Chapter 418 Choosing a Day to Ascend

It was truly a hearty and thorough Dharma transmission assembly.

Right here within the Ten Thousand Buddha Cave, the ancestral home of Buddhism, amidst the silent Zen courtyards, beside the solemn forest of pagodas, and under the gnarled ancient pines, Yan Chu used his boundless physical strength and profound wisdom to make all the Abbesses feel the boundlessness of the Dharma, as if their Souls were beginning to ascend.

Since this event, the title of Great Buddha of Joy became even more well-deserved.

Everything remained the same within the Ten Thousand Buddha Cave, with everyone waiting for the True Buddha to emerge from seclusion and preach the Dharma.

Indeed, the official stance released by Master Kongchan and the others was that Yan Chu was in seclusion within the Zhenru Grotto.

And after his seclusion, he would open an altar to preach the Dharma to all Buddhist Disciples in the world.

This news spread throughout the world, and countless Buddhist Disciples traveled thousands of miles to the Ten Thousand Buddha Cave; the name of the True Buddha, Yan Chu, once again set the world abuzz.

The original "Blade Demon" was completely replaced by the title "True Buddha."

When he appeared before the Buddhist Disciples of the world and began preaching under the name of the True Buddha, no one in the Buddhist community had any further doubts about his identity.

He casually cited vast oceans of Buddhist scriptures and profound truths; the Dharma inherited from the Venerable Huaimojun finally found its use. Those listening to the lectures were entranced, and many saw their cultivation improve greatly.

The influence of Buddhism surged for a time.

Below the Dharma altar, high-ranking Buddhist monks like Master Fayuan and Monk Fajue exchanged glances, both seeing the joy in the other's eyes.

This move had indeed been the right one.

If they hadn't painstakingly persuaded their Junior Sisters, Abbess Miaoyun and Abbess Wangyou, how could they have heard such true scriptures?

Many of the scriptures were unheard of, likely existing only in the sacred Realm of Mount Ling.

The ten-day Dharma lecture assembly concluded, but the Buddhist monks were still left wanting more.

Although they inwardly hoped for the True Buddha to continue preaching, many knew this was impossible.

The Dharma must not be taught lightly.

Ten days was enough to demonstrate the True Buddha's deep affection for the Buddhist Disciples of the world.

Amidst praises and acclaim, Yan Chu left the Dharma altar with the reverent and pious gazes of all the Buddhist Disciples behind him, and he returned step by step to the Zhenru Grotto.

Here, the Abbesses of Jingyue Nunnery and Kongzhu Nunnery were still waiting for him to continue giving them private tutoring.

After the Dharma lectures concluded, Yan Chu continued to linger in the Ten Thousand Buddha Cave for several months.

With his current cultivation and strength, few were his match.

If not for the advantage of numbers, Abbess Wangyou and the others would never have been able to hold out for so long; they likely would have been defeated within three or five days.

However, the benefits they received were indeed significant.

Several Abbesses at the Supreme Grandmaster Realm successfully opened their Divine Treasury under Yan Chu's careful instruction, achieving the status of Celestial Being Expert.

As for the two Abbesses, not only did their cultivation advance greatly, but both achieved the Three Flowers Gathering at the Crown, and they attained a profound level of understanding regarding various Buddhist scriptures, breaking through many subtle Zen mysteries.

In terms of cultivation and Dharma, they were likely no longer inferior to the Abbots of Lantuo Temple and Hanging Temple.

Of course, this was all due to Yan Chu's efforts.

With his current cultivation Realm, helping them was simply effortless.

It could be said that they received immense benefits from Yan Chu, far more than anyone else in the Buddhist community.

Even Abbess Miaoyun, who was slightly resistant at first, became immersed in the pleasure of this cultivation boost, to the point of yielding to his every desire.

Even when teaming up with her Junior Sisters and Disciples, she agreed shyly and coyly.

Looking at them at a glance, how could they possibly resemble ordained monastics?

They were clearly shy and affectionate beauties.

When the absurd time in the Zhenru Grotto ended and Yan Chu departed on the Pure World Lotus Platform, he couldn't help but sigh:

"Truly, a bed of gentleness is the grave of heroes!"

He had come to the Ten Thousand Buddha Cave for the method of Ascension.

Yet, under the beauty offensive of the Buddhist sect, he had almost lingered indefinitely in the Ten Thousand Buddha Cave, forgetting his original purpose.

When the Abbesses became affectionate, they were far more charming than the women of the Jianghu.

With their slender figures, gentle temperaments, rosy cheeks, and half-veiled gazes, each one made him unable to let go, filled with endless affection.

In the Zhenru Grotto, with Yan Chu's departure, the place became completely silent.

The group of nuns all felt as if they had just had a long dream.

After exchanging glances, they silently began to put on their plain monastic robes again, covering their graceful bodies and delicate skin, returning to their former detached and dignified appearance.

However, Abbess Wangyou, Abbess Miaoyun, and several other high-level Abbesses gently stroked their lower abdomens, falling into a moment of confusion…

"Buddha Child…"

A white Lotus Pedestal streaked across the sky, with Yan Chu sitting atop it, toying with several heart-protecting mirrors in his hands.

He had already tested it; once refined, these heart-protecting mirrors could indeed deceive the sensing of Heaven and Earth, so that even if he exerted his full strength, there would be no repercussions.

They were worthy of being a great sect from the Upper Realm to be able to refine such Magical Artifacts.

Temporarily putting away the heart-protecting mirrors, Yan Chu scanned the world, taking in the entire region within a thousand miles, not missing a single inch.

He now possessed the Wisdom Dharma Pupil and could easily discern everything in this world.

Now, he would travel the world to find the spatial rift that could lead to the Upper Realm.

He believed that given the vastness of this world, such a rift must exist.

As long as he found the spatial rift, he would be able to successfully Ascend!

From this day on, the "True Buddha" Yan Chu once again disappeared from the public view of the Jianghu.

No one knew where he had gone.

Jianghu people who admired him went to the World Society, the Ten Thousand Buddha Cave, and other places where he had appeared to verify, but they received no information.

On the surface, this person seemed to have vanished suddenly.

Jianghu rumors claimed that Yan Chu had transformed into a rainbow in an uninhabited land and ascended, leaving this world completely.

Time flowed slowly…

As the saying goes, young Disciples grow old in the Jianghu, and beautiful women find gray hairs at their temples.

In the blink of an eye, more than twenty years had passed…

Twenty years, for a Celestial Being Expert, might just be a longer period of seclusion.

But for the vast majority of ordinary people, one-third of their lives had vanished; youth turned to middle age, middle age to old age, and the elderly might have already become a handful of soil in the fields.

When legends in the Jianghu fell silent, new legends would appear.

The legend belonging to the "True Buddha" Yan Chu was already a thing of the past; a name that hadn't appeared for over twenty years would no longer receive much attention from ordinary Jianghu people.

In the years after Yan Chu's disappearance, the world remained in chaos.

Without an Imperial Dynasty to maintain order, various warlords carved up the land; although there were no large-scale wars, things were generally not as peaceful as in times of peace.

Until this day, a piece of news spread from the long-quiet World Society, suddenly like a stone cast into the long-calm Jianghu, causing a massive uproar.

"The son of the 'True Buddha' Yan Chu and the World Society Leader Han Yunlu, the young Prodigy Yan Yufeng, announced that he would contend for the world and establish a new Imperial Dynasty!"
