the Buddha statue, the six-character mantra of the Buddhist sect appeared.

The strange phenomenon here made all the monks in the Ten Thousand Buddha Cave stop in their tracks and look towards the direction of the Zhenru Cave, curious about what Yan Chu was doing to cause such a situation.

They saw green light shining brilliantly from the center of the Buddha statue's brow.

A green fruit the size of a baby's fist flew out and slowly drifted into Yan Chu's palm.

Yan Chu held the fruit, and as if struck by a moment of inspiration, he knew what it was.

The wisdom fruit left behind by Venerable Huaimojun.

It was hidden in the center of the Buddha statue's brow.

And at this moment, after losing the wisdom fruit, the giant Sakyamuni statue finally changed, losing the naturally emanating divine charm it had at the beginning.

It was no longer as awe-inspiring as before, but just an ordinary Buddha statue.

If he were to strike it with a blade now, it would surely shatter into pieces.

"wisdom fruit?!"

Suddenly, the pleasantly surprised voice of Great Master Likong rang out from outside, and he came to Yan Chu's side, looking at the green fruit in his hand.

He first performed a Buddhist salute to Yan Chu, and then said, "According to the legends in the classics, after Venerable Huaimojun left, he left behind a wisdom fruit and a bodhi seed. The bodhi seed has always been kept by the person in charge of the Ten Thousand Buddha Cave, but the wisdom fruit has never been seen."

"I didn't expect this wisdom fruit to be inside the statue of the World Honored One."

"Oh? I wonder what use this wisdom fruit has?"

Yan Chu picked up the green fruit and examined it carefully.

Great Master Likong respectfully replied, "The wisdom fruit can enlighten wisdom and help people improve their cultivation and insights. Scripture that usually requires months of practice might only take half a day to master."

"The Venerable placing the wisdom fruit inside the Buddha statue seems to have been left specifically for you, True Buddha."

"Heh."

Yan Chu said noncommittally, "Could it be that he knew I would come here ten thousand years ago?"

"This old monk does not know!"

"However, the power of an Arhat cannot be fathomed. Perhaps he could foresee things ten thousand years later? Who can say for sure?"

Yan Chu examined the wisdom fruit, already knowing how to use it.

He silently circulated the cultivation path of the Tathagata Palm, and a beam of divine light appeared in his palm. Buddha fire burned fiercely, and the green wisdom fruit melted rapidly within the Buddha fire.

This scene made Great Master Likong's expression change slightly, and he couldn't help but feel a bit pained.

The wisdom fruit was a supreme treasure of the Buddhist sect, even superior to the bodhi seed.

Moreover, this was a wisdom fruit left behind by an Arhat himself; to have it melt away like this was truly a pity.

As the wisdom fruit completely melted in his palm, a vast amount of memories began to pour into Yan Chu's mind, similar to the method of direct empowerment.

In an instant, Yan Chu went from an ordinary person who did not understand Buddhism to a person with deep roots of wisdom who was well-versed in many Buddhist classics, more proficient than all the high monks of the Buddhist sect in the world today.

Behind the head of the Primordial Spirit in his Sea of Consciousness, three wheels of golden Buddha light appeared.

Making him appear even more solemn and dignified.

Such a massive torrent of memories, if it had been anyone else, even with a supreme Opportunity, they would not have been able to handle it.

At the same time, the life of Venerable Huaimojun also appeared in his memories.

A secular martial artist, his heart entangled by the three poisons of greed, anger, and ignorance, often disturbed by internal and external demonic obstacles, deep in suffering, cycling through life and death, in unbearable pain.

By chance, he heard the Buddha preaching.

Thus, he developed a sense of detachment, generated the bodhi mind, and vowed to use wisdom and concentration to destroy all demonic armies of affliction, to save himself and others.

Afterward, he went through countless kalpas, focusing on meditation and wisdom, practicing the three studies of precepts, concentration, and wisdom.

He severed all kinds of afflictions of view and thought, using wisdom as an arrow and concentration as strength, layer by layer breaking through the inner greed, anger, and ignorance, and external demonic disturbances.

Finally, he attained great wisdom power, completely severed afflictions, transcended life and death, attained the fruit of an Arhat, again practiced the Bodhisattva path, and finally was able to practice in peace and move towards liberation.

"Apply the juice from the melted wisdom fruit onto your eyes to obtain the Wisdom Dharma Eye!"

In the memories of Venerable Huaimojun, there was such a sentence.

Yan Chu followed the instructions and applied the green juice in his hand to his eyes. The juice melted into his eyes bit by bit, feeling icy and stinging.

In an instant, Yan Chu's vision seemed to turn into a brilliant green.

His eyes stung, forcing him to close them tightly.

These juices melted into the blood vessels around his eye sockets bit by bit, causing Yan Chu's eyes to undergo some strange changes.

After a while, this strange change slowly disappeared.

Yan Chu opened his eyes, and everything in front of him had changed.

He could see the trajectories of the movement of the heaven and earth Origin Qi in the air, and could see all the minute particles of the Buddha statue in front of him.

In the past, he could also see them by circulating his Primordial Spirit power, but now, with just a casual glance, the trajectories of all things in heaven and earth appeared clearly before his eyes.

He looked at Great Master Likong in front of him again.
