20: The instinct of a villain

After another two days and two nights of non-stop flying.

At dusk on the third day, Lu Yi and his group finally arrived at the Xuanwu Kingdom.

Several huge immortal ships slowly sailed into the territory of the Xuanwu Kingdom and arrived above its capital city.

Lu Yi stood at the very front of the deck with his hands behind his back.

He looked down at the magnificent, brightly lit city below.

The rows of pavilions, the crisscrossing streets, and the prosperous aura rising into the sky all highlighted the heritage of this ancient capital.

Even Lu Yi couldn't help but sigh in his heart: it was indeed one of the most prosperous ancient kingdoms in the Heavenly Profound Realm.

This level of prosperity was even better than the metropolises on Earth.

The immortal ships were too large to sail directly into the city, lest they cause unnecessary commotion.

Under Lu Yi's signal, the immortal ships slowly descended and finally landed steadily in a forest outside the city, some distance away from the capital.

Lu Yi dismissed the accompanying Disciples of the Primordial Holy Land, telling them to enter the city on their own and move about freely.

At the same time, he stood on the deck and admonished everyone in a high-sounding tone:

"Coming here this time, we represent the face of the Primordial Holy Land. After entering the city, you must be cautious in your words and actions, and do not cause trouble or bully others by abusing your power."

On the surface, he looked like a righteous leader, but in reality, he was hoping that this group of Disciples would stir up some trouble.

It would be best if they could kick an iron plate and lure out some Sons of Destiny who "do not fear power."

That way, he could follow the trail and see if there were any new Opportunities to trigger.

After the group of Disciples dispersed, Ling'er, who had been standing obediently behind Lu Yi, immediately returned to her lively nature.

She excitedly pounced on him, affectionately tugged at Lu Yi's arm, and pleaded in a coquettish tone:

"Master, Master! I heard that the night market in the Xuanwu Kingdom is the liveliest in the entire Heavenly Profound Realm. Let's go check it out!"

Seeing her enthusiastic appearance, Lu Yi smiled and was about to agree, when a cold voice came from the side.

Shen Yueyao, accompanied by Lin Qingxuan, also walked out of the cabin.

Shen Yueyao had a pleasant conversation with Lu Yi a few days ago, and she was just planning to accompany Lin Qingxuan out for a stroll.

She happened to see Lu Yi and wanted to invite him to go along.

She looked at Lu Yi and took the initiative to extend an invitation:

"Holy Son Lu, if you don't mind, would you like to go into the city with us?"

Before Lu Yi could answer, Ling'er, like a kitten guarding its food, inserted herself between Lu Yi and Shen Yueyao, blocking their line of sight.

She puffed up her cheeks, her eyes filled with undisguised hostility as she looked at Shen Yueyao and said sourly:

"There is no need to trouble the Saintess! Master is going to accompany me!"

This sudden, intense jealousy made the situation somewhat awkward for a moment.

Seeing this, Lu Yi had to helplessly offer Shen Yueyao an apologetic smile:

"My apologies, Saintess Shen, let's do it another day."

"Alright then."

Shen Yueyao looked at Ling'er's jealous "this is my man" expression and shrugged knowingly.

She was not an insensitive person, so she didn't insist and just took the hand of Lin Qingxuan, who had been keeping her head down, and turned to leave.

...

Inside the capital of the Xuanwu Kingdom, the night market was already bustling with people and extremely lively.

Both sides of the street were hung with all kinds of lanterns, illuminating the entire area as bright as day.

The hawking of vendors, the laughter of diners, and the playful noise of children rose and fell, filling the air with the atmosphere of human life.

Lu Yi, with an excited Ling'er, strolled through this bustling crowd together.

The master and servant duo had a very high turnaround rate while walking on the street.

But the vast majority of the passersby's stunning gazes were focused on Ling'er.

Just because her hot figure was really... too big, too conspicuous.

Even under her loose casual clothes, it could not hide those breathtaking curves.

Sure enough, no matter which world it is, people are visual creatures.

"Mast... Young Master, look at this!"

Ling'er was picking up a strange wooden carving and excitedly turned her head to call Lu Yi to watch it with her.

Just at this moment, a petite figure in luxurious clothing darted out from the crowd.

She was running forward happily while looking back.

Then she bumped right into Ling'er, who had just turned her head.

What was even more coincidental was that the little girl's head precisely plunged into the soft "valley" in front of Ling'er.

The next moment, she was fiercely "bounced" away by a surging wave.

She landed on her bottom on the ground and let out a crisp "ouch" of pain.

Ling'er was also startled by this sudden "attack."

Thinking that someone dared to molest her, she instinctively turned around and threw a palm strike, but hit nothing.

And that palm strike, although it didn't use Spiritual Qi, the palm wind it created still caused the crowd in front of her to stumble.

Only then did she look down and see the little girl who had fallen to the ground, thinking she must have been "bounced" over by herself.

She then leaned down and reached out, wanting to pull her up.

At the same time, she asked:

"Little girl, are you okay?"

The little girl sitting on the ground was a bit dazed from the fall; she rubbed her bottom and looked up.

When she saw Ling'er's appearance and the "deadly weapons" that had bounced her over, she immediately became furious.

She jumped up from the ground, pointed at the smiling Ling'er, and scolded her arrogantly:

"Who are you! Do you not have eyes when you walk? How dare you block this Young... Young Miss's path!"

Ling'er looked at her angry, arrogant appearance and actually found it kind of cute, so she didn't hold it against her and apologized kindly:

"I'm sorry, little girl. It was my fault for not paying attention. Are you okay?"

Who would have thought that this little girl was someone who wouldn't let things go even when she was in the wrong? She put her hands on her hips and threatened:

"An apology is enough? In this Xuanwu Kingdom, no one dares to block this... Young Miss's path! Do you believe that I will..."

Before her arrogant words were finished, a gentle and elegant male voice came from behind the crowd, interrupting what she hadn't yet said.

"Mingyue! Stop talking nonsense!"

A young man, also dressed in luxurious clothing and carrying an extraordinary air, walked forward.

He first scolded the girl named "Mingyue" with a straight face, then politely cupped his hands to Ling'er and apologized:

"Young lady, I am truly sorry. My sister has been spoiled by the elders at home. Please forgive any rudeness on her part."

Lu Yi also slowly sauntered over at this time.

The moment his gaze met the eyes of the man who had come forward to apologize.

Lu Yi immediately felt a strange sense of familiarity.

This guy... his attire was very appropriate, his words and actions were elegant and easygoing, and he spoke with a smile.

The intuition of a villain told him:

"This guy... is definitely a fellow villain, right!"
