13: Chapter 13 This immortal cave dwelling is hereby requisitioned by this Great King!

It didn't look very big from a distance, but upon actually walking in, Chun Xiaobai discovered the Outer Sect Disciple area was absurdly vast.

Just the main street alone stretched as far as the eye could see.

Rows upon rows of various palaces lined both sides, forming continuous blocks.

He simply picked a street and started walking. Half a day later, he still hadn't reached the end.

After twisting and turning around several bends, he unfortunately got lost again.

Fortunately, the area was bustling with people coming and going. No one paid him any mind, which actually made him breathe a sigh of relief.

And so, Chun Xiaobaim aimlessly wandered and loitered around the outer areas.

Soon, he arrived before a small hill.

At the foot of the hill stood a giant rock several zhang tall. Three hastily scrawled large characters were carved upon it—Danxia Peak.

Two Disciples stood guard by the mountain path entrance, their expressions stern.

Every Disciple wishing to ascend the mountain was required by them to present their identity token for inspection.

"Could this mountain be a place for Cultivation?"

Chun Xiaobai stroked his chin, pondering.

The areas he had just wandered through included the 'Mission Hall' for posting tasks, the 'Hall of Dharma Transmission' for teaching basic Cultivation Techniques, the 'Karma Hall' for exchanging Medicinal Pills and Magical Artifacts...

These places were likely all public areas, accessible to anyone.

But this peak before him, which required identity verification to enter, was probably the private zone where Disciples resided and Cultivated daily.

"It seems one must ascend the mountain to enter the Dao."

He observed carefully. The tokens presented by the Disciples going up the mountain looked quite similar to the bronze token he had confiscated from the Storage Pouch.

Subsequently, he found a secluded corner. With a thought, he retrieved the male Disciple's identity token from his Storage Pouch.

The token felt cool to the touch. On the front was the character ' green' (Green). On the back was a line of small characters engraved—Green Bamboo Peak · Wu Liang.

"That's the one, alright. Just don't know if there's facial recognition."

Chun Xiaobai muttered to himself.

Whatever!

Time to gamble!

If it doesn't work, just say I found the token and came to return it.

Having made up his mind, he took a deep breath, pretended nothing was amiss, and continued walking forward.

Soon, he found the 'Green Bamboo Peak' indicated on the token.

To his surprise, however, Disciples streamed back and forth at the foot of this mountain. There were no gatekeeping Disciples checking identity tokens at all.

Chun Xiaobai was taken aback. "My luck is this good?"

And so, Chun Xiaobai swaggered into the crowd and directly ascended Green Bamboo Peak.

Just as he reached the mountainside, the view suddenly opened up.

On the hillside, exquisite small courtyards were built clinging to the mountain, well-arranged and interspersed among emerald bamboo and green trees.

He could vaguely see some Disciples in green robes moving in and out of those courtyards.

The air was also noticeably much fresher than at the foot of the mountain. Taking a deep breath, he felt all the pores on his body involuntarily relax, an indescribable comfort.

"This must be the legendary Immortal Cave."

He took out the bronze token and examined it carefully, but couldn't find any indication of where the cave belonging to 'Wu Liang' was located.

Of course, even if he knew, he definitely couldn't go there. What if the real owner came back? That would blow his cover instantly.

Fortunately, Green Bamboo Peak was enormous. At a glance, there were no less than eight to ten thousand of these Immortal Caves, densely packed like a honeycomb.

Suddenly, he noticed a young man walking towards him.

Chun Xiaobai reached out and grabbed him, pulling him over in one swift motion.

"Brother, do you also live around here?"

The Disciple was startled. He looked at Chun Xiaobai warily, but seeing he wore the same sect attire, he nodded.

"Mm."

As he spoke, he tried to move forward, only to find Chun Xiaobai's hand still gripping his arm tightly, not letting go.

"This Great... ahem, my Immortal Cave has a bit of a leak."

Chun Xiaobai cleared his throat, speaking nonsense with a straight face. "May I ask, where does one need to go to register if they want to change Immortal Caves?"

The Disciple sized up Chun Xiaobai, then asked suspiciously, "Are you new here?"

Chun Xiaobai memorized this universal excuse of 'being new' and immediately seized the opportunity, nodding.

"Yes, yes, yes. Just passed the assessment the day before yesterday, only joined Green Bamboo Peak yesterday."

"No wonder!" The Disciple suddenly understood.

"You don't need to register to change Immortal Caves. Just pick any courtyard you like and go knock on the door to challenge the occupant."

"If you beat him, the courtyard is yours. If you can't beat him..."

He paused, kindly reminding, "If you can't beat him, then prepare to lie in bed for a year or so."

"Uh!!!"

Chun Xiaobai was stunned for a moment, then ecstatic joy surged in his heart!

Damn it! I knew it! I must have come to the wrong place before!

This is where This Great King should be!

He quickly let go of the Disciple's arm and thanked him.

Then, rubbing his hands together, he began looking around.

The Immortal Caves here looked quite beautiful, but they were too densely packed, almost one right next to the other, like a residential compound.

With so many people, the Spiritual Qi wouldn't be enough to share, seriously affecting Cultivation speed.

He looked up towards the mountaintop. He noticed the higher up he looked, the more imposing the Immortal Caves became, and the sparser the distance between them, with tens of meters separating each one.

Since you can just grab one, you definitely want to grab the best location!

With his martial arts, he could just pick a weaker one, knock them out with one punch, and it would be his.

Chun Xiaobai rubbed his hands, his eyes gleaming with a green light. Without another word, he directly strode towards the mountaintop.

"Hey! Junior Brother!"

Seeing the direction this guy was sprinting off to, the Disciple's face changed dramatically. He quickly shouted at the top of his lungs:

"The Senior Brothers living at the mountaintop are all at the Qi Refining Late Stage or Qi Refining Great Perfection! You can't go there!"

However, at this moment, Chun Xiaobai was like a beast that had just broken free from its cage, his mind filled with the excitement of seizing territory. In the blink of an eye, he vanished, no longer able to hear the warning.

The closer Chun Xiaobai got to the mountaintop, the fresher the air on the path became.

Although he didn't know if this was the legendary Spiritual Qi, after all, standing high grants a far view, and the feng shui must definitely be stronger than those places down the mountain!

He charged straight to the mountaintop in one breath.

He discovered that at the very center of the mountaintop stood a vast complex of grand pavilions and towers, imposing and magnificent.

Above the main gate of the pavilion hung a huge plaque. On it, three gilded characters were written in a flowing, vigorous script: 'Peak Master Hall'.

"Hmm, this should be the boss of this mountain peak."

With enough self-awareness, Chun Xiaobai didn't approach that area. Instead, he turned his gaze not far to the left, where several independent courtyards stood, shimmering with a faint layer of cyan light shield.

"This looks good. Seems to even come with the legendary Formation!"

It looked high-end, grand, and classy at first glance!

He rubbed his hands together and, like Zhu Bajie spotting a beautiful maiden, directly ran over.

Soon, he arrived before an Immortal Cave. It was enveloped by a grayish, hazy light screen, making the specific conditions inside unclear.

He pinched his chin, pondering.

Based on the level of that Wu Liang guy earlier, as long as he could withstand the first wave of Spell attacks and find an opportunity to close in, with his three-thousand-jin force punch, he could knock out even ten of them.

If he paired that with a handy weapon...

Chun Xiaobai felt around his waist and pulled out the purple-gold token the red-skirted woman had given him. He weighed it in his hand; it had substantial heft.

"One 'brick' strike with this probably has the force of ten thousand jin, right?"

Hmm, acceptable!

Once prepared, he directly stepped forward, raised his hand, and gave the gray light shield a couple of firm 'thump thump' pats. Ripples spread across the shield's surface like water.

Soon, the gray light shield wavered, and a chubby, round little fatty walked out from within.

After emerging, the fatty squinted his eyes, glanced at Chun Xiaobai, then started walking, intending to pass right by him.

"What the hell? Looking down on This Great King?"

Chun Xiaobai immediately flared up. He took a sideways step, directly blocking the fatty's path, and raised his chin.

"You fat bastard, This Great King is commandeering your territory!"
