Chapter 100 The Rebellious Disciple Openly Robs

Yun Yuzhen watched, dumbfounded.

"This... isn't this a bit too exaggerated?"

Su Ye smiled.

"This is the power of the Primal Water Body. If Waner specializes in the Dao of Beast Taming, her future achievements will be limitless."

Hearing her Senior Brother praise her, Lin Waner smiled until her eyes narrowed into crescent moons.

"Senior Brother! I've brought them all! What do we do next?"

"Next..."

Su Ye looked around. "First, we give them a home."

He began to assign them places.

The Golden-Haired Lion liked dry and warm places, so it was placed on the sun-facing side of the valley. There was a flat grassy area with plenty of sunlight. Su Ye personally built a simple shed for it and lined it with thick hay.

The Demon Flame Wolf preferred dark and damp environments, so it was placed on the shady side of the valley. It was close to the mountain wall where the sun never reached, perfectly suiting its habits. Su Ye carved a cave into the mountain wall to serve as its den.

The Thunder Eagle liked heights, so it was placed on the highest cliff in the valley. There was a thousand-year-old pine tree there, which served as a perfect perch. Su Ye built a massive eagle nest on the ancient pine.

The Red Flame Fox was small, so it was placed in a thicket of shrubs in the center of the valley. Lin Waner personally built an exquisite little nest for it, even lining it with a layer of soft fabric.

The Vajra Ape could live anywhere, but it preferred challenging spots. Su Ye carved a cave directly for it and specifically made the entrance high and steep, forcing it to climb every day to enter or leave.

The Mystic Water Turtle liked water, so it was placed by the stream. Su Ye dug a small pond by the stream, diverted the water into it, and specifically lined the bottom with smooth pebbles.

The other Spirit Beasts were also settled accordingly—some in trees, some in the grass, some in caves...

They worked until late at night, and the Spirit Beast garden finally began to take shape.

Su Ye stood in the center of the valley, looking at his masterpiece and nodding in satisfaction.

"From today on, this place shall be called 'Valley of Ten Thousand Beasts'."

Lin Waner jumped up in excitement.

"Valley of Ten Thousand Beasts! What a great name!"

She ran toward the Spirit Beasts and announced loudly:

"Did you all hear that? From now on, this is your home! You must be good, no fighting, no bullying the weak, and no running off whenever you want! Do you hear me?"

The Spirit Beasts all nodded in unison, behaving incredibly well.

Lin Qianxue stood to the side, her lips twitching slightly.

These Spirit Beasts were clearly fourth and fifth-rank beings, so why did they all look like newly weaned cubs in front of Lin Waner?

Yun Yuzhen also had a complicated expression.

This third Disciple of hers usually seemed a bit silly, but she hadn't expected her to have such a talent for beast taming. If nurtured well, she might one day become a Grandmaster of Beast Taming.

Su Ye walked to Yun Yuzhen's side and put his arm around her waist.

"Revered Master, what are you thinking about?"

Yun Yuzhen snapped back to her senses and shot him a glare.

"I'm thinking about just how many secrets you, this Rebellious Disciple, are still hiding."

"There are plenty of secrets."

Su Ye leaned close to her ear with a mischievous grin. "Does Revered Master want to discover them slowly?"

"Scram!"

Yun Yuzhen pushed him away in shy annoyance, but he only held her tighter.

Lin Waner and Lin Qianxue turned around in tacit agreement, pretending to look at the Spirit Beasts.

They had long since grown accustomed to this daily routine between their Revered Master and Senior Brother.

...

Night fell.

In the Valley of Ten Thousand Beasts, a campfire was lit.

Lin Waner had somehow found a wild rabbit and was roasting it until it sizzled with oil and released a mouth-watering aroma. The Golden-Haired Lion lay beside her, staring longingly at the roast rabbit, drool dripping all over the ground.

"No, this is for me!"

Lin Waner shielded the roast rabbit and glared at the lion. "You Spirit Beasts have to hunt for yourselves! You can't eat cooked food! You'll get fat!"

The Golden-Haired Lion let out a pitiful whimper and lay on the ground, looking at her with sorrowful eyes.

Lin Waner's heart softened at the sight, and she tore off a small piece of meat and threw it to him.

"Just one piece! Don't ask for more!"

The Golden-Haired Lion swallowed it in one gulp, his eyes shining brilliantly and his tail wagging like a windmill.

Lin Qianxue sat nearby, holding the sword embryo in her arms as she rested with her eyes closed. The Thunder Eagle landed beside her and rubbed its head against her arm, only to be pushed away by her expressionless face.

Yun Yuzhen leaned against a large tree, watching the scene as a faint smile unconsciously tugged at the corners of her mouth.

Purple Bamboo Peak had seemingly never been this lively before.

Su Ye sat down beside her and gently took her hand.

"Revered Master, are you happy?"

Yun Yuzhen looked at him and nodded.

"Yes."

Although this Rebellious Disciple was always teasing her, she had to admit that ever since he arrived, Purple Bamboo Peak had indeed become different.

The Cold Jade Palace, which used to be cold and lonely, was now bustling every day. Purple Bamboo Peak, which used to have only her, now had three Disciples, laughter, and the warmth of life.

"As long as you're happy."

Su Ye pulled her shoulder, letting her lean against him.

"It will be even happier in the future."

Yun Yuzhen didn't say anything, she just quietly leaned against him, feeling the warmth of his body.

The moonlight spilled down, stretching their shadows very, very long.

...

Early the next morning.

Su Ye was woken up by a burst of noise.

He opened his eyes and realized he had fallen asleep at some point, covered by Yun Yuzhen's outer robe. Yun Yuzhen was nowhere to be seen, leaving behind only a faint, delicate fragrance.

He stood up and looked toward the source of the sound.

In the center of Valley of Ten Thousand Beasts, Lin Waner was playing happily with the Golden-Haired Lion. She was riding on the lion's back, sprinting across the grass, her laughter echoing throughout the valley.

Lin Qianxue sat by the stream, carving a piece of wood with the sword embryo. The Thunder Eagle squatted beside her, tilting its head as it watched, occasionally letting out a cry as if offering its opinion.

The Demon Flame Wolf lay at the entrance of its cave, lazily basking in the sun. The Red Flame Fox was chasing butterflies in the shrubs. The Vajra Ape was climbing the cliff. The Mystic Water Turtle was swimming slowly in the stream.

It was a scene of perfect harmony.

Su Ye nodded in satisfaction.

It seemed these Spirit Beasts had already adapted to their new home.

He was about to go look for Yun Yuzhen when he suddenly sensed something and looked up at the sky.

A streak of light flew from the horizon and landed outside Valley of Ten Thousand Beasts.

The newcomer was dressed in green robes with a handsome face; it was the Holy Lord's eldest Disciple, Xiao Yichen.

Xiao Yichen stood at the entrance of the valley, looking at the valley shrouded in a light barrier, a hint of astonishment flashing in his eyes.

"This is..."

"The Eight Desolations Spirit Gathering Formation?!"

He recognized the Formation, and his expression became extremely complicated.

As the Holy Lord's eldest Disciple, he was well-traveled and naturally knew the power of the Eight Desolations Spirit Gathering Formation. This ancient Formation wasn't even present in the Holy Lords Hall! Su Ye had actually set one up in the back mountains of Purple Bamboo Peak?!

"Senior Brother Xiao, what brings you here so early in the morning?"

Su Ye walked over lazily.

Xiao Yichen took a deep breath to suppress his shock and said in a heavy voice:

"The Holy Lord has ordered your immediate presence at the Holy Lords Hall."

"Again?"

Su Ye raised an eyebrow. "What is it this time?"

"I don't know."

Xiao Yichen shook his head. "The Holy Lord only said there are important matters to discuss."

Su Ye thought for a moment and nodded.

"Fine, I'll go change my clothes."

He turned to leave, but after two steps, he looked back.

"By the way, Senior Brother Xiao, do you want to come in and sit for a while? We just built a Spirit Beast garden here, and the environment is quite nice."

Xiao Yichen's lips twitched.

Who wants to see your Spirit Beast garden!

But he still couldn't resist his curiosity and followed Su Ye into the valley.

The moment he entered the valley, he was stunned.

A dense Spiritual Qi washed over him, more than ten times thicker than outside! In the valley, various Spirit Beasts lived leisurely—the Golden-Haired Lion, Demon Flame Wolf, Thunder Eagle, Red Flame Fox... all were fourth and fifth-rank beings!

What shocked him even more was that when these Spirit Beasts saw Su Ye, they all showed looks of awe, and some even lay down directly to show their submission.

"These... these are the Spirit Beasts from Beast Taming Peak?!"

Xiao Yichen's eyes widened.

"Yes."

Su Ye nodded. "Elder Zhou gave them to me yesterday."

Xiao Yichen: "..."

Gave?

You clearly robbed them!

But he didn't say much, only giving Su Ye a deep, searching look.

This guy was becoming more and more inscrutable.
