180: Chapter 180 Little Wu Feiyu, Come Back to the Mansion with Me

The door creaked open, and Jiang Feiyu froze in place while still holding the handle, looking like a silly goose that had been hit with a Body-Fixing Spell.

Outside the door, Murong Zhaoling stood with her arms crossed, her tall and upright figure accentuated by her eye-catchingly long, straight legs.

Her heroic eyes held a hint of scrutiny as they swept over Jiang Feiyu's slightly disheveled collar.

Beside her, Shen Lingfu stood with her hands behind her back, twirling a gleaming dagger. A playful, knowing smirk played on her lips, making her look like a little fox waiting for a show to begin.

Meanwhile, Tang Xiaowu kept her head down, her pale, slender hands unconsciously twisting the hem of her clothes. She stole occasional glances, her eyes tinged with a hint of jealousy.

Chen Rou looked gentle as always, though her smiling eyes carried the teasing air of an elder watching a drama unfold.

The atmosphere was deathly silent.

Jiang Feiyu felt her scalp tingle, and a cold sweat instantly broke out across her back.

Having just shared an intimate moment of honesty and actively seeking a kiss from Chen Shanzhi inside, she now had to face these four women, each with her own thoughts.

Even the usually carefree Jiang Feiyu couldn't help but feel a strong surge of guilt.

Her face, which had just begun to lose its flush, turned bright red again. She fidgeted with her clothes like a schoolgirl who had been caught doing something wrong.

"Um..."

Jiang Feiyu scratched her messy hair, her voice as faint as a mosquito's buzz. "The treatment is over. Chen Shanzhi... he's quite impressive. The injuries inside me have improved a lot."

No one responded. The corridor remained eerily quiet; none of the four women spoke a word.

Their gazes remained fixed on her, as if trying to bore a hole through her face.

Murong Zhaoling's cold stare, in particular, was like that of someone looking at a little thief who had just finished eating and was wiping their mouth after raiding her backyard.

She even leaned in slightly, as if sniffing for any unusual scents.

"Aiya!"

Unable to take the pressure anymore, Jiang Feiyu puffed out her cheeks, stomped her foot in frustration, and pouted as she shouted:

"What are you all thinking! We were just... just healing! It was a perfectly innocent treatment, nothing happened!"

The explanation only made things worse; the sense of trying to cover things up was strong enough to blow the roof off the Jiantian Division.

"Oh~~~"

Shen Lingfu drew out the sound with extreme exaggeration, then covered her mouth with a light giggle.

"Sister Feiyu, don't be so anxious. We're all just concerned about how your body is recovering."

Chen Rou also let out a soft laugh.

She stepped forward, took Jiang Feiyu's hand, and checked her pulse. "Alright, alright, we know it was for healing. How does your body feel? Is your True Essence still sluggish?"

Murong Zhaoling and Shen Lingfu also retracted their scrutinizing gazes and gathered around.

"How much of that toxic black gas inside has dissipated?"

They all began chiming in with concerns about her injuries, finally breaking the strange, awkward tension in the corridor.

Just then, steady footsteps echoed from inside the room.

Chen Shanzhi walked out calmly, adjusting his collar as he moved.

His face was ruddy and his breathing deep; there wasn't a trace of the weakness he'd shown while unconscious.

"What are you all talking about? It's so lively."

Chen Shanzhi took a long stretch, his joints letting out a series of crisp pops.

"Since I'm awake and my body is fine, there's no need to keep lingering in this cold infirmary of the Jiantian Division."

Chen Shanzhi's gaze swept over the women, and he asked casually, "By the way, is our current mission for the Jiantian Division still patrolling the Caishikou area every day?"

Shen Lingfu turned around, her dagger spinning skillfully around her fingertips before being tucked back into her sleeve with a sharp click.

She shook her head, walked to Chen Shanzhi's side, and said softly:

"There are no patrol missions. Ever since you and Sister Ouyang fell unconscious in Shi Village..."

"Lord Fu personally ordered our team's patrol missions to be temporarily suspended."

She blinked her pure, innocent eyes. "We're currently waiting for further notice from the Jiantian Division, essentially on standby."

Hearing this, Chen Shanzhi frowned slightly. "No missions?"

He looked around, his tone a bit dissatisfied.

"Then what about my academy wind and cloud ranking points? I've been unconscious for so long while everyone else has been working hard on missions."

"Our team hasn't gained anything. Aren't our points going to be left in the dust by everyone else?"

The academy wind and cloud ranking represented tangible resources.

One step behind meant being behind every step of the way.

Hearing Chen Shanzhi's concerns, Shen Lingfu and Jiang Feiyu shared a knowing look, both breaking into bright smiles.

"Little Chen, you're overthinking it," Jiang Feiyu said, patting Chen Shanzhi's arm with a proud expression.

Shen Lingfu picked up the thread. "The Shi Village mission allowed the Jiantian Division to uncover the God-Invoking Sect's major movements near the capital."

"Although we couldn't stop Tu Wanshen from entering the Secret Realm there in the end..."

"Our team's actions did allow the Jiantian Division to detect the God-Invoking Sect's dangerous activities around the capital in advance."

"The higher-ups take this very seriously, and it allowed the Jiantian Division to be prepared."

She paused, a hint of joy in her voice. "After all, it involved a top-tier expert from the top ten of the Heavenly Ranking."

"Cases of this level come with very generous rewards!"

"To commend our group, Lord Commander Fu Qingyun simply gave the order."

Shen Lingfu held up two fair fingers and waved them in front of Chen Shanzhi.

"Our team gets two thousand points per person."

"Two thousand points?" Chen Shanzhi was stunned, a flash of surprise in his eyes.

He quickly ran through the plot of the original game in his mind.

In the original game settings, this early-stage Shi Village mission would have given a few hundred points at most.

Now it had actually multiplied several times?

"Not only that," Jiang Feiyu leaned in, giggling. "Even though you've been sleeping like a log in bed for so long, your academy wind and cloud ranking hasn't dropped; it's risen."

"It jumped straight from thirty-ninth to thirtieth!"

Chen Shanzhi rubbed his chin.

This must be what they call a blessing in disguise.

Risking half his life for such a rich return was actually quite a good deal.

The group chatted and laughed as they walked out of the Jiantian Division's main gate.

The sky was darkening, and the evening breeze carried a hint of chill.

In the open space outside the Jiantian Division, several carriages bearing different emblems were parked quietly.

The Zhenguo Marquis Mansion's carriage was large and steady, the Murong Family's carriage appeared simple, and the Treasure Pavilion's carriage was extremely luxurious.

Aside from Jiang Feiyu and Tang Xiaowu, everyone else had their own transport.

Chen Shanzhi stopped and looked at the two women.

"You two..."

Chen Shanzhi pointed to his Zhenguo Marquis Mansion carriage. "Feiyu, the black gas in your body hasn't been completely cleared. For a while, you'll need me to personally use my cultivation to heal you every day."

"Xiao Wu, since the academy started, you've been living there and haven't visited the Zhenguo Marquis Mansion at all."

"Today is perfect. Both of you, get in my carriage and come back to the mansion with me."
