122: Chapter 122 Ya Ya is missing

Time flew by, and in the blink of an eye, it was already dusk.

The vendors in Caishikou began to pack up their stalls one after another, and the originally bustling market gradually grew quiet.

The sunset clouds on the horizon dyed the southern city's Caishikou with a layer of dusky yellow.

Chen Shanzhi and the others finished their day's 'security' patrol duty and gathered under the large memorial archway outside Caishikou.

The afterglow of the setting sun spilled over them, casting long shadows.

For once, Jiang Feiyu didn't have any snacks in her hands. She kicked at the small stones by the roadside listlessly, her stomach letting out a 'gurgle' of protest.

“That's strange...”

Jiang Feiyu rubbed her flat little belly and muttered in confusion:

“The sun is almost down today, so why haven't Aunt Wang and Yaya come to Caishikou to set up their stall and sell steamed buns?”

At this point, she looked up extremely aggrievedly at Chen Shanzhi: “Chen Shanzhi, my little belly isn't full today, and I'm so hungry I don't have any strength left.”

Hearing this, Chen Shanzhi's gaze shifted downward.

He glanced at Jiang Feiyu's slim waist, which remained perfectly flat without a hint of fat even after a day of hunger.

The terrifying image of this girl devouring a dozen large white steamed buns in one go a few days ago, her mouth stuffed like a hamster's, instantly surfaced in his mind.

“You have the nerve to say that?”

Chen Shanzhi curled his lip and couldn't help but retort sharply:

“You ate so many steamed buns before, and I didn't see your belly bulge even a tiny bit.

Where did all that food go? It's simply a waste of our farmers' blood and sweat!”

Jiang Feiyu's originally aggrieved face instantly darkened.

“You dare to complain about me eating too much?”

Jiang Feiyu's beautiful eyes narrowed, looking like a tigress whose tail had been stepped on.

She suddenly exerted force through her feet, and the True Yuan of her Xuanguan Eleven Apertures instantly erupted.

*Whoosh.*

Before Chen Shanzhi could react, his vision blurred.

Immediately after, Jiang Feiyu's long and explosive arm had already clamped onto Chen Shanzhi's neck like a steel vice!

“Ugh!”

Caught off guard, Chen Shanzhi was forced to bend over by Jiang Feiyu's pull.

“Little Chen, who were you just mumbling and cursing at over there?”

Jiang Feiyu threatened fiercely, her arm tightening slightly.

But in the next second.

Chen Shanzhi felt his entire face being squeezed tightly by an incredibly soft pressure.

It was a kind of surging wave, full of elasticity and an astonishing scale, that defied verbal description.

The faint body fragrance unique to a young girl lingered at the tip of his nose.

Chen Shanzhi's breathing instantly stopped.

Holy crap!

Big! Huge!

This girl usually wears loose academy uniforms, so it was impossible to tell.

Now that she's holding me like this, this size... it's simply a hidden, lethal weapon of the mortal world!

Chen Shanzhi's face was squeezed somewhat out of shape. Feeling the incredible sensation against his cheeks, he struggled with difficulty and shouted in a muffled voice:

“Nothing! I didn't say anything!”

Chen Shanzhi managed to move his mouth enough to create a gap, desperately trying to survive:

“I said your Physique is too amazing! Whatever you eat goes exactly where it's needed!

You must eat more in the future! You're growing, you can't go hungry!”

Jiang Feiyu froze for a moment.

Goes exactly where it's needed?

She looked down at herself, then at Chen Shanzhi's face, which was flushed red from being squeezed.

She felt like those words sounded a bit strange, seemingly tinged with an indescribable air of lewdness.

But hearing Chen Shanzhi's final, extremely sincere 'eat more,' as a veteran foodie, her anger instantly dissipated by more than half.

“At least you're sensible, hmph!”

Jiang Feiyu gave a light snort and magnanimously released her arm, then clapped her hands: “

Then on the next Day Off, let's go to the Baxian Restaurant opposite Yihong Pavilion for a good meal. I haven't eaten their pork knuckle in a long time.”

“Whew—”

Chen Shanzhi quickly straightened his back, taking large gulps of fresh air.

He felt like he had almost been suffocated by that 'treacherous' attack.

He glanced at Jiang Feiyu's chest with lingering fear.

Wasting food?

Bullshit! This is clearly converting every single grain's nutrition 100% into the most critical areas!

To the side, Murong Yun, Ouyang Wanqing, and the others watched the two of them bicker without any regard for their image, all shaking their heads helplessly.

Chen Shanzhi, who had caught his breath by now, was stunned again when he heard what Jiang Feiyu said next. Why did Jiang Feiyu also want to ask him out for this Day Off?

He shook his head and said helplessly, “Not this time. I have other things to do on this Day Off.”

Hearing this, Jiang Feiyu got a little angry. “How can you have something else again? I sent someone to find you yesterday, saying Murong Yun was looking for you, and you went to the Murong Manor.

I'm asking you so early today, how can you still be busy?”

After hearing that, Chen Shanzhi subconsciously said, “You also went to the estate to look for me yesterday?”

“Also?” Jiang Feiyu's beautiful eyes looked at Chen Shanzhi suspiciously. “What do you mean 'also'? Did someone else go looking for you?”

Chen Shanzhi quickly denied it. “How could that be? When I said 'also,' I was referring to Murong Yun.

Let's make it the Day Off after that. I haven't been there in a while either.

When the time comes, have Murong Yun bring along his family's Bamboo Leaf Green wine, and we'll have a good drink.”

“Fine then, it's a deal. I'm making this appointment with you well in advance.”

“No problem, no problem.”

“Let's go, back to the academy.” Ouyang Wanqing interjected at this point, giving Chen Shanzhi a faint glance.

...

The night passed in silence.

The next afternoon, at the Third Quarter of the Wei Hour.

The southern city's Caishikou was as noisy as ever, filled with various shouts of vendors and the sound of bargaining.

As per usual, Chen Shanzhi and the others were scattered across various areas of Caishikou, performing their extremely boring patrol check-ins.

Chen Shanzhi was squatting next to a fish stall, watching the owner skillfully scrape scales and remove guts, while his mind plotted how to get the Cultivation Technique for absorbing Literary Qi from Ouyang Wanqing during the Day Off.

“Chen Shanzhi! Chen Shanzhi!”

Suddenly, an extremely anxious, even slightly panicked voice came from a distance.

Chen Shanzhi stood up.

He saw Jiang Feiyu even using her movement techniques, her whole person turning into an afterimage as she wove frantically through the crowd, rushing in front of Chen Shanzhi in the blink of an eye.

Not just her; Murong Yun, Ouyang Wanqing, and the others nearby had clearly been notified by her one by one and were quickly converging toward them.

Jiang Feiyu, who would usually be clutching a handful of melon seeds even if the sky were falling,

now had empty hands. Her forehead was covered in fine beads of sweat, and her face was pale.

“What's wrong? You're in such a rush.” Chen Shanzhi frowned.

“Something's happened!”

Jiang Feiyu grabbed Chen Shanzhi's arm, her voice trembling and her eyes reddening:

“I just went inside Caishikou to see if Aunt Wang had come to sell steamed buns...”

“It turns out Aunt Wang did come today, but she found me in a panic and said...”

Jiang Feiyu took a deep breath and suddenly raised her voice:

“She said Yaya is missing!”
