248: Ethnic continuation

This counterattack launched by the Beast Race lasted for a full five years before gradually coming to an end.

The number of Beastmen and Demonic Beasts who died in it was well over ten million.

Even many Cultivators of the Seven Sects perished.

There were even millions of various Tier 3 and Tier 4 War Slaves.

Of course, regardless of which side, the majority of those who died were low-tier existences below Tier 4.

As for the two Beastman Sub-Gods who tried to escape, they never managed to muster the courage to self-destruct.

After being beaten to the brink of death by True Lord Lu Feng and True Lord Li Mu, they were eventually taken to an immortal ship outside the Plane, where True Lord Haoyue, a Peak True Immortal, planted a Soul Seal on them, turning them into top-tier War Slaves under his command.

The high-level combat power of the entire Savage Beast Plane was almost completely wiped out.

Only a few three Tier 6 existences survived.

Among them was the Savage Shaman Savage River, who had shouted, 'Beastmen shall never be slaves.'

In the previous battle, he had been severely wounded and brought to the brink of death by Senior Wu Haiya.

However, the star core will did not seem to want this Savage Shaman to perish. At the final moment, it used the power of the Plane to protect him, allowing him to escape death.

With the war pacified, the Beast Race and the Demonic Beast hordes could no longer organize any effective resistance.

One by one, resource points and Beastman cities were gradually occupied by the Cultivators of the Seven Sects.

In the end, the remaining millions of Beastmen and Demonic Beast tribes, led by Savage River—who had been infused with the power of the Plane and promoted to the Late Stage of Tier 6—surrendered to the Cultivators of the Seven Sects who were at their gates.

This indomitable Savage Shaman had to bow his head for the continuation of his race.

The hunched figure bowed deeply before True Lord Lu Feng, Ye Feibai.

Bowing with him were a Tier 6 Early Stage Beastman and a Tier 6 Middle Stage Sub-Dragon type Demonic Beast.

"Those at Tier 6 or above will have a Soul Seal planted on them. You are allowed to reproduce for a hundred years!"

"After a hundred years, you must provide one million combatants of Tier 3 or higher to set out with the Seven Sects."

"Exchange war merits for survival supplies and cultivation resources!"

Ye Feibai looked at the figure and announced indifferently.

The vast voice spread across the entire Plane, echoing in the ears of countless Beastmen and Demonic Beasts.

Countless Beastmen and Demonic Beasts who had attained sentience fell silent.

While feeling fortunate, they could not help but feel a secret sorrow.

The fortune was that they had finally survived, and the race could continue.

The sorrow was that once they advanced to Tier 6, they would have a Soul Seal planted on them and become War Slaves; freedom would be lost forever.

"Many thanks to the Immortal for your mercy."

Savage River's aged voice was full of bitterness.

But what else could he do?

He had originally thought that the counterattack was the final swan song of the Beast Race.

Savage River had long held the determination to die, prepared to sacrifice himself for his race.

But when Senior Wu Haiya threw out a projection Magic Treasure, exposing the scene of the two Beast Race Sub-Gods attempting to flee to the eyes of the hundred thousand beast horde, Savage River's conviction collapsed instantly.

Betrayal, deception, worthlessness, sorrow... all sorts of emotions flooded his heart.

In an instant, he lost the will to resist.

If not for the star core will descending and taking him thousands of miles away, he would likely have already died on the wasteland.

Now that he was alive, the only thought remaining was to take good care of the surviving clansmen, reproduce, and continue the Legacy.

The spine of the Beast Race had already been broken.

"Under the rule of our Seven Sects, rewards and punishments are clear... If you earn war merits in the future, the future development of the Beast Race will not be limited to a mere Savage Beast Plane."

True Lord Li Mu stepped forward and said coldly, "Savage River, the survival of the Beast Race is not easy. From now on, you must remember today's grace and harbor no further disloyal thoughts."

"We will remember the Immortal's teachings!"

Savage River and the other two Tier 6 existences bowed and replied again.

The reason they chose to surrender rather than perish together, besides the weight of the race's continuation, was that the post-war governance terms announced by the Seven Sects contained many reasons beneficial to the development of the Beast Race.

These included, but were not limited to, providing a large amount of food for the barren Beast Race, as well as various Body Refining resources, and so on.

The Beast Race mainly Cultivates the Physical Body, using abundant Qi and blood to drive combat power for attacks.

It has similarities to the Body Cultivators of the cultivation world.

However, for a long time, the Savage Beast Plane has been relatively lacking in supplies, and the lower-tier Beastmen have been in a state of hunger all year round.

And Demonic Beasts, besides their innate magic, also need a large amount of food to provide energy for themselves.

Furthermore, the food consumption of the Demonic Beasts themselves far exceeds that of the Beastman race.

This is what led to the two major races fighting endlessly all year round, using each other as food.

But things like food are simply not worth mentioning for the Immortal Realm.

On the contrary, some Ores, Spirit Fruits, and Demonic Beast cores produced in this Plane have many benefits for Cultivators.

Therefore, under the policy of the carrot and the stick, surrender became inevitable for the Savage Beast Plane, which had already lost all its Sub-Gods.

As for whether those stubborn low-tier Beastmen could understand Savage River's painstaking efforts, that was no longer within his scope of consideration.

Post-war coordination is an extremely tedious and complex matter.

True Lord Lu Feng and True Lord Li Mu naturally did not need to do these things. After announcing the relevant matters, they went to the outside of the Plane on their own, preparing to participate in the conquest of other Planes.

The ones left behind to be responsible for managing everything were three Peak Integration Stage Cultivators from the Bitao Sect.

After the two True Lords left, the three were respectfully invited by Savage River and the others into the Ancestral God Hall.

...

"Senior Wu, after more than three hundred years, I have finally reunited with you."

Near the war zone Command Post, in a temporarily opened Immortal Cave, Su Ling respectfully poured Spirit Wine for Senior Wu Haiya.

Lu Tao laughed from the side, "Junior Martial Uncle, didn't expect it, right? Su Ling has actually become our fellow Sect member!"

"Yes, I really didn't expect it. Back then, a casual act actually saved a Direct Disciple of a Golden Immortal of the Sect!"

Senior Wu Haiya looked at Su Ling and said with great emotion.

More than a hundred years ago, because of his excellent Comprehension Ability, he was accepted as an inner Disciple by the Feihong Immortal Venerable.

Although his status could not compare to the nobility of Su Ling, the only Direct Disciple, it was not far off.

Lu Tao was the Direct Disciple of True Lord Lu Feng and the grand-Disciple of the Jingtao Immortal Venerable.

Continuing to call him Junior Martial Uncle would not feel like any overstepping of boundaries.

Originally, Senior Wu Haiya wanted Su Ling to just call him Senior Brother, but Su Ling dared not forget the other party's kindness. After some back-and-forth, he finally addressed him as 'Senior Wu'.

This appeared both intimate and did not lose the rules of the Sect.

"These years, I have been on the extraterritorial battlefield, and I have heard the name Han Yu."

After the pleasantries, Senior Wu Haiya looked at Su Ling with a slightly complex gaze, "I just never thought that the decisive and ruthless Azure Thunder Demonic Cultivator was actually you."

Not long after Lu Tao was accepted as a True Immortal's Disciple, he went to the Jinhun Realm.

For the next hundred years, he had been fighting endlessly in various Planes.

During the time Su Ling and the others were executing missions in the Soul Prison Cage Plane, he was in other Planes.

So much so that Lu Tao's several attempts to send messages were unsuccessful.

However, he did know that Senior Wu Haiya had always been safe and sound, and his cultivation had been growing steadily.

Now, he was at most a hundred years away from advancing to the Middle Stage of Body Integration.

If there were no accidents, it was entirely possible to attain the True Immortal Dao within three thousand years.

Improving a small Realm every three or four hundred years, for most Integration Stage Cultivators who might not even make any progress in a thousand years, Senior Wu Haiya's Comprehension Ability was indeed outstanding.

It was no wonder he was accepted as a Disciple by the Feihong Immortal Venerable.

Su Ling smiled and said helplessly, "Coming from a background as a Loose Cultivator, if you don't kill, you will be killed by others. This was a helpless move for your nephew."

"Cultivating immortality and seeking the Dao are inherently Heaven-Defying acts; what does a little slaughter count for?"

Senior Wu Haiya nodded slightly and said solemnly, "I am very gratified that you can support each other with Tao'er."
