11: Chapter 11: The College Entrance Examination is still very important!!
"Stability test... start!"
Zhou Fan did not delay for too long; instead, he immediately started the final test.
"Adjust the power supply to full load!" Zhou Guangming's expression gradually turned serious again.
Unlike the previous tests, there were no shortcuts for this one if they wanted to achieve accurate results.
To obtain the most accurate data, they had to use the most primitive method: running the power supply at full load for one thousand hours. It would only be considered qualified if the final output voltage fluctuation did not exceed 3%.
As for the battery life test, it required completing 500 charge-discharge cycles, with a capacity retention rate of over 80%...
These tests would take at least 42 days to complete.
If the first stage of the stability test went without issues, the remaining time would just be to verify its consistency.
In other words, the next hour would be critical...
"Power supply adjusted to maximum power, instantaneous input voltage is stable..."
"Ten-minute data shows a voltage fluctuation of 1%..."
"Twenty-minute data shows..."
"Thirty minutes..."
The atmosphere in the laboratory was even more intense than before, as every fluctuation on the voltage display and other test instruments was a test in itself.
"Fifty-minute data shows everything is normal!"
"Ten-minute countdown..."
"Five minutes..."
"Three minutes..."
"One minute..."
As the time ran out, Zhou Guangming and the others just looked at each other. They shifted their gazes from the instruments and subconsciously looked at Zhou Fan, their flushed faces revealing complex emotions.
Seven parts excitement, two parts shock, and a hint of disbelief...
At Motorola, a project usually took at least three to five months, or even two to three years, and most of those projects were just upgrades based on existing foundations... there wasn't much true innovation or breakthroughs.
Yet, after just one month here, more than a dozen breakthroughs and innovations in sub-technologies were as easy as eating and drinking, making them suspect that all of this was merely verifying a foregone conclusion...
"Organize the data and put it into a report. Lei Jun and the others are still waiting!" Zhou Fan clapped his hands and said with a smile.
He felt no surprise at the test results. After all, as the lead of the sub-project for Room-Temperature Superconductivity, researching a Fast Charging Technology—especially when he already knew the core keys to the technology—was incredibly simple.
Completing the technical verification was just too easy.
"I'll go get Lei Jun..." Zhou Guangming hurriedly said.
Just as he finished speaking, a flurry of footsteps approached, and Lei Jun and Li Guoqiang appeared in the laboratory.
"Did it succeed?" Lei Jun had not left since he found out the stability test was underway.
"We need to conduct a one-month long-term test, but it shouldn't be a problem to pass. It's essentially a success..." Zhou Guangming nodded. Long-term testing wasn't really about the technology itself; even if issues arose, they would likely be due to the materials.
"I knew you guys could do it." Lei Jun pumped his fist and gave a thumbs up.
He and Li Guoqiang both understood clearly what the success of the high-capacity battery and Fast Charging Technology meant. It meant that Fanmi Technology's first mobile phone would possess an almost overwhelming technological advantage. For the company, this not only meant it could quickly gain a foothold in the smartphone market, but also carve out a significant share of the chaotic market.
As the saying goes, one step ahead, every step ahead.
As long as the first product was a success, the entire company could enter a virtuous cycle.
They could quickly recover funds, invest more in R&D, negotiate with better suppliers, acquire more cost-effective hardware... laying a solid foundation for future products.
"We'll go to this supplier conference together!" Lei Jun reached out and took out a black invitation. It was truly a double celebration.
The cover was pure black with gold-stamped lettering, exuding a solemn and grand aura.
This invitation was hard-earned; Lei Jun had exhausted almost all his connections just to barely secure it. Having once been incredibly successful, he understood what it meant for a "fallen phoenix to be worse than a chicken." He didn't have many connections in Hangzhou City, so he had to rely on his contacts in Beijing...
Things became complicated, and even some of his contacts in Beijing distanced themselves once they learned he had left Xinshan to start his own business, despite them having been close previously.
For businessmen, profit is the only eternal friend. This realization had opened his eyes to many things.
"Engineer Zhou, want to come with us? You've been working hard for a month now." Lei Jun looked at Zhou Fan and invited him with a smile.
Zhou Fan shook his head upon hearing this.
"I can't. The college entrance exam is coming up! I've spent most of this month here, and my dad can no longer withstand the pressure from my teachers... Now that the Fast Charging Technology is done, asking for more leave wouldn't be appropriate! I need to go back to school."
Zhou Fan thought for a moment and shook his head again.
"The college entrance exam?" Chen Ming suddenly widened his eyes and exchanged a look with Zhou Zixiao.
A high school student???
Thinking back to their own high school days... discussing which girl in school was the prettiest, or secretly using a ballpoint pen to tease the hair of the girl in the front row... For a moment, both men fell silent.
"The college entrance exam is still very important..." Lei Jun was silent for a few seconds, then offered a helpless, bitter smile.
But for Zhou Fan, was the college entrance exam really that important?
There was actually no need to ask; Lei Jun already had the answer in his heart.
